Hotel Canada

The front desk and breakfast staff at the Hotel Canada were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was solid and the rooms, while small (but not untypical for Europe) were clean and appeared newly renovated. The location was great.

Showers were small, but again, not untypical for Europe.

Good location, within walking distance of most attractions, and with good connections to Linate Airport. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and fresh.

The walls are somewhat thin, and I could clearly hear people passing in the corridor, noise from neighboring rooms, as well as traffic from the street.

Terrible customer service, air conditioning broken in the whole building. Only one elevator working, handicapped family member wasn’t able to eat breakfast with the group for the whole stay. No empathy from the staff they didn’t care at all. Asked for a a partial refund for the inconvenience staff stated “it’s not my fault the AC isn’t working”. $550 a night for terrible service, hot rooms and basic breakfast

Location is good, close to metro, walking distance to duomo and many restaurants and supermarket. The staff was very nice. The price is cheaper comparing to other hotels in the center.

The shower needs a lot of work. The stream is way too strong, it had faulty shower head, in general it needs to be replaced. Some electric sockets didn't work, and in one room few lights didn't work. The room itself was okay, but these small things were annoying. The breakfast is also very basic and it takes time for them to refill things. Last thing to notice is the noise from the street can be a lot at times as it is facing the road and many ambulances pass by in the area.

We really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. I think the variety was great. We had lots of options for bread, yogurt, hot and cold dishes. Our wait staff was super helpful and always kept us caffinated or reccommended things to do around the city. Our room was very spacious and our party of three was super comfortable.

We are a little further away from city center than I expected. About 15 min away from the Duomo. But the walk was very comfortable and the neighborhood felt safe. It was particularly helpful to have a grocery store right next door.

Staff, both reception and breakfast areas, is welcoming and supportive, when asked to changed the towel they did it right away. Breakfast is also decent and coffee is good. Hotel is very well located if you are keen to explore the center of the city.

The only thing that was not as expected was the parking. Hotel DOES NOT have the parking of its own, they can only give you a discount in the parking nearby (public or private, not sure). I ended up paying 20 EUR, and the car was parked from late evening till before midday next day.

Located a 15 minute walk from the Galleria and Duomo and a 25 minute taxi to the Navigli District, the location is good. There is a bank ATM two doors down and an Express Mercado one block away for water, sundries and food items. The breakfast was extremely varied and quite good! Rooms were clean, a/c worked great, wifi reliable and shower water hot!

Upon check-in, we were informed that despite having our booking confirmed for seven full months in advance with twin beds, they were no longer available due to hotel renovations, and they were going to have to put us in a queen bed. This is totally unacceptable! The renovations didn't come out of nowhere and they knew all along they were going do this and didn't give us a chance to look for accommodations elsewhere. They said they were upgrading us to the penthouse level, but that didn't really get us any advantage. No view, and the room looked the same as what we had booked previously, just the wrong type of bed. Very disappointed! And getting off the elevator and having five steps is very inconvenient with heavy luggage! Also, they did not explain how the lights work. Maybe this is a European thing, but we had no idea we had to use our room key to turn them on. Lastly, be aware there is a hospital very nearby. We heard sirens several times during the night, which woke us up.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and spacious. The location was perfect, walking distance to many tourist attractions, restaurants and shops.

One elevator was not working.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this hotel. It’s spotless and the staff is simply wonderful. We had an issue with our AC and the staff moved us to an independent apartment. They took ownership of the issue right away. The The rooms are spotless and the beds are so comfortable. When we come back to Milan we would definitely stay here again. The hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk to the duomo. Delicious breakfast with a wide variety and delicious cappuccinos.

The rooms needs new decoration. It seems to old. The bathroom is perfect.

The Hotel is very clean, staff is helpful and location was very nice, as it was located 15 minutes walk to Duomo square, but still very quiet street. Rooms were clean bright.

The breakfast was not for the value of hotel, didn’t have variety of dishes and for the three nights of stay, the menu didn’t change.
