As usual another lovely stay. I come up to visit my father in Seaview care home so it’s not really a holiday but feel the hotel has a friendly homely feel. I visit several times a year and always stay at the Norseman. Comfy beds, clean rooms and friendly staff.
Comfortable and welcoming hotel, with well trained staff. The room was clean, with a very good shower and bathroom. Breakfast was delicious.
Great location, staff were so attentive, the breakfast was fantastic, a great choice at buffet and good value for money.
Our room window wouldn’t close so we had to be re-roomed, the shower in our room made a loud noise and only luke warm water, hotel is rather dated.
Overall a really nice hotel. Rooms were comfy, the bar area was nice with a good amount of drinks on offer and the breakfast was nice. Also conveniently located for the railway station and bus stop.
The only negative I could find is it could do with a slight refresh as it felt a bit dated in areas.
Clean , evening meal and breakfast exceptional , friendly staff
Dog barking continuously at 7 am
Brilliant stay as always. Clean, friendly and lovely breakfast.
All the staff were very attentive, friendly and welcoming, they all helped in making the stay so good. We really enjoyed being able to sit in the lounge with family as it felt Christmas's and there was room to play hide and seek with our granddaughter! She also enjoyed playing on the piano. The food was excellent and we ate in the hotel both evenings.
I wouldn't change anything.
The welcome from the staff, breakfast, very clean rooms.
Nothing, everything was fab
It was a very enjoyable stay. The hotel has a lovely homely atmosphere, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious !I would definitely recommend.
Breakfast was a huge selection.Warm plates would have been good and food a lot warmer
Bar staff could use a smile
Comfortable bed, good food and free parking friendly staff.
The bathroom could do with some attention and the lock and door handle needed attention
Clean and comfortable.Bar and restaurant onsite, decent food.
A bit tired - frayed towels a bit disappointing.
Lovely staff. Great room warm and comfortable. Food was excellant.
All good.
Staff were friendly, meal was good value and the breakfast was fine. The location was good for our purpose too.
Someone came along to our window from outside and banged on our window and whilst this wasn’t a big issue it wasn’t very nice. We did inform the reception staff who said that unfortunately this had arisen beforehand.
Great location for town centre. Free parking.
The room and entire hotel are extremely dated and shabby and in dire need of overhaul / upgrade / investment. No staff at the desk. Really tired and grubby bathroom. Hallway felt like a scene from The Shining!
This was a good location, the room was comfortable and clean. Parking was convenient. Seems to be a frequent stop for mid-sized tour groups as there were several groups that came through during our stay.
Breakfast was OK, the buffet items didn't get re-filled very quickly. We were told we couldn't eat our take-away dinner in the fireplace room, even though there was no one else around.
Really nice staffMeals were excellent, and breakfast, too
Prefer the front room over the riverside, but that's personal choice
