Location was good

For the price, the room was extremely austere/old. Not even a shower curtain hanging from the shower rings. Other accommodations available for this price category are better appointed.

Right in the middle od the red light district. No AC only had a small fan so in a heat wave it could be hot in the room

The staff were incredibly friendly, The room was spacious and the bathroom was a great size too. You can’t beat the central location, there was no noise heard from the street at night. I can’t wait to book my next stay early June time

The only thing I mentioned to the staff was that there wasn’t a bin the bedroom.. that’s it.

The location is absolutely perfect. I was pleasantly surprised as we entered, as being in the heart of the red light district I thought it might be a bit run down, but the lobby is absolutely stunning! One of the loveliest I’ve seen. The room also was really well taken care of with a really good shower. The beds were so comfortable too. Also every member of staff we encountered was so friendly and helpful, and when we decided to add an extra night to our stay (at 2 am on the day we were leaving lol) the night staff were amazing and arranged it straight away. I will DEFINITELY return to this hotel.

The stairs are very steep, but that’s actually the same as every building along the canals in Amsterdam and it’s made quite clear in the listing and we packed light as was recommended. Saying that, I was also expecting the stairs to be a bit uneven and rickety based on its location, and even though they were steep they again well taken care of.

Very light pillows and duvet, very little luxury for the price.

Perfect location, centre to everything. Rooms clean. Safe hotel as can only enter by man working there.

For me personally the bed wasn’t comfortable due to having a bad back but people I went with didn’t complain

This place was not clean. There was trash under the bed (a pill wrapping) when we got in. The walls were dirty.

We stayed here as a group of four women and were a little apprehensive after reading some negative reviews, but they were far from accurate. Our room was spacious, well kept, and very comfortable. The bathroom was lovely, and having our own private bathroom made the stay even better. The location was excellent, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. We would happily recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Location and clean room

Heating didn’t work first night but then worked ok after. Water took a long time to heat up.

Very amusing location - that's the draw. If the red light district is your thing then this is the place. It's not supposed to be quirky and fun, but it is.

I loved all the things that are weird about it. Black sheets, it feels off grid and a bit dodgy, (i'm sure it's not really).

Location was good. In the heart of the red light distric. Was able to leave our bags until check in and after we checked out til mid afternoon. Reception was 24/7.

Very narrow steps to get up to rooms. No lift. Hot water took over 10 minutes to come through. We had to go down to reception as no one told us this about the water. Very noisey hotel in general with it been in the heart of the red light. Can hear other guests in rooms and out in corridors and going up and down the stairs. Very basic room.

Leaving

Everything. The location is in the middle of the red light district, as two young women travelling we felt so unsafe and uncomfortable. There is no elevator and the stairs are more like ladders, with lots of luggage it was torturous to carry two 20kg suitcases up those ladders to our floor without being offered assistance. The bed felt gross, the duvet was paper thin and being in the middle of winter, we froze in our sleep. We ended up cutting our stay short after only one night and left to stay elsewhere.
