    Pros +

    • Friendly and helpful staff in a lovely location with a great view over the water. The room was adequately furnished but most importantly was clean. The bed was comfortable and a good nights sleep was had by all.Breakfast was plentiful with a decent choice in a dining room with a great view.
    • Nice lounge and breakfast area with lovely view on the bay. The host was very hospitable and funny to chat with after a long day of exploring Skye - he even offered good whisky recommendations. Our room was initially rather cold due to some issue with the heater but the host was quick at fixing it.Good location fro driving around the Isle of Skye.
    • The breakfast was really great, everything you could want, from continental through to full cooked breakfast, it was very well laid out and organised....the view from the dining room is lovely, very peaceful for breakfast, loved it ❤️

    Cons -

    • The hotel needs some modernisation and freshening up but for one night was more than adequate. The breakfast wasn't the most tasty, but we had been spoilt during our week in Scotland and the bar was high.
    • The room was rather small. Not specifically related to the hotel: there are not many dining options in the area, so suggest making plans for dinner in advance. Most pubs and restaurant close at 8pm.
    • Nothing, from arriving to leaving everything was perfect. Andy was the most welcoming, helpful and funny host! Such a great guy, he made our stay ❤️ ? ♥️

    A disaster

the hotel was closedWhen we got there at 9pm the hotel was closed so we had no accommodation for 2 nights and there was 7 of us it was an absolute disaster

it was clean and inviting. Lovely bar area and breakfast room. The hosts couldn’t do enough for you. andy was very helpful and informative.

it was all lovely. If I was picky there were some bits of building material outside the property that could be stored away.

Andy was an extremely hospitable host, with lots of local recommendations for restaurants for dinner.Amazing picturesque view during breakfast, which itself was also great.Location is right before the bridge to Skye, and a ~5 minute drive from Duirinish, the town with the highland cows.

The most welcoming host you could wish for. Nothing was a problem. You can bring your takeaway back to the huge comfy lounge area and use the cutlery and crockery. Enjoy a drink and play board games in the bar area. Binoculars by the large windows in the restaurant area overlooking the water and islands was also a nice extra. Room was clean and comfy. Plenty to choose from at breakfast.

I suggest you get to breakfast earlier rather than later as it's a buffet all food is in serving dishes so it's not that hot if you come later. Having said that as the eggs had run out, delicious fresh hot scrambled egg was made for me- so you can't get better than that.

The views! And the breakfast! Fabulous! Beautiful bar and dining room. Owner was a lovely fella. Really nice place to stay.

Quite remote so definately need a car. No shops or pubs close by.

The Tingle Creek Hotel was a very pleasant surprise as it is always hard to book accommodation from the other side of the world - our host was most welcoming after a long day of driving, the surrounding garden totally charming and the inside lounges warm and cosy and nicely decorated. as was our bedroom with its wonderful view. Breakfast was generous and good. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend,. We wish all at the Tingle Creek Hotel including the two gorgeous boys a safe and pleasant festive season. Regards Helen and Ninian, Humbug Scrub, South Australia

There was nothing we didn't like but it was a pity that the chef had relocated back to Edinburgh as an evening meal with the view from the dining room would have been perfect.

This was a beautiful place to stay. Overlooking the water a pretty garden and cows wandering near. They were helpful with information and the breakfast was generous and excellent. Lovely little extra - pair of binoculars and a bird book as we look out over breakfast!

The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Staff/owner was great.

Stayed in Room 2 and there was a bit of intermittent noise from what I think was the heating system. Not enough to keep me awake though!

Really cozy and well maintained.. room was clean and well equipped. The location is superb with a great view. The host was very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast with a gorgeous view!

The host was very nice. The room was great, very clean. The beds were comfy. The surroundings also looked great. Good location. Parking available. Breakfast was also great.

It is still a bit pricey. The fan in the bathroom does not appear to be working properly.

Very welcoming Host Andy + staff, doing a fab job at Tingle, during our three night stay. The place is spotless clean. Very relaxing, comfy ensuite room, with everything you need. Modern but with a twist of traditional tartans + big wood furnishings. Lounge area downstairs has various big squashy couches to enjoy a drink from the well stocked in-house bar. The view from the dining room + the outside decking/seating area is amazing. The buffet brekki will definately set you up for the day - plenty of choice of cooked + continental. Bonus, free, onsite parking, aswel. So glad we found this 'lil gem of a place and would definately recommend.

Nothing. A 'Mary Poppins' stay - practically perfect in every way !

    good location.

No evening meal, early closure of bar. Felt as though we were a nuisance asking for drinks in the evening.

Hosts went out of their way to meet our requests. We had a lovely room with a sea view, there was lots of information about where to eat locally and about things to do. The location is only 5 minutes from the centre of the Kyle of LocAlsh by car, very quiet and close to the coast. Perfect.

A warm welcome and a very comfortable, clean and quiet room - with a bath!... which was a bonus. The view was beautiful from our window, too. Breakfast was top standard, lots of choice. Thank you.

    Can't think of anything.
