Pros +
- The location was super ideal. It is practically in the heart of the Temple Bar area of Dublin. It was really easy to pop in and out throughout the day, and the staff were helpful.
- The staff was very helpful and had many great recommendations for pubs, transportation, and food. We also LOVED the restaurant adjacent to the hotel! It was fabulous.
- It was affordable and available
Cons -
- It should be noted, that there is a pub attached to this hotel on the ground floor... so some nights I struggled to fall asleep with the sounds of the live music going on. It didn't bother me too much, but a light sleeper should be warned.
- Loud live music playing outside the window until past midnight. (Hotel provided earplugs, but not ideal.) The button on the kettle was easy to hit and accidentally turn it on when empty
- The twin room was tiny. ITwas not as advertised. Two people and two bags made it impossible to move around. The beds were arranged in an L. The door was broken and wouldn't shut. Had to argue with staff to fix it and management refused to discount room.

The only good thing was the location. That's it. Staff indifferent and unresponsive to request for repairs to door that wouldn't shut because the auto shut arm was broken and to discounting the room not as advertised. Tiles in bathroom lose.

The location was perfect. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. When I return to Dublin I will definitely stay there again!
Nothing!
Location
Staff was helpful. Housekeeping kept it very clean The location was excellent, near everything and buses very accessible. You can see a lot in a short time. Bed was very very comfy
Very noisy at night. With no ac, windows must be open and outside is loud till 4:30 am. Had to fill out form with info again on arrival (was tired). Is a very lively city with friendly people and the hotel is perfect for all nighters. Will just stay a few blocks further next time.
Great location, kind staff, and felt very safe.
Noisy room
Kind of neat to see and hear the night life, but dragging luggage from car park 3 blocks away through the crowds of people was not appealing.
Extremely small room and bathroom, barely enough to fit suitcases with two people into space. Car park too far, might be ok if taking a taxi that could take you directly there
Great, location, friendly staff, nice room, nearby deal on parking.
It was close proximity to shipping and transportation
The steps to get to the bedroom . The dresser desk in the room had made it cramped . Maybe remove it and put a book shelf in the corner.
Location
Room too hot and if opened window then room was noisy
I only stayed two nights and it was a small basic room with two twin beds. Very close to temple bar & walking distance to all the shops and bars & restaurants. Right in citi center. They also have a bar / restaurant at the hotel.
Wish they had wash clothes to wash yourself with.
The location is fantastic! Walking distance to almost everything. The staff was very friendly and for an older hotel the room was reasonably well updated.
The down side of the central location is that the area is loud....like really loud. They provide ear plugs if that's any indication. If you sleep like an unearthed mummy, then this place is wonderful. If you can hear a mouse fart two blocks away, then this is not for you.
The room fit our family of four nicely. The bathroom was immaculate and the beds were quite comfortable.
There is no elevator and we couldn’t get the television to work.
It’s a classic old building in a great location. Room is ultra small but it’s fine for its purpose.
Room is exceptionally noisy. You might as well be on the street because the old windows do nothing. If they installed some high quality triple pain window this could be a fun experience. As it stands it’s really unacceptable for noise levels. I mean, they have free coffee, and earplug, in the room. That said, even the earplug couldn’t drown out the noise that goes on into the early morning. Replace the 150yr old windows!!
We booked last minute because of layover in Dublin flight on our way to New York. Love the location so close to the temple bar area and also the bus stop is right across. We took double decker to couple of places. It was easy to roam the city for less than 20 hrs layover.Room was small but only used for sleeping. Bed was fine. Bathroom n beds were clean. Fan was a big plus. Loved that they had coffee making kettle with milk provided and real cup and saucers in the room!!! Front desk personnel very helpful!
Great staff, nice bedding. Discounted parking but parking.
No air conditioning- opened window - couldn’t sleep bc either noisy bar patrons and street cleans at 3am. Way too hot with window closed but dampened some of the street noise. Discounted parking located 3 blocks from hotel- tough to carry luggage thru the city - would be nice for hotel to provide instructions to drop bags and then park.
Central location and easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The room was clean and beds were comfortable enough. It was very hot in the room so we were glad to have a window that opened for air flow. Front staff were friendly.
We knew we booked a small room, but it was so small there was no where to put our suitcases and they had to lay on the floor in front of the room door and bathroom door, which made it very awkward to get around in the space. The elevator could use some signage as to which button takes you to which area of the pub and hotel lobby.
The live music in the lounge was a particularly pleasant feature. We had not expected quite as high a performance...
the elevator seemed slow, but at least it seemed very safe
