    Pros +

    • Beautiful, clean and welcoming staff. Great walk ability
    • Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant.
    • Staff members have great customer service skills and very friendly and polite.

    Cons -

    • Room was not appropriately cleaned before check in. Hotel was loud on one day with construction taking place in the hotel.
    • I would have liked to have access to microwave in room
    • Our first floor room window overlooked the construction area which we were not told anything about. It was a bit noisy in the morning. There must have also been construction directly above our room as chairs were constantly moving and tools were heard.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The cleaning staff were very efficient. The location was exactly as described in the St. Stephen's Green area which was not busy at night with noise. All attractions were within walking distance.

The hotel was close and no one advised us. Luckily the hotel Alex was grate

The hotel is located near the train and other sites including restaurants and bars. Staff was helpful, the room spacious and well-appointed.

The restaurant is overpriced for breakfast. Non-feather pillows and bedding were not provided.

Great location but the breakfast was crazy expensive and poor quality buffet for the money. Place was tired for the price needs updating

Building seems to have a lot of charm and character.

Service is not great. I asked for an umbrella and they did not give me one, but gave it to the person behind me! Front staff are not the friendly. The room does not have good bathroom products.

    8TaraPosted on: 10-10-2016

The room was comfortable and relatively spacious by boutique hotel standards. The shower could use some maintenance (peeling ceiling) but otherwise the whole look of the room was quaint and stylish.

The front desk individual who checked us in, and also provided extremely helpful information related to the local buses for getting around the city. We were also able to walk to the City Center, which was convenient.

Due to no fault of ours (airline issues) we missed our connection to Dublin. I called the Davenport as soon as I knew we'd miss our first night at the hotel, with hopes of getting a refund or some compensation. They offered nothing (I am out $---)

The hotel was in a decent location. This places was pretty dreary:/ It significantly put a damper on our Dublin stay. We did not want to go back to it after our day of exploring the city.

This hotel was the worst I've ever stayed in. when we got into our room we realized that a 2.5 star holiday inn would be much nicer than this. The walls were thin, decor shabby, room service didn't do anything. Next time we will book a different place.

Great staff, very helpful! Good location, big room and nice bathroom. Free wi-fi.

The breakfast could be included in the price.

The location of the hotel is great, within walking distance to everything. The rooms are spacious, clean, a little rough around the edges.

The gym is a little sparse.

    Good location

It wasn't nearly as nice as the description and pictures. It was quite run down with very old carpets and furniture. Small windows and no overhead lighting made the room really dreary. Disappointed.

    3Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 12-10-2015

The lobby was nice. The staff were nice. Good housekeeping services. BlueTooth in the rooms. Good location.

The room looked straight out of the 80s. Old banged up furniture. Headboard only partially screwed to the wall. Dirty warn carpet. No minibar. The only window had a terrible view of what resembled an old elevator shaft -- almost no light came through.

    8GregoryPosted on: 8-31-2015

Location was great. We could walk to most major attractions. Taxi for the rest.Nice room, spacious.

Staff was not informative. Example room key is needed to power on room.

The location is great...literally across the street from Trinity College. 1/2 block from Merrion Square which is actually a really lovely park. About 5 minutes walking to St. Stephens Green. It really was a great location.

The rooms themselves could use some updating.

    9RhondaPosted on: 7-25-2015

    Spacious rooms and bathrooms.

The hair dryers they provide are horrible. Useless. If you need a hair dryer everyday, don't stay here.

    8Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 6-18-2015

Great hotel in a great location. Huge room and huge bed. Air conditioning and tea/coffee in room and plenty of storage. Even although some things I didn't like it wouldn't stop me staying there again.

Our room was a wee bit tired (broken handle on bedside cabinet/broken plug socket), noisy air conditioning which was ok but switched it off at night. It also had an internal window so couldn't see outside. Also breakfast was a bit on the expensive side.

Bed was very comfy. Bath tub was glorious

Reception was not overly helpful or friendly
