- Enjoyed my stay, even though it was short. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas. Room was small but perfectly sufficient. Appreciated the supplies (coffee, hot chocolate sachets) given it was cold out. Everything was clean, bed was comfortable, the heating was good, and the WiFi worked. I'd asked for a quiet room and wasn't sure if the one I was allocated near reception would be; however, it was absolutely fine. I opted to pay for breakfast the next day and the woman on duty in the kitchen was keen to make sure everyone in the room had what they wanted. It's not my preferred location to stay but it is handy for the National Gallery, for example, and it is central - just a fifteen minute walk back to the city centre at my pace.
- Lovely place, good location, parking available.
- Very beautiful and stylish building, of those old mansion styles. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast a refreshing surprise after all the bacon and sausage breakfasts, this was rich but so variable that it was worth all the money (5 or 6 kinds of ham, cheese, toasts, sweet pastries, various juices, fruit, yogurts, coffee. What people might miss is eggs but not a big deal for me. Room small since i was alone its enough but it was very comfortable, lighted wardrobe, mini fridge and coffee machine. Bathroom i think the cleanest thing I have ever seen! Not even water stains I am wondering what are they using to keep the stainless steel and glass so absolutely clean even AFTER I USED the bathroom. Showers spatious (i am happy since i hate crammed booths this was really airy). Small toiletries and cookies in the room, some movie dvds to watch if bored (not my case). The only thing I thought i might have an issue with was the heating, I couldn´t figure out how to rise the temperature but the blankets were enough anyway. The bathroom warmer than the room (I liked this). Very quiet room. Location: excellent if visiting the National Gallery, for other sights it is still near, 20 min walk to Grafton street or St. Stephen´s green, there are bus stops literally next to the entrance so you can get anywhere even with public transport. Center or train stations within like 5-10 min. I felt safe even returning later in the night. I would definitely book again when in Dublin next time.
Cons -
- The only thing I didn't like - and it's happened me on three occasions in a row now with Booking.com - is the hold placed on your card as security against damages which isn't advertised upfront.
- Lots of stairs.
- Just the weird heating, I didn´t want to bother with it, but the room was comfy anyway and I didn´t feel cold with the provided blankets. The location not the most central but still very near.

Lovely and a 3 min walk from my son’s house.Very nice and helpful staff.
Never could get tv to work properly.
Excellent location. I was able to easily walk to everything on my itinerary, but there's also a bus stop right out front, and I had no problem using taxis upon both checking in and checking out. In visiting Dublin for a few days, all of my needs were well met by a compact but comfortable and well-organized room for a single occupant. It was nice to find that it included a tub that wasn't long, but still deep, also jacuzzi style. I'm a tall, middle-aged dude who's prone to minor back pain, so being able to enjoy that kind of thing from time to time is helpful.Thorough, good communication. Friendly service. The continental breakfast was solid, quite reasonable for the price. Housekeeping was efficient.Bonus points for their acceptance of Bitcoin as a payment method. I stuck to fiat currency for my visit, but that was still cool to see. Overall, I had a very nice stay. Recommended. :)
The back of the building is for automobiles, so if not using a rental car, one can't enter or exit that way without calling reception to ask them to open the gate, but that minor mobility condition was the only one I noted.I was able to get ice as long as I remembered to always ask for it before reception had clocked out for the night. Also just a minor condition, but being able to self-serve 24/7 would've been more convenient.
Liked clean bathroom. Liked iron and board, tea & coffee plus good hairdryer.
Having been warned not to make noise, I had to leave my room at 2am to ask people outside my door to not make noise. Plus hotel very nasty a pub. So music till about 2 am. Single mattress leaned a bit on one side. Not the most comfortable bed I've stayed in
It was a great place to stay, very close to downtown, staff was very friendly and helpful
Nice clean rooms. Wonderful breakfast, caring, concerned staff. This is our second stay and we will book again when in Dublin.
Nothing. It was a pleasure staying here.
Very quiet but close to downtown! We all slept great. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The staff was so kind and were able to quickly flip our room so we could check in early. The location was nice, a good walk to the city centre but lots of things nearby and quiet at night.
Very friendly staff.Room cleanliness, comfort and quality exceeded my expectations (looks like a new bathroom).Easy walk to the docks (DART) and into town. Great neighborhood (and away from the action a bit).Overall, great value.
I honestly really liked it. I can't think of any downsides based on the service they gave me based given what I paid. They don't have someone 24/7 on duty, but you can call the house phone, and someone will respond. That might make people nervous, but I had to get my room card working again, and they answered the call quickly.
Our 'room' was amazing. I say 'room' because we were actually in The Coach House! It was like our personal hotel! It was quiet, clean and a perfect treat to us. It was close enough for us to walk to the DART station as well as other places, even though we had a car. Also, the private parking lot was a huge plus!
It's a small thing, but it was misinformation. We asked if there was a place close by to do our own laundry and they sent us to a place that was a place that we would have to leave our close and come back for it.
Loved the neighborhood. Able to walk to restaurants and stores. We loved our room. The room was comfortable, clean, and well stocked. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We liked everything.
Great location. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful getting us into our room. Great place. We would stay there again. The bed and room amenities were perfect. We had the best night of sleep since we got to Ireland!

Location, the room, and the friendly staff
Clean and the staff are helpful
The rooms are significantly smaller than depicted on the website and Booking.com, which can be particularly inconvenient for guests traveling with substantial luggage.Additionally, the property is located approximately a 20-minute walk from the main city center, and it can be challenging to find taxis in the immediate vicinity.
Friendly and helpful staff, very clean
Just wish they offered a hot breakfast
Quaint, clean, easy to find, parking
Everything from the facility, rooms staff. Sol was terrific. Breakfast outstanding staff terrific.
A bit far from ferry terminal 20 minutes
The room was prettily furnished, nice carpet, a small desk with chair, bed was comfortable. Bathroom also nice-looking, with a shelf with plenty of room for toiletries. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was really nice and plentiful.
The drain for the shower was directly behind the door into the bathroom. That meant it was less than a metre from the bed. The drain must not clear properly and it was smelly. I didn't realise where the smell was coming from until the morning. I could have asked to move rooms but by then I'd unpacked everything and I was only staying one more night. But it disturbed my sleep and was just a bit gross. Although it's summer the heater was on in the room. I asked if it could be turned off but that wasn't possible so the staff member turned the air con on instead. I turned it off before going to sleep and opened the window, but was woken by the air con coming on at 6.30 am. It must have been on a timer which I succeeded in turning off. The worst thing though was that the bathroom door has an automatic closer which closes the door with a lot of force. The first night I got my hand caught in it and my fingers were badly bruised, and still are, three days later. Why it was considered necessary to put an automatic closer on a bathroom door in a small bathroom in a small bedroom who knows, but it is dangerous and could easily break someone's hand. My low overall rating is because of the position of the drain and smell, which would be obvious as soon as the cleaner opened the door, and because of the bathroom door closure.
