Pros +
- Cheap, well connected, nice area
- Clean and friendly staff
- Bad
Cons -
- Mattress was very old and could feel the springs in my back
- Not much, would be good if we had a fob entry system as rining a bell at 3am feels naughty
- This was more like a homeless shelter than a hostel. And they had the cheek to ask for deposit. Dirty. Stinking rooms. Shouldnt of even been free

Bad
This was more like a homeless shelter than a hostel. And they had the cheek to ask for deposit. Dirty. Stinking rooms. Shouldnt of even been free
The location was great, the heating was good, the room was spatious. The restaurant is adjacent to the hostel. Many restaurants around the hostel, meanwhile the room was quiet enough to sleep well.P.S: I got a bed in 3-bed dorm, althought my booking was for 16-bed dorm (probably because of the low demand in that period)
There could be lockers installed in each room to leave more valuable belongings there (storage service was for an extra payment). There were not reading lamps and shelves; electric sockets were a little far from the bed.No hygiene amenities included in the price (dental kit, sleeping ear plugs, or shower gel).
Very convenient location
The room was slightly dirty and the windows did not shut, we tried to warm the room up but putting the heater on but it was stuck on a timer setting. The rules were also a bit silly, I understand the no alcohol but no food or drink in the rooms seems a bit too far
Great for train and bus. This is a budget hostel in the centre of Bristol. Basic but comfortable.
More pictures to break up white walls. Only one pillow.
Good location, not far from centre but also quiet
There wasnt any electric socket near my bed
Excellent location, just a short walk from Temple Meads. Staff were very friendly. Room was clean and bed was comfy.
Decent location
Staff seemed a bit assy, 2 showers and 2 toilets per floor, 1 shower was out of order also
Location
The reception reserve the right to change your booking on arrival. We booked beds in large dorm but it was changed to small cramped on arrival
So bad that even when...
Was refused entry despite having pre-booked and paid. Govt issued id was required and I didn't have it. It was in the small print of the terms and conditions but as so unusual I hadn't checked. Staff member was unfriendly and said management was unavailable. 10.30 on a wet night, a single middle aged woman, and despite my pleading he wouldn't shift his position. I managed to wake family at home and get photo of id sent. Discovered smelly toilets and questionable item in the bed. Left immediately and spent fortune on hotel elsewhere. No response to complaints.
The staff were nice
The toilets and the hands were separated into two different rooms. There were no hand towels
Didn't get in or stay the night luckily a beautiful lady helped me and I stayed at her place
Couldn't find it didn't stay got a refund of £2 out of 24
Given that THEFT BY STAFF (see below) is taking place at this location, it makes no sense to add anything here. And the only positive thing would be the hostel location, but all the hostels are located in this area. So there is nothing good to say about this accommodation
THEFT BY STAFF AT THIS HOSTEL. DO NOT BOOK!! They will ask for a deposit *in cash* when you check in (avoiding credit card so you cant contest them - they charge a fee if you want to leave it via credit card). They use any excuse they can find to steal your deposit. I checked out at 10:20 a.m. and they said it was a late check out and refused to return the deposit. The ability to discuss the matter with them is limited as the receptionists at the hostel speak very little English. if you book this hostel anyways, I suggest you do not give them the key back until they agree to return your complete deposit. It is your only leverage. BUT EVEN BETTER: DO NOT BOOK!
Location and car park near by
Guy in the reception when checking in was a bit rude
Great location. Beautiful building. As expected
Staff were unfriendly bordering on rude. The beds were very poor quality. The bathrooms were very unclean and in poor condition; toilet stall doors didnt close properly and there were very unpleasent smells.
The location was ideal for my purposes
It was extremely basic and the bed was very uncomfortable. There were so many rules and extra charges (£3 to borrow a hairdryer!!) that made it a bit of a miserable stay
Convenient location.
Very cold. Cold air from the window.
Always a pleasure staying here. Everything is always clean and tidy and the staff are always very nice and welcoming.
Location is good, very central. Price was cheap, though you get what you pay for.
Whilst the hotel was the cheapest option in the centre of Bristol, you really did get what you paid for - it was incredibly barebones, cold, and noisy due to a combination of location and drafty windows. The reception staff were rude, the facilities and comfort were poor, and there is a cash deposit required per person staying, which wasn't mentioned anywhere in the booking.com listing. I wish I had paid the difference to stay elsewhere and would not stay here again/
