Beautiful location and facilities. The food was excellent and the staff exceptional
Beautiful hotel with amazing facilities and very comfortable rooms. The staff were all lovely and made sure that we were very well looked after. The sauna overlooking the highland cows also completely won me over.
Exceptional dinner. Extremely clean. Manager and staff were very welcoming and keen to make sure our stay was perfect
The structure is perfectly in line with the wonderful country side context with a touch of confort and modern revisitation Wonderful sauna in the middle of the country side with great view and privacy Service is good. Staff young, polite and available
Dinner has a limited choice and the menu remains the same over the stay (3 days in our case). Food is OK but overpriced I would have liked to have the airplane tour I booked but it was cancelled due to bad weather and was not possible to find another slot (this is of course out of the control of the structure)
This is our third visit. It is such a relaxing place to visit, especially if you want luxury nights away from the hustle and busle of city life. The accommodation is surrounded by working farms. You would never know that you were only 30 minutes away from Inverness. Try their Michelin Star restaurant. You won't be disappointed.
Very high quality surroundings and furniture. Staff were lovely. Food was excellent. Great location. I stayed on my own and it was very comfortable to do so. Relaxed environment.
I was hoping for a bath but I had a standard room. On the pricey side but you kind of have to pay a lot these days to get a high standard.
A wonderful place, tastefully renovated property with bonus Highland Coos. Our rooms were upgraded and we really appreciated having washing facilities two weeks into our road trip. Excellent three course dinner and breakfast on lovely dining area. I would highly recommend.
It was all superb
Absolutely stunning property! The whole place has a peaceful charm that makes you instantly relax. Rooms were spotless and beautifully designed. Grace was a standout—so friendly and helpful with her tips on where to go and what to see. We explored places we never would’ve found without her.
We mentioned in advance that we were celebrating a big occasion—my husband’s birthday and our 25th anniversary—but there was no mention of it at all. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, but at this price point, we expected a little something extra to make the moment feel more special.
Beautiful decor, country house feeling, friendly helpful stuff, food at the restaurant was delicious, breakfast and dinner.
Amazing set up, beautiful rooms, clean, friendly and super helpful staff. Delicious food, comfy bed.Sauna facilities are great.Highly recommend it, definitely will be coming back !
Love this historic and unique hotel with beautiful design in and out. The surrounding of the hotel was very peaceful! Highly recommend to everyone for a good retreat.
If they served hot breakfast would be fantastic.

Beautiful property! Beautifully decorated and very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel.
We had notified the hotel in advance that we would be celebrating our 40th anniversary and they had no record of it.
I don't think I've ever written a perfect review, but Newhall Mains was incredible and so reasonably priced for the services. Beds: Comfy, clean and high qualityStaff: I could go on and on, felt like old friends right out of the gate. Attentive, professional and friendly. Chris, Iona and JD were so kind and friendly. Activities: Pilot Euan made the flight work and it was right when we arrived. He pointed out everything we saw and catered the flight to what I was interested in - i.e. castles, villages. The staff told us where to go and how to get there to avoid lines, traffic and touristsLocation/Property: It is private and remote and if you are looking for a chill, relaxing time, this is the place. The property is stunning, green and so pristine. As you can tell, I would HIGHLY recommend Newhall Mains to anyone looking for a relaxing, intimate stay.
We liked so much the building, the position,The environment.. the structure..
I would expected to find some more few details that you expected when you’ll go in a 5 stars hotels, such as for example the amenities you’ll find in the room that usually are complementary.. but overall we are satisfy
Simply fabulous. The staff are exceptional from the second you arrive to the moment you leave. The rooms are beautifully presented. The restaurant offers a stunning choice of local produce. The wine list is comprehensive and reasonably priced. The bar is well stocked with extensive gin and whiskey lists.
