Pros +
- Very communicative and helpful on email. Pretty entrance and some staff were very helpful
- Location near shops and restaurants
- Convenient location: there's a Metro station a block away, and to get here from the central train station you can take the #9 tram. There's also a good restuarant, the Cedric Bistrot, two doors down from the hotel. The night desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. My single room was clean and comfortable. There was an anti-mosquito device near the bed and on the other side of the room I found several mosquitoes. I killed them all and slept soundly.
Cons -
- Very noisy in the night - request a room not by reception. Rooms were very basic and nothing special
- Walls super thin and shower temp inconsistent
- The shower had a comically small door opening & very dangerous odd step ups into the room and up into the bathroom.

Location was close to restaurants, bars & gelato open until midnight, less than 10minute Uber to Linate airport, and only a 20min walk to El Duomo Milan! Simple, utilitarian, very safe & secure building. Very hot water & foam mattress which was my best sleep of our trip which included 4 star expensive hotels in Malta. 2/3 of my booking.com stays were misleading. Hotel Atena Milan was exactly as I expected without the negatives of some of the other reviews. Yes, very old building that has converted a large apartment or multiple apartments into a “hotel” on the second floor. This does mean the hallway echos and you probably could hear a lot from adjacent rooms if you stayed longer. We arrived late and the staff accommodated our 10pm / 22:00 arrival and we walked the streets until 1:00 then left at 6:30am to watch sunrise over El Duomo then returned for our bags and left for Linate airport by 8:30. For our needs the hotel was ideal. I would have liked a full day and another night here.

The Hotel is very well located. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Room was organized, clean and in good conditions. I recommend it!
The hotel is in an excellent location. The bed is very comfortable. Hygiene is excellent. All compliments for the price-quality ratio.
A very small remark is that the coffee machine works only from 8 to 10 in the morning. Also, there is an extra charge for check-in during the night – after all, this is a hotel.
Personal were good, especialy the morning stuff.
Room was not clean, also the room was to small and not comfortable.
Close to Cathedral & shopping area, coffee shop, grocery & laundry mat. Room with. Balcony was bonus.
No coffee machine, fridge, hard pillows & too close to rail line for noise.
The staff was very friendly. We asked for an iron and they gave it to us, asked if we could leave our things at the reception before the flight and they allowed us to do so. The location and surrounding was great, the receptionist also recommended a good place for dinner. It was very clean and quiet in the room.
Nice, friendly staff.
Basically the blanket was scratchy and a tiny shower that you’d need a running start to get into.
Location in beautiful neighborhood and room was clean.
We were in the room across from reception and you could hear all conversations at the desk and people coming in and out.
Clean, friendly and well situated
Breakfast a little limited (no bread, or butter)
Clean and very friendly and helpful staff
Room very small
The hotel is located within an apartment building. It is very central and well located. The beds were a bit uncomfortable and the room old, but still a decent place to stay. The people working at the hotel were great, very helpful and friendly.
A budget-friendly hotel..
The bed is not really a bed but a repurposed bunk bed, and there isn’t even a DUVET. This is the first time we’ve encountered a hotel without a DUVET. Instead, they provide a BLANKET. There is a very loud group in the corridor, and it feels like they are talking inside the room. The sound insulation is unbelievably bad
Friendly staff and nice location of the hotel, close to train/metro in a good neighborhood
There was so much noise. The walls are VERY thin and it was like the sounds from the corridor were louder inside of the room.
The location and the building itself. Not central as mentioned but in the outer peripheral of the duomo. More of a hostel than hotel
They have intentionally dialled the hot water down. The pressure of cold water was amazing and then min you turned the hot water on it was would literally drip. In winter that is really pathetic act to save money
excellent location, only 20 minutes walking to the Dome, nice cafes around also a Carrefour express close by, you will have all you need. The access is easy, the building is beautiful, we were quite charmed with the interior garden. Both ladies we’ve met at the reception during our stay were really nice and helpful with everything we needed.
The room is relatively small, but decent, but it has this weird layout with the steps coming in the room and steps going into the bathroom, not a big deal but something that people with mobility issues need to consider. The shower was the second smallest I have seen in this world :)) I was with my sister and we are only 1.58 m tall, I cannot imagine how someone taller can wash inside that shower without hitting their elbows all the time or bending over. The pressure of the water was almost non existent, drops really for warm water, you could never wash your hair there, but with patience we managed to wash ourselves and the temperature was good. The blanket was ridiculous, though, my biggest dislike, looked like a Romanian hospital in 1990 and very thin, over a regular sheet, not inside it! And the second blanket I found in the cupboard because it was needed during the night was also nothing I would imagine in the standards of a hotel, even if two stars.
My husband and I stayed for two nights and were very pleased. The room was clean, cleaned daily, the location of the hotel is just great, the staff is very friendly. The only negative is that the description says breakfast at the hotel, which also influenced our choice. But it turned out that the hotel no longer provides this service. Just remove it from the description and the list of amenities, please. Otherwise, we were pleased and recommend the hotel.
A nice plce in an ancient building near to city center and monuments. The location is great just 2 stations wlaway from Duomo and the station is 8mn away. There is a lot of nice cafe and restaurants around. The receptionnists are all very very nice. The place is safe. The price is convenient
Didn’t that it is a one floor hitel at a building before arriving and I took time to get to it.Didn’t have boiler in the room but we used the one in the Kitchen. Beds are not very comfortable but Ok, and the room eas not very warm.
