    Pros +

    • The staff were lovely, we felt sorry for them when we raised concerns about the condition of the hotel as the clearly agreed but were not able to express their feelings.
    • Nice bathroom, espresso options were great
    • Room was nice, albeit small

    Cons -

    • The property is tired, it needs a renovation to bring it up to current standards. The floor boards throughout the hotel creaked which woke us several times in the night. Furniture is chipped, scratched and tired. The leather sofa in our suite was stained all over, tables chipped, poor paint work throughout and carpets threadbare throughout the hotel. The photos do not reflect the dilapidated condition of the hotel. We asked if we could move room but were told all the rooms were in a similar condition.it is very dark throughout the hotel, so if your eyesight is poor please be aware.
    • Windows were to the inside of the hotelFloor was very creaky Duvet was massive
    • Breakfast: I didn't expect to have to queue up at a very slow coffee and toast machine in a hotel of this stature. It would be so easy to ask guests whether they want coffee or tea when being seated when entering the breakfast room. This is what I'm used to elsewhere. Breakfast was very slow and we saw lots of mistakes with orders.

    Nice staff

No aircon Restaurant added 12.5% service charge and then had large box on the receipt asking for gratuity - that's a big red flag for me

    Staff good.Breakfast good.Dinner good.

For us, nothing could have been better.

The experience was excellent for the moment we arrived. Very helpful reception staff and offered myself and my partner a drink token as it was our anniversary. Room was very comfortable and clean

    8MariaPosted on: 2-12-2026

Close to the centre. Good basic hotel and comfortable room.

    7NataliePosted on: 2-12-2026

    Friendly staff. Good location

Very dark rooms. Optional extra lights would be good. Finning room also dark- understand for evenings but could be brighter in morning

    Location was ok

Was not told of construction on site before reservation. Struggled with the bed and pillows didn’t suit me Breakfast was not to hot despite it coming directly from kitchen

Very nice accommodation - a little bit quirky! Excellent breakfast and good evening meal in the restaurant.

A bit dark in the restaurant.

I liked the hotel, not to far from city centre.

The hotel is cashless and for this reason I would not stay again, cash should be accepted as payment in the hotel. Not everyone like to pay by card

    9KaiaPosted on: 2-10-2026

Lovely stay and perfect for going to a show at kings theatre.

It wasn’t clear that I needed to pre book parking to get the discount, so make sure you do this.

The location for what we needed was perfect. Its quirky and fun

we were on the Holland park side and got worken up at stupid O’clock by banging and clanging going on outside for about half an hr. Also the bathroom sink was blocked the entire stay.

    7PatriciaPosted on: 2-9-2026

    Interesting interior and architecture.

Sink was blocked. No car parking.

We often stay in Malmaisons and this one was just as good as others we’ve stayed in. The room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The staff were really helpful and the building was interesting and quirky and has a great vibe.

A big negative for us was the location. The parking that was recommended was at the bottom of the steep hill that the hotel is on, this meant that we had a difficult walk up the hill with our suitcases which wasn’t ideal.

    5AndrewPosted on: 2-8-2026

Good location, friendly staff, clean room

Internal issues with their payment system meant I could not pay for both of the rooms I booked for on arrival. Due to this, I was told that we would have to wait till the system was back up and running to take payment before we could access the rooms.Issues with the lift meant I had to carry our luggage down 4 flights of stairs along with other guests.

    8MartinPosted on: 2-4-2026

Room was big enough with a decent bathroom and bed.

A coffee machine would have been nice, the coffee bags aren't very good

    10JoannaPosted on: 2-3-2026

Spacious junior suit. Extremely comfortable bedding. Good shower pressure and towels were lovely. Nice bath robes. Staff were very sweet and attentive.

Room and bathroom lighting is too dark especially to attempt make up application which is problematic, but easily resolved with some additional bathroom mirror lights.

    10SamanthaPosted on: 2-3-2026

Lovely and even a wee dog bed for our dog. Firm bedsbeautiful roomsNice foodGreat made to order breakfast

    Nothing - Perfect!

    Room was very warm.
