Hotel Tocq

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel and definitely would not recommend it. The rooms are extremely noisy, with loud music every night from a nearby disco and constant sounds from outside and neighboring rooms. For a 4-star hotel, the staff were shockingly rude and unprofessional, and customer service was very weak. Room service was slow and of poor quality.The location was also not good at all, which made the stay even worse. Cleanliness was acceptable, but the noise issues made it impossible to relax or rest properly.The only positive part of my experience was a receptionist named Tiziana — she was very nice, caring, and genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff were the opposite. I even had an issue with breakfast: at check-in they told me my offer included breakfast, but after I ate they insisted it wasn’t included and tried to charge me for it. This kind of treatment is unacceptable.Overall, this hotel does not live up to its 4-star rating and I would not recommend staying here.

Passable

I had heard that this area is a party area, but I never expected to hear loud techno music all night in my room. The vibrations and music were so strong that I couldn’t sleep at all—and this was on a Thursday night. I would not recommend this hotel for families or for anyone traveling for work.

Location

Small room no parking too noisy and over priced

The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable which is always a plus. The breakfast was enjoyable. I was only there for one night so it was great for what I needed. A robe and slippers were provided for my use which was a lovely surprise.

Location and cleanliness were excellent and the staff were very nice.Modern and comfortable. Near the metro and some very nice bars restaurants and shops.Sights are walkable.

Rooms were set at a rather high temperature and we couldn't really open the windows because we were on the nightclub side.Wasn't too much disturbance until everyone came out and you could hear lots of talking and shouting. about 5 but was comfortable and it was nice and dark so went back to sleep.Also I couldn't get the coffee machine to work. I did report it at reception but it still wouldn't go so I gave up.There is many nice coffee bars very close by.

The room is nice.

In winter ACs just do not work and the room is very hot unless you open a window which is obviously suboptimal. Only one garbage can in a room, for some reason. WiFi is spotty.

Location good for restaurants and shopping. Half hour walk to Duomo. Good selection of restaurants around. Good breakfast.

Noise outside hotel. Nightclub is in immediate vicinity. Impossible to sleep, even with earplugs. Temp of room was also too hot. Stuck between choice of excessive heat in room or window open and excessive noise that went on all night to 5am.

air con in the room didnt work and was stuck on 26c....had to open the window which was just above some sort of nightclub so very noisy at 3-4am

The location is great, great breakfast, good size room. The staff was attentive and it was clean

The only issue was (not the hotel’s fault) that there are a lot of night clubs around the hotel, so it’s a bit noisy.

Good Location

The Hotel is next to several Night Clubs, despite the windows closed you can still hear the partying Teenagers outside. One club is also open on Sunday so we slept very bad and woke up Constantly. We were wearing already air plugs and head phones. The room has almost no storage for clothes, you have to keep them in your suitcase, also no water nothing provided. At breakfast the food was almost every day empty when we arrived at 09:30, on Saturday there were no cups available or glasses for over an hour ans the buffet was empty again. Coffee was also not available at the machine. The stuff couldn’t even provide us CUTLERY. It was a disaster! We asked and despite promising us that nothing came. When there was food the options are very limited at the buffet, if you have any food restrictions avoid at all costs. Also one older waiter who seemed to be a leader was being very rude to the young staff in front of all the guests, it was very uncomfortable. We were very disappointed for the price of the night. The hotel has definitely potential that is not used. It felt like we were staying in a youth hostel, also you can hear all movements from your neighbors.

Close to metro and main train station and the airport train line station, quiet, close to restaurants

Lack of hangers and storage draws and coat hooks

Great location - 2 stops on the metro from Centrale - walking distance to great shopping, food and sites (Vertical Forest). The staff were lovely and let us check in upon arrival at 11am and they stored our stuff on our last day. Beds were comfy and the room was spacious.

There was notable noise from both outside and the hallway. No free water in the room but offered some in the lobby/reception.

The location is amazing: walking distance to main attractions (La Scala, Il Duomo,etc). It is surrounded by local restaurants and boutiques. Very near the finance district. Breakfast buffet was very good. Lots of food choices, drinks and fresh food.Some of the reviews mentions the noise, I got a quiet room and was able to sleep all through the night.

Clean, happy, helpful and best is bfast box for me as customer which need to take medication and not able having bfast as have you leave early morning

Breakfast was very good.Staff friendly and a good location close to Garibaldi station.

Great spot, local restaurants close by, breakfast lovely. Guy on reception sorted a room query straight away no problem
