Pros +
- We absolutely loved our stay at the Dean. We went for a birthday and they upgraded our room free of charge. The staff were so accommodating and welcoming. The property is in a great location and the room was amazing. The pool and the sauna was a great bonus. We would definitely be back.
- Thank you so much for upgrading our room. We had the most special time celebrating our anniversary. It was our first time staying in the Dublin hotel and it was just perfect from start to finish. The James Suite is perfect!
- Sophie’s bar restaurant on top floor was excellent, and so was breakfast
Cons -
- The property was under going some construction work but wasn’t an issue we didn’t hear loud noise. We did hear some music from the nightclubs around but wasn’t anything that would effect our stay.
- The bedrooms very dark and bathroom needs attention
- The cleanliness of the bathroom was not up to standard. The sink was filthy and the noise levels as expected were loud. If you are group of girls getting ready the rooms are very small with limited space for storage.

The location was excellent and the beds were extremely comfortable. The staff were of top standard and Sophie’s rooftop is excellent.

Central location but no sleep with noise pollution.
The noise from the surrounding night clubs affected my beauty sleep. Some noise is fine but not until 5am.The lifts were slow and some not working. Very slow bar service in Sofie's and no staff attending to lobby bar when asked us to move to this section after dinner.
Fabulous decor and very good location.
A bit noisy at night due to the nightclub.
Disappointing
Smoke smell in the room and corridors.Small towelsVery small room, located in a different building to the receptionRequired to give 50 euro deposit per day of the stay
Staff everywhere fabulous, restaurant fabulous
but the room as not clean, rug under bed was filthy, sink was dirty, floor all stains and shower was dripping all night.
Nice hotel, nice staff, food, room etc. No issues there.
Didn't expect my room to be directly above coppers smoking area so very loud which isn't the end of the world but for 350+ a night it's a bit of a piss take.
Rooftop bar
Parking. Room was very very small
The bed was very comfy good nights sleepThe room was very quiet until building work started on monday morningLots of different lighting
Directions to the room ie at the lift stopped between floors
The property is in a prime location, literally a 5 minute walk to Grafton Street, and no more than a 15 minute taxi to the less central locations such as the Guinness Storehouse. The interior is quirky and cool, and feels incredibly high end. And the roof terrace was really cool to relax and smoke a cigar with a cocktail or pint of Guinness. The staff were exceptional, friendly, helpful and professional. Nothing was a bother and the service was amazing. Sophie’s is a brilliant restaurant offering a great selection of food!
Nothing major, however I’d of personally like more pillows and a thicker duvet. I’m sure the team would have accommodated us if I requested 2 more pillows
Celebrated my 60th here, with my wife and children & partners. Had a great time. Lovely Georgian building. Very nicely decorated / themed. Really good rooftop bar. Rooms really nice and cosy. We all loved it. You can easily walk to Saint Stephen's Park and Grafton Street. We also walked to the temple car area and river from the hotel, although that does take some time, so at other times we got a taxi. We also got a taxi to the Guinness Store House. Google said that was about 35 minutes walk but it seemed like it would take longer than that, having been taken to it by taxi.
Nothing really, There are some night clubs/bars in buildings close by, although the noise was not something I really noticed. The hotel did provide ear plugs in each room though. I thought the Full Irish breakfast was expensive and not that good. Some of the other breakfast choices my family had, they loved. the portions were large its fair to say.
I loved the rooms so so much and I found the gentle man on check in to be extremely pleasant and helpful.
I was woken up very early by building work which was really annoying as i came for a break but ended up earlier than i do at home, then to add to my disappointment i was not asked how my stay was on check out so I could bot express my disappointment. I was then declined a table for breakfast even though i was a guest at the hotel which was one of the reasons why I booked the hotel so i then had to walk around Dublin with my caws trying to find food before my train home.
Location
No pool, no gowns, no heating working properly in the hotel. Very disappointing considering the price of the room. (I get the pool can have maintenance). Two single beds put together a pet hate. U pay extra for a better room with better facilities and overall a disappointing stay. All these points were explained to reception and nothing was done. I was offered a coffee for the drive home which I found insulting .
Room, restaurant , staff, GYM !!

Very central luxury accommodation in Dublin with nice vibes.
The room was small .
Location.
The room felt like it needed a deep clean mostly the furniture dust everywhere glasses shelves TV , table, The sheets were clean. More storage would have been nice as well. The bathroom door was tricky to move and didn't properly close , paint marked in several spots on the walls, skirting boards, where you close the bathroom door.
Bed was comfortable, dined in sophies restaurant on the rooftop food was delicious
Not very clean, bed headboards heavily stained, very dusty and floors were sticky, we stayed on a saturday night, and last drinks served at the bar was 11.30, our room was on 4th floor and the corridor stank of sewage
Funky decor, trendy, smell of coffee in the morning, alcohol at night!
Noise! Night time disco no joke
