To be very honest, aside location, there wan't anything I liked. I'm so disappointed. I came back smelling like a ashtray.

We stayed in Room 19. I'm being specific so as to validate my response. Its the worst hotel I have every stayed in my entire life. The room reeked of Cigarette smells and smells of wee. We couldn't even open the windows. The beds were about to crack I mean this is 2023 and its a hotel in UK not a 3rd World nation. Any cleaner can spot the issues I mentioned. Its such a shame, as the location is great. And well connected.

    The overall state was terrible

No TV no phone, bathroom is too small room is too small and beds are too close together. We never recommend a place or stay there ever again and it’s too damn expensive for what you get.

Staff was nice and location was good. TV worked very well and so did Wi-Fi

Believed I got bed bugs, room was a bit dirty and run down. Inner Door to bedroom couldn’t close due to bed been too big.

Friendly reception, good location and affordable

Everything was okay for the price apart from we couldn’t shower as it was constantly going hot and cold.

    1JohnPosted on: 9-5-2023

Only thing to like was the location.

Hotel was dirty, uncomfortable beds, shower cubicle too dirty to use.

    9PaulinePosted on: 9-4-2023

The hotel was conveniently placed for Sec Armadillo and had an eclectic array of pubs and restaurants surrounding it. We were pleasantly surprised to arrive on a Saturday morning to be informed that parking was free. We have previously stayed here and walked into the city so it is accessible for city life too.. Kelvinggrove Park and galleries are also just a few minutes' walk away. My partner ate breakfast in the hotel, and it was fine whilst I opted to eat at one of the cafés a choice for everyone.

The bed was against the wall, so felt a bit cramped, but the room was adequate .

Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Dated hotel. Way overpriced for the accomodations. They gouged us because of the Int'l festival in Edinbough was booked out so Glasgow hotel rooms were in demand. I don't mind paying a big extra but they charged over $400 US for 5 people for old dated rooms and no breakfast!

    3ColinPosted on: 8-31-2023

They had a family room for 5The bed sheets appeared to be clean.

Dirty room, carpet, walls, windows. No socket for kettle. Only socket near kettle was 6ft off the floor which meant kettle would be dangling from wall. So had to plug into socket in corner of room on floor.Cycling was on in Glasgow so there were no alternatives available.

    Stay away, pay similar amount...

Serious health and safety issue. Washed towels spread on dining tables overnight for drying (the same tables were used for breakfast and dinners), damp, smell, dirty floors, dirty toilet (including can of chick peas) in the toilet, stains on bedsheets. Had to run away of the hotel first thing in the morning without even taking a shower due to hygiene fears.

    1JasminePosted on: 8-27-2023

    The location of the hotel

The room wasnt clean, curtains were hanging off the rails and all stained, the bed sheets were very dirty, the toilet door looked like it had mould on it. Again very dirty. Stairs leading up to the room were covered in stains and dirty. When we went to check out the staff were standing arguing with other guests who had complaints. The bathroom mirror light didnt work, tv didnt work at first, no sound then automatically started working. The window didnt shut. So was open all night, couldn't close the curtains because half of it was hanging off. Definitely not worth the money either. The room was absolutely tiny too
