Florence Gardens Boutique Hotel and Restaurant

Our room was very nice - comfy bed, great shower, lovely furnishings.

Location was odd - residential with very little parking and few nearby restaurants; our room was at the top of four flights of stairs, the staff offered several times to assist with bags so it is not a big problem but something to be aware of.

The location was absolutely perfect - super close to the beach and in walking proximity to lots of dog friendly spots. The staff were amazing, super helpful, and so sweet. It was a cute boutique hotel that exceeded my expectations! Parking was easy (I requested the parking pad and was accommodated).

My first night (after requesting a quiet area) ended up with a couple arriving after a night out (it was a Saturday to be fair) around 1am and were up chattering until well after 3am. The hotel wasn’t well insulated from sound so it was pretty disruptive to my sleep. The kettle also was quite unclean and riddled with calcium/mineral deposits, so I didn’t end up making coffee in the mornings. Also wish the breakfast service went a little later, as it ended at 9am.

Didn’t like the area it was in, although it was close to the seafront.

I thought the restaurant was more like a canteen. Bedroom although described as executive was absolutely not furniture very very tired. Didn’t think the bed was a king size although that’s what it was advertised as for an executive room no safe no fridge.

The staff were very helpful, the parking which we had pre booked was easy to find and very close, breakfast was lovely and they even upgraded our room which was a nice surprise

Would have liked a drink on Monday night. Bar appeared to be open, but no staff anywhere.

Room was comfortable, clean and hot showers. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Good breakfast and hotel had a nice vibe.

The hotel bar lacked atmosphere

Lovely atmosphere, décor, furnishings. Warm and intimate.

Mix up with parking was a worry as a disabled person, but all sorted at last. Wouldn’t stop me returning, lovely hotel and staff.

The gated parking was exceptional/necessary. The common areas were really lovely and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and accommodating of needs. The refillable filtered water provided in the room and accessible 24hours in flat or still was a very welcome feature by our group. Thank you for providing such lovely accommodations and a relaxing experience.

It was quite warm in the room, thankfully we were in a room where a cross breeze was possible to create between the window in the room and the window in the bathroom.A set of blackout curtains could be helpful for the bedroom.

Very spacious, clean room with a large comfortable bed. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Lovely breakfast. We chose parking in a bay just outside reception which was ideal.

The directions on booking.com took you to an adjacent road.

The room was lovely, very clean and tastefully decorated although too hot so we had to turn off all the radiators to sleep. Breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely pleasant.

The towels were a dirty gray.There was no refrigerator.The curtain on the window didn't close properly.I could hear everything that was going on in the room upstairs. I heard every word the family said. And I could hear everything they did in the bathroom, even though I was in the room.I travel a lot in the UK.This is the first time breakfast has been served only from the menu.It's very inconvenient. The wait is long.There's not even a table with fresh pastries, jams, cheese, or ham.

Quirky rooms with a unique and comfortable style, breakfast was very good with a good choice and great service

Our shower and toilet had clear glass windows which put us on view to the high rise behind, perhaps for comfort apply something to the glass.
