The location! Centrally located to central train station and major attractions.

Not suitable for travelers with disabilities (or ones who would have difficulty with their bags) due to steep stairs and no elevator.

Loved the location of the Hotel, very close to the station so lugging bags wasn’t a hassle. The hotel was fairly quiet, you could hear some movement from upstairs but over all comfortable

Staff were very friendly. Room was newly refurbished clean and bathroom was lovely too. Very quiet. Even with the construction work and renovations. I barely noticed them.

No bathroom ventilation , no even air freshener, horrible. Stairs are too risky and narrow.

Location is ideal - short walk from Centraal, trams nearby, lots of stuff to walk to. Friendly staff.

Nice little hotel in the heart of the action. An easy walk (less than 10 minutes) from Amsterdam's Centraal Train Station. You can see the train station from the hotel's front door. It's tucked into a block of shops, restaurants, tour operators. Friendly staff. Someone was always at the front desk. They are updating the facilities so it was nice to see the care that they are putting into the building. My room was compact and comfortable. Twin bed, desk, bathroom with a shower -- everything a solo traveler needs. Even though the area in front of the building is busy with people, trams, and cars, my room was quiet. I will definitely stay here again.

Carrying luggage to the room was a bit challenging, as there was no lift available.

Located infront of the grasshopper just across the street in the heart of Amsterdam Centrum right at the beginning of Damark Street This was one of the best, most comfortable, spacious and facilitated rooms ive stayed in Amsterdam ever, the room had 1 downside though it was on the 4th floor and the Hotel doesn't have elevators but everything else was perfect, the view of the grasshopper was phenomenal, the location, the staff specially Augustin was vrry welcoming and helpful other than the elevators and the minibars absence, this was the best room in Amsterdam, newly renovated with big spacious bathroom and shower, the room it self is also spacious with a marvelous view

Minibar, the stairs was a bit cruel given that u walk them several times a day, but not a big deal

It was very close to the Amsterdam Centreal station and also very close to the city center. The room was very small but comfortable and clean. Bathroom was big compare to the room. We stayed at first floor so we did not have any difficulty about the stairs. We did not use transportation.

The location was good . Close to everything including the train which was most important for us to reach the airport the next morning

The stairs ! It was like climbing a ladder to get to the room. I expected steps as I do in Europe but these were so steep and high . Also it was incredibly loud The room overlooks a main street and once the public buildings have closed you have busy traffic cleaners random people screaming garbage trucks everything it was like having the window open it was so loud. It’s also very dated. Not much room to move around the bedroom. And the room smelled like cigarette smoke even though they’re saying no smoking .

Nothing! We knew there was no elevator and steep stairs ahead of time. Nothing we disliked, but others may not like this.

Loudest housekeeping in any hotel I’ve ever been to. They have no consideration whatsoever that there are guests in the hotel trying to sleep. Could not sleep past 8 am on any of the mornings. They play music on their phones and yell to each other at 8 am in the morning right outside of the hotel room doors every single morning.

I forgot the fact that all historical properties have very steep and dangerous stairs to climb, specially with heavy bags

Very clean: bathroom, beds, floor - everything was extremely clean.Great location: all the main tourist places are within 15 minutes walking distance. Supermarken on the corner. About a 300-meter walk to the main station, with all trains and the metro.Helpful staff.

Too many stairs to climb to the room, especially the day after a full marathon, but it's Amsterdam, and the same will be in most places.No breakfast option in the hotel.

The hotel is simple and very tidy and clean. The localization is amazing, very central. I would definitely come back!
