    • good breakfast
    • Amazing breakfast. Super friendly staff. Beauty view. Great pub

    Cons -

    • Small room and tiny TV. The price should have been lower. No nearby stores for buying groceries.
    • Would like to have ordered some food to eat in the bar lounge but the host at the desk did not allow it. That was a little disappointing.
    • Very small single room. Could almost use the toilet from the bed. The bed may have been original to the hotel.

Hotel is located is a perfect location for visiting Isle of Skye with views of the bridge right outside the door.Staff were friendly and helpful, room was good side and bathroom/shower perfect too

The bed unfortunately seemed to have seen better days, not the most comfortable. And unfortunately the desserts werent very nice, seemed to be frozen deserts thawed out to serve and ours was still fairly frozen

The room was clean & comfortable with a good renovated bathroom. The restaurant & bar area is large. They do get large bus groups there at times. The meal was nice but basic. Good location near the bridge to the mainland & 20 mins drive from the ferry at Armadale. They appeared to be understaffed so those that were there seemed stressed & one lady quite unfriendly. Otherwise pretty good & Skye is the most beautiful place.

Bedding was clean, bathroom facilities not bad, had dinner in restaurant the food wasn't as bad as some have experienced, breakfast was good.

Rooms are very tired looking to the point looking quite scruffy, carpet and curtains yuk, for what we paid, more the twice the price of premier inn the night before where in comparison the prem Inn was 5*

The location and the staff were great. Big buffet breakfast. Character in the bar and restaurant.

The insulation between rooms was very bad and the mattress was too hard for me. Good for people who like hard mattresses.

Location close to the Skye bridge

It was clad in scaffolding so our view was obstructed from the bedroom The corridor smelt of tobacco smoke which was disgusting The hotel was very tired and could do with a refresh

    Absolutely nothing

The place was terrible. Huge lack of hygiene (only the bed was hair less) ! The hotel was smelling cold cigarette, the room was full of hair, the shower was broken and very old, the light was from another century…I asked for a travel cot (which was for free, and this was nice) but without pillow and without blanket. The breakfast was cold, not hygienic and I saw a hair in the cereals.Anyway, I don’t understand the good comments

Location was great, staff the same. The building used to be a youth hostel which I stayed in many times. It has been upgraded at a cost and this shows everywhere, however the rooms were clean and well presented and I'd have no issues staying again

The bed was on castors and moved about very much but didn't stop me from sleeping. The shower was impossible to use due to the layout but the room itself was clean and tidy.

Good size twin room with river view that we stayed. Got lift to rooms, good bath room facilities, with good breakfast

Decor bit old and a few mosquitos in room, quiet town with limited restaurants around

    not much, very unorganised

Poor Breakfast, hot breakfast had been kept warm to longRoom was very small, could not open room door dew to bed been up against door, TV was in foreign languageRestaurant was very poor, food was of poor quality, looked as if was all cooked from frozen, menu was poor.

the hotel has alot of history and chracter the room we stayed in was in reflection of the age of the building great place

swapped rooms as our room we was given and the hallway smelled of cigarettes

    Not very pleasant.

Old hotel, paper thin walls. Old matresses. No bathmat so were just dripping on the floor. Unsecured Wi-Fi. Unfriendly and snappy staff. At least it was clean.

The single room was comfortable and the bathroom was new so no issues there.

Although the room was nice, it was on ground floor next to fire exit door. On the second night someone, either a guest or night staff, would open the fire exit door every half an hour or so to smoke. This continually filtered into my room even when I closed the window. They then banged the door shut . This went on right through the night and I got very little sleep. On the first night I ordered the chicken and it arrived about 30 seconds after I ordered it. It was warm but not hot. Typically British I ate it but I did mention it to the waitress who was very nice. I was advised to tell the receptionist when I paid. I did so and wasn't looking for anything but her attitude was terrible. She was so unfriendly and very curt when I checked in but when I mentioned the meal she was just rude. The manager appeared and he was rude and slightly aggressive. Hotel is way overpriced for what it is, although that's Skye prices! Food was not great do I wouldn't eat there again. For me the receptionist and manager need a customer relations course.

    Leaving.

Gross skin crawling room ever. Couldn't wash all stay due to taps on sink broken and thick germy black mould in the shower and on the unhygienic shower head which has never been cleaned.Didnt sleep mattress horrid and uncomfy hard springs. The dust was horrific not vacuumed properly. When I complained they said to send email in. Another lady had same complaint. obv don't bleach the bathrooms and cant be botheredcleaning properly. They make you pay before you see the overpriced rip off room and then you're trapped into staying. It's very difficult to find parking. And breakfast is low quality bland with little choice.

The hotel is much better than I have expected after reading the reviews. The location, the breakfast and the room itself including cleanliness are flawless. I really enjoyed watching The Skye Bridge from the breakfast room. There is a huge free car park next to the hotel where electric car charger is also available. All places of interest on the island are easily accessible from the hotel. Across the bridge there is a supermarket open till 10 p.m. (just 5-minute drive away).

Personally, I prefer staff who are a bit more relaxed and less formally polite, but that's just a matter of personal taste. The technical cabinet in the hallway could use a better location, as it blocks the passage and could be a safety risk. The interior is defenitely in need of a thorough renovation. Overall, we were happy with the hotel, but the price felt a bit too high.

Good location.Breakfast was OK - self serve buffet style.

Lots of people checking in but only one member on staff on reception so very slow.Parking limited and already full when we arrived. Parking not allowed on road outside despite no double yellow lines!Room was small with creaky floors - flooring in bathroom is lifting and needs attention.Hotel is generally looking 'tired' - felt overpriced compared to other accommodation we stayed in on this same trip.

    Location, breakfast, friendly staff.

Parking limited, needs updating in parts.

For a small room nicely set up...

One of the beds was a little lumpy...And the mirror above the toilet was comical. Just move it above the sink.
