The hotel was super stylish. Having access to the pool, sauna and gym was really nice. We ordered room service one evening which was very good.

The standard rooms are very very small and not particularly sound-proof. Our room didn't get cleaned on one of the days we were there.

Great location and decor gives great vibe

Shelf was basically on the bed was so dangerous for knocking your head or anything. I appreciate they’re small rooms but I’ve stayed before and not had the shelf right beside the head of the bed like that. First room smelled of toilet unfortunately but we were given another room quickly

I liked the atmosphere in the hotel, the smoothie shop downstairs by the door was lovely. I really enjoyed the pool/sauna/gym. The facilities were very good. I always loved the rooftop restaurant, the staff was absolutely lovely, however reception and the staff in the restaurant downstairs let the place down. I slept well, I think the rooms are very nicely decorated, the bed is comfortable and the shower is a good size. The cleanliness was poor, the curtains were all black mould at the bottom of them, under the bed was not cleaned, the floors did not seemed washed in the bathroom, a lot of surface dirt. It honestly seemed like the floors just were not touched. The curtains were a big one that felt the room had gotten neglected.

I had organized a donut delivery for my husband and I for our first wedding anniversary and the staff had them waiting for us on the bed with the Valentine's card. Communication with the staff to arrange these things was great.

I have stayed at The Mayson quite a few times before and had always had an excellent experience. This was not the case this time. A lot of the wonderful small details we had enjoyed in the past seem to have been overlooked this time around - there was no list with the cost of the mini bar items anywhere in the room; no robe or slippers for the spa (my husband had to pay for the use of a robe at the spa even though there were supposed to be robes in the room. He pointed this out to the staff and was informed he still had to pay); when I tried ringing room service I discovered that the buttons weren't all working and had to call reception to forward the call; our shower had no body wash; the floor in the bathroom had rust stains that hadn't been cleaned and there were broken tiles on the wall; but the worst part was discovering that the duvet had a stain that looked like blood on it.I was too overwhelmed by it all when I went to reception to let them know about the duvet and body wash and forgot to mention all of the things listed here. I suspect, from reading the other comments, that it wouldn't have made a difference. I will say that when we came back to our room the duvet had been changed and the body wash refilled.I have to say I also noticed that the staff in the restaurants were also paying less attention to detail. At Elephant and Castle, I had finished my meal for at least 10 to 15 minutes before someone came over to ask if I'd finished and it was another server, not our server who stood at the bar that entire time gossiping with the bartender. At Ryleighs, I ordered a side of bacon and it wasn't until my pancakes arrived that I pointed out the mistake to our server. My husband didn't enjoy his full Irish breakfast either. While they offered us free coffee or dessert for the inconvenience, it was just the last straw on a weekend that was supposed to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary but ended up being extremely disappointing.

Stylish hotel with great food options. The pool is small but hot and there is a sauna and steam room. Feels very luxurious. Rooms lovely.

Building work next door wasn’t noisy but bright at night.

    The exit

Hotel was absolutely filthy, cost 360€ for one night and 100€ deposit, checked out less then an hour later. I have 7 photos of how dirty the room was, so unhygienic and just dirty. Room was also as small as a box room. Left hotel and went elsewhere.Reception were just apologetic and offered a stay in their sister hotel and we said no as it was a 100€ cheaper that what we had already paid.

Quirky hotel, near to Aviva stadium as we watched the rugby. Restaurant food was lovely & as it was my husband’s birthday it was a lovely gesture getting a birthday dessert. Nice coffee & treats in the reception area. Bar next door nice to sit in for a few drinks.

    Bedwas very comfortable

Could hear room above us haven a shower and flushing toilet breakfast was OK we got full irish egg wasn't cooked and beans were like a curry flavour it food in restaurant was exceptional and staff were all lovely

Lovely space, room service is excellent. There was a slight delay with our room and the receptionist gave us vouchers for the bar to compensate, which was really nice. The pool area, the bars and the restuarants are really stylish and well done.

Really, just the attention to detail you expect from a 4-star. Our soap dispenser in our bathroom was empty. The phone in the room didn't work so that we couldn't call room service from it. The lighting by our bed also didn't work.

The bed was extremely comfortable, facilities were amazing and the staff were more than helpful for any queries we had.

There is limited parking however we worked around this.

location is ideal for any 3arena concerts, 5 min walk and you’re there. room was very spacious, Marshall bluetooth speaker, Dyson hair dryer + SMEG mini fridge with minibar facilities! receptionists were lovely and friendly and helped out with a particular issue i had with my first room which was sorted within minutes.

my only gripe i have is the room i received initially was still undergoing maintenance, had i not said anything at reception i feel it would have gone unnoticed. however everything else was superb

Excellent location, Barfood really good, staff excellent, very good breakfast

The design was nice of communal areas

The bedroom was beyond tiny, The shower had mold in it.We had to move rooms due to an alarm in the room that beeped all night. No apology or anything. The lift crashed to the ground whilst we were in it. Again no apology, the door didn’t open for a while. Some of the staff were so rude, forgot multiple orders and were generally unhelpful. Menu prices were crazy - £20 for chicken wingsGiven all the issues when we asked for a slighter bugger room due to having to sleep with an alarm in my ear all night the receptionist told me there wasn’t any despite the fact I could see lots available online

    2MarkPosted on: 2-10-2026

    shower was good.

Size of room very small. have to crawl over bed to get in. half lights not working. Can hear every car and truck from 5.30am and i was late in. then at 8am the builders arrived and none stop bagging cutting ect. so small no were to put your luggage. There is better hotel for the same price use them.
