The Priory Hotel

Nicely appointed room in a remote town. Nice breakfast. Close to our search for movie locations for LOCAL HERO...favorite movie shot in the area.

The public restroom was not clean, nor was it stocked. It would have taken me a long two flight of stairs to reach our private restroom. Out of the two public restrooms downstairs, only one was in working order.

We were given rooms that were spacious and the complimentary breakfast was outstanding. Breakfast is usually not included in the U.K. and spacious rooms and baths are not to be taken for granted. Try the smoked haddock with poached eggs for breakfast!

Nice location. Good value. Great staff. Nice restaurant. We stayed here in summer and our room was on the west side of the hotel on the upper floor. They provided a fan, but room was very hot in the evenings. The shower water is also heated (no cool water). It cooled off again by morning. Ok, if staying out late. It is very cool outside. The room just absorbs the heat.

Conveniently located in the center of town close to restaurants and a grocery store. Room and bathroom were very spacious. Was glad to have a fan in the room as it was hot outside. Staff was friendly and gave us options for laundry.

The room and hallways are in need of a makeover. The 2 chairs in the suite are so worn and faded, they look as though they are from the 70's. I would have expected to at least have a mini-fridge in a suite.

The room was very basic, clean and tidy. Breakfast was included in the price and was excellent. Dinner was very good, fish was more like a "Whale" very tasty. The staff were very professional.

This hotel could do with being up graded, it looked very tired. The furniture a bit dated in the bedrooms.

Excellent restaurant with friendly staff.

The room was quite basic and looked in need of renovation - for what it provided, it wasn’t good value. Our main criticism is their policy of adding a “discretionary” 10% service charge, not mentioned on the restaurant menu. It would be preferable to either have a fixed, up-front charge or to say that the amount is at the customer’s discretion. Removing the charge already added to the bill is possible (and was offered) but we found this quite embarrassing.

13A sockets became the standard in 1947. So why are there still 5A round pin sockets in the rooms?

As described on most of trip advisors comments we got a friendly welcome our room and en suite were very nice and the room was nice and warm the rest was very good IE the bar the food the friendly staff the breakfast was excellent with a very good selection ?. We would stay again ?

The towel rail in the en suite didn't work room 15 that was the only slight downside

Friendly and helpful staff in ALL departments. From the reception staff, waiting staff and house staff.ALL friendly and most helpful.

A very relaxed environment. Food excellent from a simple scone and jam to lovely home-made steak pie with all the trimmings.Extensive and varied menus from breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner. Oh yes! There's an 'all day' menu too. You'll never go hungry.

We were in a remote room, which was nice, but the WiFi signal did not reach the room in a consistent manner.

Perfect place to stay in Beauly. Huge rooms, brilliant, welcoming, friendly and positive staff. Particular thanks go to Kate. Rarely on my travels do I meet someone who clearly enjoys their job, who is so proactive and helpful it kind of takes you a little by surprise. What a superb ambassador for the Priory and I can’t praise her enough. Kate’s approach, personality and professionalism made my stay. Please pass on my our sincere thanks. Brilliant.

Parking as a hotel guest at busy periods is problematic. Had to drive around for 30 minutes to be able to park and retire to our rooms. Even then we were lucky. Staff at times seem to be overwhelmed during busy periods and tbh I felt a bit sorry for them.

Not a lot ,my husband enjoyed his high tea Menu ,Myself have a diet problem ,there was no choice for me ,but the waitress on duty did her ver best for me

Breakfast was fine the service throughout was excellent, room needed places to put suitcases.

Large room with modern shower. Very clean. Staff very helpful. Plenty of parking but could be busy as it’s the town centre. Food was good.

Visited with my sister and her 3 grandaughters. The staff were able to accommodate us with an extra bed in the room for 7year old. Very helpful and considerate

Lovely hotel. Breakfast very good and lovely dinner.

Shower was a bit cool but perhaps due to amount of people using their shower at the same time.

Breakfast the best. Dinner very good.

Bathroom Towel rail did not work, hence extra towels requested. Report and will be fixed.
