The location is quite close to Metro, but not in the center. It's an urban residential neighborhood close to a main thoroughfare.The hosts are both peppy and informative. The breakfast choices were decent, and they accommodated dietary needs. That said, the breakfast might get a little tired after a few days, but we weren't there long enough to know.

The shower seemed a little hazardous and probably could use anti slip measures for the step into it.

Hosts, nicola and matteo, were very kind and liked to take care guests. Breakfast was good to start the day with fun. It was a kind of simple meal, a glasss of juice, a cup of coffee, sandwich and croissant. But it was very tasty. I and my wife asked one more croissant, one more coffee, respectively. Easy to go to city center via metro, about 5-minute walking to metro station. Good choce considering high expensive hotel in the city center.

No fridge. Not good sound-proof.

The fact that I could keep the room until 3pm, what Matteo proposed to me spontaneously, due to the fact the hotel was not very busy during this period.Hotel is close (3 mn.walk) to Metro line 1, which goes directly to Milan downtown (15 mn)No parking, but easy parking for free in the near areaMeraviglie restaurant is 6 mn. walk only and it is fantastic experience.Thank you again and congratulations!

Would be nice to have an electric kettle in the room or at least at disposal in the patio.Most hotels provide it nowadays, what is nice to prepare herbal tea that helps to sleep before going to bed ! ??

Very kind and welcoming hosts. The garden is amazing. The location is not too close the city center but with subway ~20 mins. The size of the room is spacious enough. The neighborhood is also good.

Maybe the location is not perfect but it takes only 20 minutes to reach Duomo.

Il GIRASOLE is a truly exceptional place to stay. You immediately notice that this place was designed with love. A little paradise in the middle of the city. Matteo and Nicola are lovely hosts. If you are looking for a standard hotel, this is not the place for you.

The hosts are the BEST people you will ever meet in Milan! Matteo and Nicola are hands down the most amazing people that made our short stay exceptional. No frills room. All the things you need are provided. Access to the train, quiet neighborhood, we felt safe and were treated like family. Words are not enough to describe the hospitality we have experienced in this stay.

There is nothing to like. We fell in love with Matteo and Nicola!

Excellent stylish B&B (apparently refurbished old factory) in north of Milan, far away from the hustle but easy access through metro (station less than 500m on foot). Fantastic friendly hosts. Good breakfast. Spacious rooms.

Not so much typical for this B&B but a general experience in southern Europe is the inability to switch off the airco - as it is centrally organized. The noise of the airco made it difficult for me to fall asleep. After changing rooms this was pretty much solved.

The kind of hospitality at the Il Girasole is beyond fantastic. Super welcoming, kind, helpful and informative. The room was very spacious, had a mini-kitchen and everything was very clean. I highly recommend this place for people who are visiting Milan for a few days!

The only downside if the location, which is a little bit out of the city centre. But there is a direct metro line connecting to the centre, and the closest station is 5 minutes away from the Il Girasole.

A very clean, comfortable, and cozy hotel. In the morning, you can wake up to the delightful smell of freshly baked croissants. The croissants baked by Mattes & Nicola are the best I’ve ever had in my life. The location is very convenient, with a large supermarket nearby and many restaurants to choose from. Highly recommended!

If the weather were a bit warmer, it would be lovely to enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the garden. I spent a comfortable and pleasant three days here, and there's nothing to complain about!

The two brothers running it are great: open, friendly and with a contagious positive attitude. The internal yard/garden is nice and relaxing. Metro is less than 5 minutes away and you can reach the center of Milan in less than 15 minutes.

Rooms could be slightly refreshed as a plus … but there is everything you need and also a bit more.

Our hosts were fantastic, friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. The choices for breakfast were great. We loved the quirky nature of the breakfast/bar area and the amazing garden.

Information on the outside of the building. I didn't recognise the sunflower logo at first and was not sure that we were in the right place. Once inside , everything was great.

Many people have mentioned this before, but the hosts were absolutely wonderful and so incredibly helpful! The breakfast was also superb. I immensely enjoyed my stay and the comfort of the room, as well as how close it is to the subway.

It's not really a negative thing, but I do enjoy having a bidet in the bathroom, which my room didn't have. But that's fine.

I can't say enough good things about Girasole and Matteo. He was so sweet and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. And my room was modern, spotless, and cleaned everyday. It was huge, by the way, with a little couch, table, and high ceilings. The garden is amazing.The area is close to a Metro stop, which makes getting around easy, even to and from the airports. It is a little outside of town, which is a plus because it was quiet and safe, but does take a little longer to get to places. The local area had plenty to explore. See if you can spot a lady who works at the cafe, pizza shop and local bar. I don't know when she sleeps. Lovely all around.

Everything...I was messaged before arriving, providing comfort that the room was available after a very long flight. The staff pulls out a paper map and asks what your interests are within the city of Milano. They circle these locations and mark where the Metro entrances/exits are. The meals are excellent. The location is clean, comfortable, and private. The staff is multi lingual and extremely polite. 10/10 would visit again!!!

Everything is presented beautifully, room, garden even breakfast. I also like the delicious breakfast, convenient location and friendly host. I'll stay again if I revisit Milan!

Hospitality is top notch, the owner is very helpful and friendly, gave me lots of tips and suggestions for my time. Very cute and fresh breakfast. Very clean and comfy room. Whole hotel feels like a home, has cozy homey vibes. Great location - there's a metro stop few minutes away that takes you directly to Domo. I'd say it's an excellent price and quality ratio!

I am actually in love with the hotel, Nicola and Matteo...Both brothers are fantastic, helpful and very friendly in nature.I loved the concept of Girasol which is very unique. The garden was nice...I loved the breakfast and the way very Italian way they serve...I loved the croissant with nutella. Rooms are specious and comfortable...The property is very near from metro station...Next time if at all i travel to Milan...my only choice is Girasol High Quality INN.

Il Girasole Quality Inn is now my preferred solution in Milan. The place is located in a quiet residential area just few steps away from the red line (Villa S. Giovanni tube station). Rooms are clean, the staff helpful and friendly. Altogether good value for money.

Breakfast was good, although perhaps a bit limited in the choice. Fruit, yogurth and cereals could be a good addition.
