    Pros +

    • Friendliness of staff/ location
    • Champagne vending machine in the lobby
    • A fantastic experience in every respect.Lovely suiteProfessional, friendly staffExcellent locationWe shall be back

    Cons -

    • Size of bathroom
    • Considering the money paid expected something special. The shower had broken tap. When arrived the bathroom floor was wet. The coffee facilities poor with no milk or substitutes and difficult to fill as fixed in a dark cupboard.Room was not soundproof as described as could hear people in hallway. Could see mould in the windows within middle of glass. Temperature controls difficult to control with no guides. Table had dust at the bottom, probably too dark for cleaning staff to properly check. Lack of space for clothes for storage. Never used mini bar but poor selection. Again I am basing this on price places as expected luxury all round. Sadly not somewhere I will choose to stay again.
    • I thought the room was small the pictures of the room where deceiving some of the handles on the bath where lose and taps on the sink too

Location is great. Rooms are great, have stayed in both the presidential suite and the cabin room. Different vibes in them but both are great.

Really cool hotel, the rooftop bar was lovely. Milk and cookies in bed was a great touch. Staff were great and very helpful

Beds and rooms are tiny. Also very very dark - wasnt good for doing make up and getting ready for dinner out etc. Very expensive for the size of the room.

Very nice hotel different to everywhere you will ever go.

The cabin rooms far to hot and the air con was not working to cool the rooms down we ended up having to leave out room door open and this is the middle of winter !

    Beautiful decor, very tasteful throughout

It was very dark. Our cabin room was quite small. The bed was against the wall, which wasn’t ideal as I had to climb over my husband to get out of bed. The tv system was a bit of a palaver. Didn’t like the attitude of the waitress in the secret garden. But a beautiful hotel & the reception staff were very friendly & helpful

    It’s a quirky hotel

The rooms are tiny, incredibly cramped and very little comforts. The bed is incredibly small. The room was not the cleanest, windows were absolutely disgusting and the floor was filthy, a spilled drink meantI had to wipe the floor, the tissue was absolutely disgusting with dirt.

The shower was nice and powerful. The room was dark and quiet. The Sacred Garden was lovely as was the young red headed lady that was serving.

No tea/coffee facilities in room. Cabin room is grubby and cramped. Wobbly stools in bar. All the decadent decorations trying to disguise the short comings of the building.

    8DavidPosted on: 12-18-2025

Location was excellent for the Merchant City and the staff great.the cabin room wouldn't be good if you were claustrophobic but comfortable.I will return - perhaps to a bigger room!

    Cabin size!

    5SarahPosted on: 12-17-2025

    Great location, pretty room.

No tea facilities in the room- had to negotiate with staff over WhatsApp for a cup of tea . Tv relies on chrome cast or logging into your own streaming services.Pillows lumpy. Mini bar not switched on. Staff disengaged.Cold room-air con took a while to warm the room up.

One of my favourite hotel experiences to date, hotel staff were all lovely, warm and welcoming. The hotel itself is stunning, the decor is gorgeous and the room was the perfect size just for me! Very clean, quiet in the room despite central location. Would love to stay again!

    Nothing :)

“I recently stayed at the house of gad for my birthday with my girlfriend, and we were extremely impressed with every part of our visit. The service, rooms, and overall experience were outstanding. Highly recommended.

    10ChristopherPosted on: 12-8-2025

The House of Gods Glasgow really did live up to all the social media hype, the interior felt opulent making for an amazing atmosphere and the staff couldn't have been anymore helpful. The experience and the surroundings are way beyond any high end chain branded hotels, we both couldn't recommend it more for a romantic night away.

Genuinely nothing, everything was amazing and more than worth the cost.

    8StevenPosted on: 12-2-2025

We loved the decor, the comfort of the room, everything was brilliant

The only thing we didn’t like was the fact that we were told to give up our table after a short period of time in the cocktail lounge & the rooftop bar, it didn’t suit us for the money we payed.

    9KevinPosted on: 12-2-2025

Loved the decor & Lighting, great location, reception staff super friendly. Down stairs bar staff really nice and welcoming/ accommodating. Couldn’t ask for anything more

    5NikkiPosted on: 12-1-2025

decor and staff friendliness were great!

communication was almost too excessive for my 1 night stay. It's located next to a homeless shelter. the outdoors smelled like urine and, unfortunately, it didn't feel quite safe. The sheets were not totally clean in the room and the room itself was a shoebox size. It wasn't clear to me upon booking it would be so small.
