Hotel Santa Marta Suites

The location is excellent and the hotel is cute in an old fashion way.

Breakfast was chaotic. After 1h waiting for our food we decided to leave without eating. Rooms are missing basic accommodations: no water cups or tissues in bathroom, hot water doesn¿t work well, no pen provided to fill in the breakfast menu¿

Super awesome, upgraded to a huge suite for only 50 euros. Very welcoming and the rooftop deck was amazing with the view of the skyline and Duomo. They were extremely helpful guiding us around the city and making recommendations for shopping and food.

Fantastic location, great old style city hotel. Exactly what we were looking for a night in the centre of Milan.

Comfortable, convenient, 24hr service, with elevator, in a beautiful old building in a great location - short walk to Duomo, Galleria, Palazzo Reale, La Scala, cafes, restaurants, etc.

Everything! It was the perfect manifestation of warm hospitality and everything I require when I’m working - good food, quiet, coffee in the room, and a very strong WiFi for video meetings. I’ll be back, guaranteed.

I had a regular room, so my window did not have a view. However the ‘pro’ to that was that I could open it on to the small courtyard and receive fresh air. The suites look out onto the quaint little street of Via Santa Marta. But it was just me, so the smaller room was all I needed.

Our visit was greatly enhanced by the kind attention given to us by Peymon. He did everything he could to help us enjoy our visit.

One cannot control the temperature in one’s room. If someone requests heat then all rooms get heat. Consequently, we had a very hard time sleeping because it was so hot in our room and we couldn’t do anything about it.

It was very bad and I want to cancel the reservation although it was free cancelation they didnt accept even with panelt

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. The room was spacious and well appointed. Glorious bathroom. The rooftop terrace was a nice treat. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend.

Very conveniently located

Room had only one window opening on a light well. Being situated on first second floor daylight was very sparse.On three out of five days, continuous boomer music came through walls and fire place, lasting about five hours. Reception staff acknowledged the inconvenience, was not sure of the source and could not remedy the situation.

The staff is super friendly !

There is no buffet as breakfast, it's a la carte. But the breakfast was still good though !

Great stay, we are here for the second time and definitely return again. The place is clean, the rooms are big, the parking is 2 minutes walk, the hotel has an historic vibe. 10 minutes walk to duomo.

Could use a heating in the shower and and more hangers or a stool for the clothes.

Great location, very clean and nice staff

The reception staff were the best. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful inside and we had Suite number 2 room which was extremely spacious and the bathroom was very modern and had all the amenities you could want! It was my dad’s birthday and the hotel gave us a small bottle of wine. How thoughtful! The hotel is about 10 minutes walk to some main sites and station so that was a plus!

Unfortunately it felt like a single random bed was plonked in our room. Was travelling with my sister and dad. I’m not sure why it was a single bed as a double could definitely fit. The mattress was awful, you could feel the springs/metal! I was going to complain, but my dad did not want me to. Where this extra single bed was placed, was opposite a building and a bright light shined through the massive window late at night and early hours….the window had no blind or anything to block this out. My dad could not sleep properly for the nights we were there. Again, I wanted to complain, but my dad said not to bother because we were only there two nights. Breakfast man needs to take a leaf out of the receptions staff book as he unfortunately was no where near as friendly. Cleaner did not come to clean our room whilst we were out. We rang to ask as we needed more toilet roll, they then offered to come, but it was too late then, we just wanted to relax after a day of walking.The property is on a small side street which has a bar opposite, so don’t expect a quiet early night when it’s open.Hopefully the hotel reads this review and does some changes as it would be a different review completely if they did.

Location

Service is not at the classification level—there are only a very few good staff. They did not make the final statement correct. The elevator was not defective, and they were unable to fix the problem in a timely manner.

Everybody was very polite and the room was beautiful, clean and spacious. Definitely recommended!
