Pros +
- location was okay. Rooms were big.
- The location of the Corriegour on Loch Lochy is lovely. The house itself is a pretty lodge. We loved the grounds and the dining room with all it's windows and fantastic views especially. The lady of the house was personal and very helpful.
- Location
Cons -
- Rooms were creaky with no air circulation. Water from the bathroom leaked into the kitchen apparently. Very dated setup.
- Our room was ground floor and the lowest priced BUT, still a wee bit shabby for the price. We had a sliding door in our room that was broken and the furnishings we just a little tired. Otherwise, any problems were handled quickly and we slept great.

Absolutely amazing guests
The scenery was beautiful as it is right on the Loch and it is very easy to find being on the main roadway. There is plenty of parking. We liked the upgrade bath that can with our room and housekeeping was very fast.
We had mixed experiences with staff, some very warm and inviting while others not so much. The lodge, while quaint and charming, needed some updating and TLC. The wallpaper was coming off in several places, the furniture rather worn and felt cluttered. The bed was particularly uncomfortable and the temperature in the room was really hard to regulate. We were either freezing or roasting.
Friendly staff, spacious rooms.
Local services (restaurants, grocery) is 20 minutes drive away
Driving up this lodge, I already got a sense of warmth and homeliness. The decor and furniture gives the lodge a very nostalgic vibe which was so inviting. The hosts, Christian and Ian were so lovely and welcoming. I felt as if I had known them for years. The room was very well equipped and catered for all my needs. The setting is like that from a novel. It’s an absolute gem. I can’t wait to return.

The location was beautiful and very charming. The evening meal was exceptional and very relaxing. We saw the resident deer while we ate. The bedrooms were very comfortable.
It was expensive for what it was. The prices for the evening meal aren't on the website up front. When I contacted ahead of our stay to check what the prices were, they weren't given. The set meal was £59 per person but the drink prices were excessive. Two g&ts, 2 glasses of wine plus a bottle of water for the table was about £46. there were a few issues with our room like the TV not working properly and the door to the bathroom not closing.
Excellent staff in Christian and Ian, beautifull decor throughout the lodge, food and service was top notch.
This hotel was a special case you sometimes come across. This is a small family hotel that is just very, very charming. The restaurant has a magnificent view on the loch which enchanted us every time. Both the breakfast and the dinner we had here were just excellent and among the best we had during our 2 week stay in Schotland. The staff is limited to the family who are very friendly, helpfull so it is impossible not feel at home. There was an incredible charming reading room with a fireplace = fabulous for me as an addicted reader
The hotel has passed however it's best days and needs to be renovated and improved. When we booked we had the impression this would be luxurious boutique hotel, which is not the case. But this is more about our wrong perception when we booked. This was stil a very, very lovely stay which we enjoyed very much!
It was a lovely hotel standing in its own grounds by the side of a loch. The staff were exceptionally friendly providing a warm welcome. Dinner was excellent and we retired to a separate whisky lounge to relax and chat after our meal. Breakfast was cooked fresh and was fantastic.
We booked two double rooms. One was was fine, the other a bit smaller, with only one armchair. However since we were only staying for one night it was not a problem. This didn't detract from our enjoyment of this great hotel.
Location, room, food were all ok but …
Expensive and we were accused of causing water to come through from the bathroom to the room below, which had been newly plastered and the bathroom replumbed recently. The shower was difficult to regulate and a small amount of water did splash over the edge while trying to get the water to the right temperature but if that small amount, and there were no puddles anywhere, did find its way through then more sealant and proofing should be installed. The owner became a touch aggressive when I said the installer should have checked and tested this all out when it was done. NOT our fault.
Fantastic place, comfy cosy and unique. Family owned and such a nice place. Food is fantastic and evening meal is a must. Michelin recommend with an awesome view. Location is wonderful, rural with fantastic views but not far to all sorts of places and walks. Has its own little beach on the Loch. Lovely living room for pre dinner drinks... wonderful stay.
Nothing to dislike.
The food!!! The locationAnd of course the very warm welcome
A friendly welcome on arrival. Hotel located across the road from a beautiful loch with a small pebble beach - good for a stroll, otherwise a walk is a few minutes drive away. Charming decoration in bedrooms, very comfortable bed, lovely hot water & good shower. Dinner in the hotel was delicious. We really enjoyed our short stay.
I adore this place. Family run business. They go out of their way to make you feel incredibly welcome. The food is fantastic. Beautiful location next to the Loch and they even lend you fishing rods to try your luck at catching some dinner. Lovely bar to relax in after dinner, living room with a cosy fire to have a drink before dinner and the rooms are really comfortable and clean. I can't wait to visit again!
I love everything about it
Fantastic food, beautiful rooms, friendly staff, lovely view over Loch Lochy. Breakfast ordered the night before and cooked to order, dinner menu offered at breakfast so you could choose whether to eat in that evening and you could look forward to it all day! Our bathroom had an enormous bath
Outside and reception area looked a little tired but rooms were lovely.
The area around the house is beautiful with an amazing little waterfall right in the backyard, the dining room has an amazing view of the loch and green mountains. The main host, Christian, is a true lady and gave us a very warm and homey feeling, staying late to speak with us and tell us fascinating stories about her life and help us plan our days.
Our dinner had to be one of the best meals we have ever eaten. The family that run the hotel are lovely. Knowledgeable, and professional with an obvious love for their home and business. The views from dining room are beautiful. The room although not large was very clean and the bed comfortable.
The decor is a little dated.
