- Nice place and the staff were super friendly.
- Location. Size of room
- Our third time staying here and it's consistently good! Room is huge, very clean and comfortable! Breakfast was good, everything you'd expect, good quality! Lovely lady at breakfast who was super friendly as was the girl at check in!
Cons -
- The room we stayed in was in the main house but with two big suitcases it wasn’t the easiest to navigate the warrens of the rooms to find ours up and down stairs.
- Paid parking. No day curtain
- Absolutely nothing!!

Absolutely nothing!!
Good quality beds and rooms
The breakfast could be of a higher quality. From dishing it up to the walk back to the table the staff was cold. Very basic options but perhaps that reflects on the price at this time of year?
Hotel was nice and clean.
Car parking price in with hotel would be good. Kids fold down bed could be better.
EVERYTHING!! The rooms was well appointed, comfortable. The staff were lovely, Rachel at reception was very helpful. The restaurant was amazing - delicious meals! The property had a great mix of old world charm with more modern comforts.
The stairs, but easily overlooked because it’s an old building and to be expected.
Location, pub
Booked two rooms and in different buildings but it was a last minute booking
Room was lovely and warm, as we stayed at the beginning of February.Room was a good size and Bathroom had a shower and Bath.Very accommodating and their own carpark, which we did have to pay for.Very clean.Resturant served lovely food.
Nothing. All good.
The staff was very polite. The location of the hotel ideal. The size of the bed.
The room was a bit cold. There is no thermostat to adjust the temperature according to your needs.
Room was spotless clean and warm on arrival. Staff were very polite and welcoming too. Very happy
There wasn’t a lot to like unfortunately.
Breakfast was dreadful. We booked about a year ago and we were told that there would be plenty vegan options, this was not the case. The beans ran out and twice we had to remind the staff. Very poor choice of fresh fruit. A customer nearly burned themselves when a lid on the hot plate came off. Three quarters of an hour before they stopped serving breakfast on our third day they ran out of white bread. Very poor choice of cereal and no yoghurt (even though we were promised there would be when we asked before we booked). The seal on one of the bedroom windows was broken so the window was all gummed up and you couldn’t see out. No shelf in the bathroom so had to put the toilet bag on the floor. No sockets close enough to the bedside to be able to charge your phone. Parking charge of £12 is a joke. Park out the front as it is a fraction of the cost. All in all this hotel has really gone downhill since we were here a couple of years ago and the room we were in needs a total overhaul. Fawlty Towers looks good by comparison.
No complaints, comfortable room, great breakfast and lovely location.
No complaints. Enjoyed my stay.
Nice spacious room overlooking the river.
Awkward shower in bath. The control was difficult to use, specially with wet hands. TV was good quality but again awkward to use.
The staff were great. The bar and distillery a fantastic venue and staff in there amazingly knowledgeable.
The age of the building and a lack of decent soundproofing and creaky floorboards in the room above us meant we could hear the guy in the room using the toilet (including his 3am wee) making his phone calls and his snoring. There was a smoke alarm somewhere outside our room that needed its battery changed and beeped every minute. So overall not a great night’s sleep. My advice, do what my wife did, have a few drinks and put some ear plugs in!
Clean, pleasant staff, quiet and good location
Tasty range of food for non-coeliacs - breakfast. Dinner very good. Rooms are well appointed and some seem to be going through an upgrade.
Range for coeliacs (gluten free) not clearly marked at breakfast. This was important for my mother who is coeliac and found we had to ask a very busy staff member who was clearly working on her own in the buffet area and no time to be checking when she was replenishing food.
The hotel was very close to city center and was a very easy walk to the shops. The rooms were very cozy and perfect for our stay. The staff was very nice and helpful throughout our stay. We had breakfast included and it was a nice little spread. The restaurant also had a good selection for dinner. It felt like the staff cared very much about whether our stay was comfortable. If we’re in Inverness again, we’ll definitely stay here.
Really lovely, big room and they made sure to give us a ground floor one because I asked about the pram. Breakfast is nice in a lovely location.
Parking costs extra when it used to be free (£12 per night!!) and the £20 per charge per night is steep as well considering the extra effort for the hotel isn’t daily, it’s at most after checkout.
Lovely room. Great location. Food was good.
Very poor quality of pillows. The buffet breakfast was plentiful but plates were cold therefore by the time you got back to the table food was cold. Water in urns was look warm.
Good food and location excellent.
No hot water for shower and bath on last morning.Cobweb hanging from roof in our bedroom. The Glen Mhor is now a dispersed facility renamed an estate and no longer has the former homely feeling it formerly had.I note you now have to pay for the use of car park and visiting the distillery.
