Pros +
- Breakfast at Toravaig House was exceptional, and the staff were very nice and accommodating! We appreciated how close our room was to Eilean Donan Castle, to Red Skye Restaurant, and to Armadale Castle. All of our destinations were easily within driving distance.
- We were moved to a neighbouring hotel which was very nice but out of our price range. Staff were all incredibly polite and helpful
- Due to maintenance issue, we did not actually stay at Toravaig House. We were moved to the Duisdale house, their sister hotel. It was lovely and very comfortable. It was a little fancier than we originally planned for but worked out very well.
Cons -
- Our room was a bit cramped; I definitely stubbed my toe on the wall a few times trying to get around the bed to the bathroom. It was also a bit annoying that the bathroom fan seemed to be triggered by the bathroom door opening and on a timer, so we couldn't turn it off for quiet after being in the bathroom.
- There was a green, glowing light in our room. It illuminated our room. (Looked like part of the emergency evacuation system) That was NOT great. Luckily, we both had sleep masks with us.
- The decoration of the whole place is totally out. The twin beds are extra small. No one to help with luggage.

The property was lovely. We enjoyed sitting in the den by the fire. My husband especially enjoyed the soft mattress. We chose the location in order to catch an early morning ferry, but the ferry was cancelled. It was still a great relaxing night.

Everything from the welcome by manager Matt, to the beautiful rooms, lounge areas, spectacular breakfast and dinner at their sister hotel. Matt’s knowledge of the area was so helpful.
Very comfortable stay, light refreshments and bar service available and pleasant to meet other travelers. Also access to lovely dinner at neighbor restaurant
Breakfast is delicious.

Friendly helpful staffcomfortable bedsnice lounge for wine and great breakfast
a bit out of the way and not much close to it
Beautiful room, extremely comfortable bed. Dinner at associated hotel was delicious. Member of staff in evening for day menu service was a delight
Reception and breakfast staff were not very friendly or accommodating. Breakfast took forever to be served.
Quiet et cosy place, very comfortable.
The room had a view on bin.
The location was beautiful - quiet and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and the inclusion of shampoo and conditioner was amazing. The view from our bedroom window was lovely. Breakfast was nice - cooked fresh. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
The price for the room was expensive. It wasn’t the Ritz. But I guess holiday season allows price hikes.
The location was lovely and, had it not been the weather, the outside areas looked like they would have been very pleasant. Breakfast was nice and provided a good start to the day.
The room was very cramped with my partner struggling to get into the shower. There was no air conditioning which would have been an issue in hotter weather. Bearing that in mind, I think the price was probably about 50% more than a fair price.
Nice property and decor.
No lift, the shower space is too small. No onsite restaurant.
The staff were very helpful . The property looked clean and new.
The lounge was not cozy enough. The seating should have been arranged so the sofas looked out the window to the loch. The breakfast tables were not big enough as you had to constantly move things around to fit the breakfast on it. For the price, it was not good enough.
The staff was so friendly and helpful. breakfast great ! Nice shuttle service to Restaurant.
Too expensive. Bed and bathroom very small. Chairs on terras outside need a new coat of paint look worn

Maybe it’s because it’s on Skye as I really think it’s not good value for money. TBH it’s not much better than a B&B that I stayed 15 years ago but I spent merely 1/10 of the money. The only big difference is that there is a bathroom within the room for this one. The room is so tiny small. I feel the mattress has been there for ages and is extremely soft with little support so it’s very uncomfortable.
