- We paid for a superior room and ended up in a room that you could not swing a cat in. When I complained I was told that it was a superior room.
- No air conditioning so the room was quite warm.
- Room was cold as couldn’t turn up the radiator temperature. Pool was cold too!

Breakfast was BAD.Bed mattress was VERY BADCarpet in the breakfast area all dirty and peeling in the corners.Heating was off throughout the night with the room cold and windows old and fixings broken my other half slept in clothes to keep warm!!For 350+ euros the premises thinks it's acceptable to charge it was genuinely scandalous money for what we got.Im not one to ever leave comments but im that frustrated over it all that this has to be said!!

Fire Alarm trigerred several times on our 2nd night, took time to resetHowever, staff took action as required and were quite polite
It was perfect as we were attending a funeral near by. The gathering afterwards was at the hotel and we were made so welcome and nothing was to much trouble.
Great escape close to home. Sutton has a village feel with all you could need & the public transport options are excellent. The Marine is very comfortable, with a coffee machine in the room as a bonus & has excellent facilities for health & leisure including a pool & great sea views at the back. It is a place that you feel relaxed after staying & I wish I had longer. It was great value & I will be back.
Clean and comfortable, sea view from room . Pool not too busy. Hotel convenient to Dart.
The hotel was lovely and cosy, lovely spacious room spotless clean , lovely dinner in bar and a pool and sauna , location excellent bus and dart literally 2 mins from hotel and you can walk to howth in about 20 mins also and a beach 5 mins from hotel with a lovely walking / jogging/ cycle lane around it.
Wifi was a bit hit and miss, my tv didn’t work in the room but as soon as i rang reception they had someone come up to the room very fast to fix it , pool is small but you can see from the outside is it busy and can leave it till later if it is.
Friendly welcome. Very comfortable
Breakfast was not to warm
room and staff where top notch
Breakfast was a little cold i.e bacon eggs sausage
Location was excellent right in the town we loved the facilities in the hotel and the room was very nice
The room was beautiful, comfy, and clean.
Limited options for breakfast.
Breakfast was very good, great service from Stephen. He was very freidlndly and professional.
Nice traditional style hotel
The heat was a bit intense in the room and the radiator was an old 1980s model so took a while to cool down
We really enjoyed our stay here. Though the decor was a little tired, that was not a problem. We had rooms that were not sold on having a sea view but still at the back with a view over the garden and bay. Had it not been November the grounds and access to the shore would have been a huge bonus, as it was we just made a quick visit. The restaurant (generally, see below) was excellent, and it was great to have something on site after long days sightseeing. The bar was nice and the Guinness good! Good value for money as well, compared with central Dublin options, and the travel in and out by train was easy (though beware trains are way less frequent on a Sunday).
The main grumble would be the food on Sunday evening. They obviously major on Sunday lunch and in the evening the chef was off and the options were limited to what was left over. Some of the items didn’t fare well on reheating and they had run out of vegetarian options, you would expect such a large hotel to have something veggie in the freezer at all times. As we said the other 2 evenings the food was great.Sound proofing between rooms was lacking and we had a neighbour who one night was on the phone loudly until 2am.
Friendly staff , great location, good value for money and spotlessly clean room.
I loved the location and the lobby
The outlets and bathroom lights only worked if the main light was on. That was an issue when we wanted to sleep and a safety hazard when we needed to use the restroom. Also the shower drain was clogged
The view was amazing and the location was great. Fiona at the front desk was very helpful and really great.
Our hotel room had no way to adjust the temperature and even with the room heater off and the small window open the whole way it was extremely hot and uncomfortable. They did have a table top fan in the room and we had it going the whole time. would not stay there again due to this.
Room was lovely, staff were friendly, seafront location was beautiful, Sunday lunch was delicious, and the pint of Guinness was 10/10.
Breakfast was disappointing. The hot buffet was barely lukewarm and appeared to have been there a while. As there were not too many guests, a freshly cooked breakfast would have been much nicer and probably more economical for the hotel, as I’m guessing there would have been a lot of wasted food from the buffet.
