Pros +
- The location is great for visiting Aviemore and the Cairngorms. The beds were comfy, although they were two singles put together rather than a real double. The check-in and out were simple, albeit no express check-out.The room had two shaver sockets which was nice for my toothbrush. You don't see those in newer hotels.
- good room , plenty of parking , warm , clean , happy staff , nice location , fair price
- Great location for skiing, climbing and hiking. Clean comfortable room
Cons -
- The building's decor and staff training appear to not have been updated since 1975. The food was overpriced for the school dinner-like quality. When eating, the staff were over-attentive, like they were running a fine dining restaurant rather than a budget hotel. For dinner, a second waiter asked me what I wanted, not realising I'd already ordered. At breakfast, when I had a bowl of cereal, and the waiter brought me my cooked breakfast, he almost took the cooked plate away and said "oh, I didn't realise you were having cereal", despite me being on a table for 4 by myself. I had to keep reassuring this staff member, who was clearly new, that everything was OK.Parking is limited. If you don't arrive early, you will probably have to park on the street.
- The sound proofing between rooms could be better
- The biscuits, tunnocks tea cakes would be much preferred

Great location for skiing, climbing and hiking. Clean comfortable room

Clean, well organised, had all we needed there a warm and cosy highland getaway
The biscuits, tunnocks tea cakes would be much preferred
Breakfast was great, super choices and plenty of it. Rooms were clean and comfortable.Large lounge for sitting in at night was lovely for playing games in and relaxing.
Really convenient for main road. Lovely helpful reception staff. A good sense of offering proper service in comfortable surroundings. The breakfast staff were so attentive and professional. A good room. Warm on a cold nasty day. Clean bathroom. Tea and coffee tray. Meal and a bar. Dogs welcome at no extra cost which is such a bonus. All round very good. Thanks
The only niggle was the bathroom light switch was by the main door of the room. But not a problem.
The room was spacious, clean and with good facilities, this also applies to the en-suite. The staff werre friendly and helpful on arrival and throughout the stay. The breakfast was varied and good. I would stay again. There was a fire alarm evacuation on my day of departure and I thought the staff dealt with it quickly and professionally and quickly established the source (it wasn't a real fire) and ensured safe re-entry to the building.
Nothing comes to mind
room and breakfast good value for money
noise in corridors and floor above after 11pm
So nice, highly recommended, the room was big, very clean, comfy beds, good food at the restaurant, some very nice souvenirs homemade by the locals
The hotel was.very.clean, the staff , in particularly Victor was.amazing,.very helpful and friendly. The GM and Deputy manger as well. Thank you and definitely we will come back.Ionut
I cannot complain
The property is well maintained, the location is remarkable, we have stayed here 2 times now and we will be returning, the staff are amazing always going above and beyond, they are caring and considerate the owner is an amazing host and makes you feel welcome! Nothing is to much. If I could rate over 10 I would.
The hotel and service was reserved good
We left a day early as there was a convention on and someone left their dogs in their pick up all night and tge dogs barked constantly which kept us awake all night. The lady on the desk said she would try and arrange another stay for free. Might hear something after I submit this review. Would not hesitate to come back and visit the hotel.
Clean and comfortable
Shower was roasting and couldn’t turn it down.Smell off sewage in the bathroom
Very good value for money. Our room had a new bathroom which was lovely and clean. It was warm and cosy. Bed was a little hard but for the price it was worth it.
Lovely friendly and helpful lady at check-in. Rooms were a good size with ensuite shower room and separate area for hanging clothes with shelving. Comfortable king-size bed. Tea and coffee facilities
Easy check in. Room clean.
Road noise
Very comfortable and spacious room, had a good night's sleep. Excellent shower and the food (both dinner and breakfast) was well cooked and delicious. Will definitely stay her again! Also wonderful Christmas decorations and scenes... really added to the festive atmosphere!
There was nothing I didn't like.
All was well. enjoyed our weekend there, staff were very helpful and dog friendly. Our only issue was the breakfast, was such a small portion, but apart from that all was quite well, enjoyed the bar area as well and dog was comfortable in the room as well
Breakfast should be a bit bigger portion, and more selections
Lovely staff and the room was great, very clean and comfortable. The area was beautiful too.
Comfortable accommodation, quality staff, good food and service
