Very friendly reception at check-in, clean, practical room, comfortable beds, good location
Not so friendly staff in the morning for check-out, tiny shower somewhat falling apart, rather steril room (no picture or any other color)
Large clean room, with blackout shutters.
Aircon didn’t get very cold.
At the check out we were treated very badly by Mrs. Daniela who at 11.45am began to harass us demanding that we return the keys. We were ready at the reception waiting for the second room to come down and it was a matter of a few minutes. The lady started to be impatient to the point of being very unpleasant. We left by noon (as requested) with the lady yelling at us and insulting us. Everything happened in front of my kids , they are minors and they were treated in the same way.
Location nears of metro station.Climatisation works.
Commun part is very noisy : We heard people in the corridor and walking in superior floor from the room. Moreover the elevator need to be renovated. The shower was not totally usable : the rainhead was not working and some pipe corks are not stick.
The rooms and corridors were supper clean and new.
The fact that the hotel’s main door was locked after 11 was abit annoying, also there was a wired smell in our bathroom
Location was a perfect 10. 5 min walking from Metro and trams, center, but very peaceful and quiet. The sheets were clean and the room is spacious. The terrace was small but very cute for a morning coffee or night talks!
There is a really weird smell coming from the bathroom pipes, which I suppose is because the building was old. The shower was really narrow and it was hard to use it because of that. It's new, so thats good at least. We also felt a small kettle would be great to have in the room!If you want a hotel by all it means, this will not meet your expectations - seems like the owner purchased few apartments on some floors in a regular building. So, after 23h you have to enter through a regular entrance shared with other residents.
The location and ambience of Porta Romana, it is pretty close to Duomo area and not tourist area. The hotel is small , the room is small and the elevator even smaller and old however it served its function. The lobby and breakfast room is small but still convenient.
No breakfast
The lift didn’t work when I checked out early and was not informed of this
Fantastic location. Modern and clean rooms
Not very helpful staff. Enquired about breakfast and they said it's full. We never saw more than two couples breakfast. No kettle in the room. Tiny shower although always hot water. Blind fixed too far out .from the window letting early morning light. You lay down in the bed and the blind hands above your nose. Otherwise comfortable bed
Location is excellent, lots of options nearby, restaurants, cafes & supermarket. It is a small with cozy and friendly atmosphere.
Your staff being too rude?
Representatives of the hotel wrote at least 3 hours before check-in that they were closed from 11 pm to 7 am. I informed them that we would arrive at 00:30 and whether it was possible to contact them at that time, to which they replied I was GOING HOME, NO. we waited outside all night because we couldn't pay the extra 200 euros for another hotel. The staff is terrible, barely speaks English, no courtesy. The room is ordinary, the water pressure is such that you need to take a shower for at least an hour. I would like to wish the employees of this "hotel" to burn in hell. And I still want my money back for the night I didn't spend there.
Very good location, a lot of places and restaurants to visit. The duomo is ca. 25min away to foot and whilst you walk there you can see a lot of the city. Our rooms were also good and ha everything we needed. The hotel was overall a little small and not the most modern but it was fine for the 2 days we stayed there. The breakfast was ok but we expected a buffet. Yoe basically „order“ your food the day before and there is not a lot to choose from. But the personal was really nice and helpful. For the price it was overall good.
Parking is in milan really difficult so we booked it with a parking spot but the enter was too small for our car. No problem for small cars but with our big family car impossible and to risky. Still great that they offer you parking!!
The rooms are basic, but it’s what to expect from a low cost hotel, no coffee making facilities but overall the rooms are ok. Only thing is that the curtains don’t cover the entire window, so from the outside you can be either seen in bed or pulled the other side you’ll be seen exiting the bathroom!
Problem 1. Over a week prior I tried to change the date of my booking, I realised that I no long needed to stay the Tuesday night as my flight was early hours Wednesday morning, so I’d have had to leave for the airport late Tuesday evening anyway so made sense to just check out the Tuesday, that request was completely ignored.Problem 2. I had a late flight which was also delayed and I landed in Milan at 10:30pm, it was around this time the hotel messaged me asking what time I was arriving as they close at 11pm! What?! There was no chance I was going to make it there in that time, so they basically said “ok well see you at 7am”! So I was left stranded in Milan for the night. Being a Saturday there’s a few bars open late so I grabbed a beer to evaluate my options, I eventually had to pay €150 for another room elsewhere for the night. Now, nowhere had I seen anything about the hotel closing, it isn’t clear anywhere and yet when finally checking in on Sunday, he states it says it on the main page of their own website, it’s my fault, no refund policy etc, I won’t be getting the money back, but I looked at their website, I tried every page on there, NOTHING about them closing! So who’s at fault here?Problem 3. When making my booking I paid the price inclusive of City Tax, upon checking in he stated that I had to pay it as it was extra! Ripping me off AGAIN!Problem 4. Lastly is just the pure rudeness and arrogance that they give you. I’m sorry but they work in hospitality, as do I, they do not have ANY customer service, their policies are terrible, just to take the money, they don’t care about customer satisfaction. I’d happily return here if it wasn’t for their complete lack of service and accountability. I’m a frequent traveler and my next visit to Milan later in the year will now be booked elsewhere! They could have had me as a constant visitor, they could have had repeat custom, but they don’t care about that, so elsewhere can have my custom instead!
Budget hotel. Basic but comfortable and very close to the spa QC Termilano which we wanted. Some nice restaurants close by and Duomo only 35 minutes walk away or 12 euros in a cab.
No tea making facilities, though they could make tea, it was only available in the morning and only if the staff on shift wanted to make it. For us Brits that really let the place down.
The hotel was well located, close by tube station, supermarkets, shops and restaurants. The room was quiet and we had a nice sleep. The property was a good value for money, the level of cleanliness was quite high and staff friendly and super helpful.
The property has no reception 24/7 and closes at 23pm. It is not feasible for someone who is coming from abroad and lands between 22 and 23. It will benefit to have someone during the night to avoid rushing to the hotel before 23pm.
I recommend! The hotel staff was so friendly, they helped us before we do check-in with the toilet and our luggage. When we arrived later we find our room ready and our luggage in the room they offered free water for us! 5 min walk from hotel you can find Bus station or Metro!
Good location and friendly staff
The air conditioning system seemed like it was times as it wouldn’t let me turn it on at certain times and room got quite cold
