    Pros +

    • The service was warm and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. Perfect distance from the University.
    • Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Excellent location!
    • Location! We were close to the conference venue at the University, the restaurants and pubs were nearby with lots of choices.

    Cons -

    • Stairs¿ but it¿s manageable
    • 53 steps before you even reach the reception area!!! People should be warned. One shower I had was icy cold. After telling staff that our missing suitcase would be delivered, they rejected it since they couldn't find person's name. Info not shared!
    • The shower was cramped and small. The waste water pump system was LOUD! The hose for the shower head was covered with some kind of slimy dirty stuff.

Conviently placed in a nice part of Glasgow

We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and lots of useful advice about the local area - thank you!A very convenient location for walking to visit the Kelvingrove Museum & Art Gallery and there is a direct bus route into the City centre.

Nothing to report - everything was fine

Good location for where we needed to be. Staff friendly and helpful places to eat and have a quiet beer and bus information

Sink and toilet sounded like an elephant trumpeting after use, bed quilt too short. Didn't reach neck even with a tug or two..

Well, the room was really lovely and spacious. Location was great, close to OVO Hydro, which was our main interest.

    The lack of hump pillows.

Nice big room altho downstairs. Lovely breakfast. Good location for Hydro and bus service into city centre

There was a smell from shower and when flushing loo it made a loud noise which wasn’t handy thru the night

    8CherilynPosted on: 2-7-2026

It was clean, the staff were very friendly and accomodating.

Tried to go for a shower during the night and had no hot water, didn't have any hot water at the tap either.

Nice, clean and comfortable and glad we had the banter with Joe again!

    Nothing to really type here?

    8AoifePosted on: 2-2-2026

The receptionist Joe was very helpful and friendly. Great location for the concert at the OVO Hydro. I enjoyed the breakfast.

The shower dial was tricky to turn.

Great communication from the hotel from the moment we booked, and a warm welcome from the receptionist when we arrived and a very quick check in. The hotel is in a perfect location for getting into the centre of Glasgow with a bus stop almost directly outside the front door. We were in the basement with windows that looked up towards the street , but the room was a good size and a very comfy bed. Slept really well and could not hear any noise from outside . It was great value for money for an overnight stay in Glasgow.

Only downsize was the bathroom. The door was in a very odd position, right by the side of the bed which meant if you slept on the right hand side you did not have a side unit. The bathroom was very small and the corner shower unit was tiny , if you turned around it was very easy to knock the temperature handle of the shower . However it was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. Be aware ( I guess because it is in the basement) it has a maserator toilet so it does make a lot of noise for a few seconds when you flush it .

Excellent location in West End, close to great independent cafes, restaurants and shops. Great public transport links close by to city centre. Short walk to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and yards from the park. Room was spotlessly clean. Great, warm welcome from Joe on reception.

The room felt a little chilly even with radiator on.

The location was brilliant. Travelling on my own, I was made to feel really welcome. I got an upgrade on my room which was fabulous. Plenty tea and a very comfy sleep. Ryan the Duty Manager was wonderful. I'd had a rubbish morning but felt much better when I got to Glasgow and checked in.

That I couldn't stay longer.... Ha ha

Location of the hotel. Walking distance to the center of town access to shops restaurants etc

    The shower was too small

    9AndreaPosted on: 1-28-2026

Location was amazing. Cool eating spots nearby, cool district, and staff was so gentle. Good price

The bathroom tubes were a little bit noisy, mostly if somebody go to the bathroom during the night. Overall it’s was not a big deal! :)

    9CherylPosted on: 1-26-2026

The manager was super friendly and the beds were very comfy.

When i walked into the bathroom the door hit off the shower and bounced back .

    7ClydePosted on: 1-26-2026

We arrived at 0830 and wanted to just drop our bags off. Joe (on reception) offered us a spare room so we could have an hours lie in the bed as we left home at 0330. Very nice of him and he made us feel very welcome. The area is really nice part of Glasgow. Beds were very comfy.

Location. Proximity to gallery and museum. Transport from City centre very good but walkable too. Breakfast freshly made, very good. Excellent customer attention and service Comfortable beds, quiet, clean. Good price.

Room compact but fine for 1 night stay

    9RobbiePosted on: 1-22-2026

Everything was very good, we only stayed one night because we were going to a gig at the hydro. The front desk staff were great and very accommodating. They also gave us a large room because they knew we were coming with a baby.

The only downside I have is that the plumbing in the room we were in made some horrendous noises when the shower was on ir toilet flushed which wasnt ideal with a sleeping 3 month old but it wasnt the end of the world. We plan to come back here to stay when were at gigs again especially at the hydro as its 15 minute walking distance
