Cons -
- I'm sure the staff were as frustrated as I was that the door-key system wasn't working, so I had to fetch one of them every time I needed access. And - a very small point - the toilet seat needs adjusting so it doesn't continually fall forward when tilted back.
- Problems with room key card meant I had to disturb staff every time I needed to get into room.
- The card system for room entry was awaiting repair but the manager was always available to open the room upon request. The rooms could benefit from a. a chair b. Mugs, not tiny cups.

The bad was not clean which I did not notice on the evening. I came out in an appalling rash as I had been bitten by bed bugs on my face and shoulders. I contacted the property to alert them. They have not responded in four days so I am leaving this review
Great wee.hotel for an overnight stay right in the heart of town. Great for football ground and train station. Would highly recommend plus nice bat
Rooms a bit dated butovrtall fantastic hotel right in the hesrt of zdingwall. Lovely wee.place
Very good ensuite room. Very clean and very quiet. Located in the town centre the hotel is convenient for local amenities. Highly recommended.
Centrally located
Well trodden, sparse
Had booked for a few days and was a little apprehensive after reading some reviews. I have to admit at £41 per night it was a bargain. Its true its a little tired looking, but nothing like some of the reviews suggested and my room was clean and tidy and had everything I need for the two nights I was staying. The staff were also very pleasant and happy to chat, I had the steak pie which was lovely and at very reasonable prices. It was clear the community used this hotel for local gatherings and thats to be commended. Would definitely stay again.
The bed was a little creaky and the shower wasnt as warm as I like, but that's a personal preference.
Staying at this family-run business was a lovely experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, we felt very welcome from the minute we arrived. The (deluxe double) room was spacious and scrupulously clean. Probably the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The bath was huge and despite some less than modern bathroom decor, it felt quite luxurious. There was a separate power shower, too. Very comfy bed, also. We requested a last-minute late check out and instead of making us feel like an inconvenience, we were made to feel very welcome once again. The customer service here is exceptional. I cannot recommend this lovely hotel enough. It’s the best value for money I’ve ever felt I’ve had in a hotel.
Brilliant location friendly staff spotlessly clean which is very difficult to achieve in an older building beds very comfortable. You simply could not complain about this place.
The Manager was invested in the business and ongoing maintenance was evident.
The Continental breakfast was lacking variety. In order to minimise waste, consider pre-order. Checkout was left to staff who appeared to lack adequate training and with restricted access to supervision?
Good location.
Front door locked upon arrival. NOBODY asked my room number the first 3 mornings. I was asked on the 4th morning and told I had to pay £9 for breakfast which was then waived.
Poor shower, no food available,...
Location
Did not have breakfast as had to catch ferry in UllapoolLocation was excellent
For me it suited
Location good. Didn’t have breakfast
Floors very dusty.
Beautiful building, at the heart of the town. Period decoration, high ceilings. Very pretty place, Housekeeping was great,
The original windows were beautiful but struggled with the storm winds we had during the visit. If it wasn’t for Storm Bram we probably wouldn’t have noticed it as much
The hotel was inexpecive and close to the venue we were visiting.
The room was small in comparison to other rooms used by our party which was disappointing.
Really friendly staff and nice hotel. Good bar and atmosphere. Really good value for money too. Quite too for a big hotel.
Could do with upgrade/updating but for the room rate well worth it indeed.
Friendly staff, Great location, Rooms spacious and clean. Good food as well here
It was a little warm at night however I did find a fan in the wardrobe to resolve that issue just a little bit of a pain the heat woke me to have to get the fan.
