Hotel Charly

Loved the quirkiness of it, friendly helpful staff. V close to the the main station and metro, got an amazing sleep. Can’t comment on breakfast coz it was only an overnight stay and had to be away by 4.30am to get to Bergamo Airport. The hotel also has a lovely back garden and seating area which would be fab in summer (we stayed mid Feb)

Excellent location close to Central rail station. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful.

Bed was extremely comfortable, breakfast was excellent, location a pleasant walk to centre of Milan, very conveniently located near station and pretty garden. Impeccably clean. Can’t fault it.

Very clean, small cute room. Bathroom also very clean and functional. A few minutes walking distance from milano centrale and two metro stations. We didn't try breakfast. The neighborhood didn't feel as the best place to be late in the evening, but the good thing is that the hotel is near high traffic roads, that even at night have circulation.

This was an excellent hotel. The staff was welcoming and found a location for us to park. In addition, they helped us with directions and places for dining. Plus, the cutest dog alerted the staff on our arrival. Our room was perfect with a balcony where we ate lunch. Breakfast was delicious and terrific coffee.

Warm and cozy place. Very kind and hospitality staff. Located 7 minutes walk from the central station and yet quick access to city centre. Beautiful garden to have breakfast in. Highly recommend

We needed a hotel close to Milano Centrale, and Hotel Charly was about a 5-10 minute walk from the station. Even though it was close, we felt like we could peacefully enjoy our last night in Milan. There is a nice courtyard in the back, and it was nice to sit outside in the evening. The staff were super helpful providing guidance on taking the Metro.

The bed was very comfortable and big. The furnishings in the room were really nice - conveyed a peaceful vibe. The shower was small but efficient. There was a safe provided. The balcony was a real treat as it looked over a small garden, little oasis in the city. The receptionist was helpful and helped us with our bags as no lift available. We stayed for one night on our return journey and did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that.

Location is a little scary and despite what is in the Booking.com description there is no parking. Instead we were sent to a private parking which tried to overcharge us

Hotel Charly is a short walk from Milano Centrale and there is the Lima metro stop a short walk to take you to the Duomo. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated and breakfast was great. We arrived in the morning and were able to leave our luggage at reception until check in. The rooms are quite small but were fine for an overnight stay. There is a luggage lift for rooms on upper floors.

No clear signs or information how to actually get into the hotel, after walking back and forth for a while we figured it out...The tourist tax fee, felt that was a rip off, having to hold on to our passports to verify our information, told to come back in 10 minutes to get them back...of course we stayed and waited wouldnt leave our passports with a stranger...room was pretty cold until the evening, then got cold again...lots of unsavory people around the area, not recommended to go out in the evening by staff...i wouldn't recommend either...breakfast not worth 20 euros...should have been included

Not in very safe area, people tried to scam us on street. However closer to central station.

Very nice, small hotel with well equipped and clean rooms, very good breakfast, beautiful garden, kind personnel - we liked it a lot :)

We had a warm, easy, personal welcome. And enjoyed that it was run by the owners.

The room was very comfortable, the breakfast was lovely.
