Pros +
- The room was large and well decorated. There was a good size kitchen that had everything we needed in it. The bathroom had been newly renovated and the staff was very professional and went out of their way to be helpful!
- In the area I wanted to stay.
- Only The Location and the offer free parking onsite, although that is just limited to 6-10 Spaces, which can get full very quickly, so if you are arriving late to the hotel Expect to park in the Paid Parking Zone of the street
Cons -
- Broken shower tray. Small room. Unexpected parking fee.
- The hotel is listed as a 4-Star, I would personally not even rate it 2 stars, I have based my review and opinion on the below facts:1- There is an extremely tiny Reception which runs for limited hours during a day, a 4 star hotel in 2026 could have a 24/7 Reception2- There is no Lift in the Building, I was given an Attic Room on the 3rd Floor, Traveling from the UAE, I was on a long trip, I had 2 bags each weighing 25kgs, so it was hell for me to carry all my luggage up all those stairs! 3- The Washrooms are horribly Sized, extremely small on top of that the shower has really horrible Water Pressure, so don’t expect a good shower during your stay! my First Room had hot water, but I had changed my room on my 2nd, that room the shower had no heated water, and I checked out without taking a shower! 4- The prices aren’t the most expensive but not the most reasonable for what I got! please don’t just base your decision on the 4 stars awarded to this Hotel and on the reviews! 5- Finally, I don’t lie on my reviews! As I have given 5 stars to the friendliness of the staff, Mr. Neil at the front counter is an extremely kind Man! But the hotel is just not what you would expect looking at the pictures !!

The easy accessibility to the hotel and my room and the kindness and help of the staff
Nothing. All was more and above what I expected.
Clean, central and comfortable. Lovely breakfast. Helpful staff.
The shower pressure was on the low side.
Great location, very clean and good welcoming staff.
It was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent value for money.
The omly downside was no.lift but climbing stairs is good for you im told. It extends your life ecpectancy
Cosy, warm, comfortable room with a big bed giving rise to restful nights sleep. Nice, helpful staff offering efficient service. Good location with just enough parking and a few key shops nearby. Nice breakfast along with easily accessed room the hotel is near to all the best things to see and do in Glasgow. for eample just round the corner is the botanical garden and near to the Clockwork Orange.
Two niggles. firstly, the bed was hell to get round (making an unusual challenge) and secondly, the bathroom, whilst clean, was poorly designed. A freezing floor, tiny sink and water taking ages to heat up were notable features.
Third time here..simply a great great place to stay. Staff, location, brekky, room. Cant fault it..it wirks fir me! Thanks
Nothing at all
Great place peaceful and spacious, very clean.
Clean, warm and has everything you need. Great location, quiet area but only a short walk from Byres Rd
Location is great - just on the doorstep of the Glasgow Botanic Gardens, 10 mins walk to the subway station and the tourist hop on-off bus. The room was actually bigger than I expected. Super clean and it had everything I needed. Price was very good! The information book was a great idea and was very helpful - such thoughtful gesture! The shower was a bit cold first, but I managed to adjust it later. Radiator worked perfectly, it was warm and cosy. Bed was comfortable.
I found that pillows were too firm, and a single blanket felt a bit too small.
Nothing really.Horrible experience. Felt scammed. My first visit to Glasgow and won't be staying here or the sister establishment,Embassy Hotels/Apartments,EVER again.
During booking there was a tech error/unsuccessful booking via booking.com (or so I thought).I tried it again and was successful the 2nd time.It was for a night with my 85 year old mum to attend a graduation in Glasgow. Before arrival the Manager in a call said both bookings apparently went through.I explained we only needed one and explained the circumstances.I was assured payment would only be taken for one booking and not the other. However I ended up being charged twice: £124 for the reservation we used, £71 for the other one that we didnt need or use, despite making this clear prior to arrival.Manager said it was a booking.com issue. I made 3 calls to booking.com on my return.Booking.com seemed willing to help with the refund and SENT a refund code to the hotel, but they denied receiving refund code. The hotel also refused to communicate in writing to booking.com to facilitate the refund of the double payment.I was played like a football between booking.com and the hotel. The hotel marked me as a 'no-show' despite my mum and I turning up and staying on the more expensive reservation. It has been a shocking experience and I would NEVER EVER use nor recommend these establishments in the future.
Comfortable, clean ,warm and free parking
Friendly staff and clean accommodation. We stayed for our son's graduation and the hotel is really well located for the university and local cafes and bars.Free car parking was a real bonus
Love the location, nearby cafes. Place is super clean and big room..Staff are exceptional friendly and free carpark as well. Love this...value for money as well. Definitely will come back if I am back to Glasgow.
Location value for money
Lack of lifts and no help for heavy bags
Very clean and quiet. The staff member was incredibly friendly and kind. My second time staying here and I’ll be back again for sure.
Nothing!
Great location, friendly staff and great breakfast. Room was comfortable as well. Free Car parking at rear
