Pros +
- Good breakfast. Great location
- The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable but small. Lovely evening meal and Beer. Great location.
- Very welcoming, very friendly and especially James was very knowledgeable about the local area, and its history. The meals were very, very fresh, but enormous. We don't think portion control came into it!!Cooked Breakfast for himself was a joy to behold, especially the fried bread !!
Cons -
- A bit run down. Limited evening menu
- Some of the fittings were either broken or poorly fitted. The breakfast was ok but basic and the menu in plastic was cheap.
- We have had much thought about this and we can't think of anything.

Lovely location, good food, bedroom was clean and comfortable.
Looked a little tired.
A very helpful young man carried our heaviest case upstairs - very much appreciated! Thank you. The room was okay for one night, but the bathroom was very spacious and had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked, and we really enjoyed it. Good car parking and a fantastic sea view. Very close to Inverewe Gardens (National Trust for Scotland).
The room was small, but it was fine for one night.
Very dog friendly even in bar & restaurant. Lovely spacious, comfortable room. The staff were very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Beware, giant portions at dinner
All good
Very good breakfast and dinner! Excellent location! Very quiet hotel.
Convenient location
Welcome was not pleasant- arrived at 15:45 and were told to go away until 4pm! Dining area was absolutely freezing.
Location. Friendly staff. Size of room and en-suite. Clean and comfortable.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a delicious meal in their restaurant and there was a great selection for breakfast including a full English/scottish breakfast.
Room was quite small but did the job.
Staff were friendly enough, location was nice
Room extremely tired and datedCooked breakfast was awful, scrambled eggs were partially uncooked.Would not stay again
Great bar and good food. Fun Guitar Player on Sunday night.
Carpet is a bit shabby, could use some paint. The new suite on the upper deck was great, but it was a little cold.
The bartender and staff were pleasant. We enjoyed the evening meal and really appreciated the breakfast selections. Best breakfast on our trip!
The location,is marvellous, staff friendly, room comfortable, bathroom tight, a bit old-fashioned.
It was a bit expensive for it's value.
Good location, room was clean, comfortable
Tired hotel in need of renovation. Food was poor, spoilt what would have been a nice stay
It is in a great location and is very much like it was when we visited some years ago. Nice people staying there and it’s interesting meeting new people. Staff nice and helpful.
I didn’t realise that I had booked a twin disabled access room. This would have been fine except that the shower head wouldn’t stay in place. Had to tie it on. My fault.
Location close to Inverewe gardens
Tiny rooms. Outdated furniture and carpeting. Mattress creaking. Bathroom window not tight, idem for room door ( light shining through).
Everything, beautiful location, perfect for dogs, beautiful beaches. Handy to get the ferry to Lewis from Ullapool. Lovely staff
The room was comfortable. Food was great and the staff were welcoming and very helpful.
The room could do with some updating and a bit of maintenance.
Excellent local real ale on draught in the bar. Comfortable bed.
Extraordinary en suite facility! The door from the bedroom was hinged at the top, not at the side! So one had to push it in until the door bottom hit the bath, and then squeeze one’s body in and out of space now provided, keeping low so that there was room for one’s head!Dinner menu rather unexciting.
