    • The common area has a wonderful atmosphere, the staff are super friendly, the hostel is clean and spacious, with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. Feels very safe and quiet. Many shops nearby and a metro station is in 5 minutes walk.

    Cons -

    • The attention from the girl that was at reception at the time of my check out. ( by 11ish on the 16 th of February . She looked at me over my shoulder and wasn't of any help when I told her my suitcases were too heavy and I asked her if she could use the elevator to take the bedding up and down and told me that's not the use for it. Well it was not but I entered that place with wheels in both of my suitcases and due to her lack of helplessness I ended up without 2 wheels broken from both my suitcases. She threw one in the bin and it's on camera. She was repulsive and shouldn't be attending a reception. I understand we all got to eat but she was very rude in her manners and way of talking to me.
    • The WiFi wasn’t good in my room at least. I used my monthly data subscription in 2weeks
    • Location was a bit far from the center but it was close to metro and lively place that you can eat, drink

We loved the hospitality, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. There was no problem.

Location was a bit far from the center but it was close to metro and lively place that you can eat, drink

The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean, and each bed has a curtain, so you have privacy. The shared kitchen has everything you need, from dishes to free tea. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the guests and staff were very nice and sociable. I really liked that the hostel was all-women; it felt safe. There were also various events almost every evening (for example, CD painting or paint&sip).

Everything was good, for its price it was just a great option.

I loved the environment, the decoration and the installations:) , the personal were really nice and kind, I felt safe at all times .

The check out is too early :(

The accommodation is well located, just a short walk from the train station and surrounded by shops and fast food options. The station has direct trains, buses and metro lines to take you into Central Amsterdam, Schiphol Airport, Utrecht and more which was perfect for my needs.I found the bed to be comfortable and liked that there is a curtain, light and power sockets for each bed.

Whilst it is not ‘dirty’, the property also isn’t spotlessly clean. The floors of the rooms could do with a good hoover, and the bathrooms a slightly more thorough wipe-down, but all in all this wouldn’t detract me from staying again.

I liked the location being close to the metro and also the friendly polite and helpful staff. The showers were very nice. Also I liked that it is women only

There was not anything I didn't like

Very easy to find and the area is safe, also close to my shops and restaurants. The rooms are quite clean. Each room has a theme which is quite fun. The staff is very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend ❤️

    - Enough privacy in the dorm rooms because of the curtains- Very nice kitchen and hangout area with makeup table, sofas, tables, TV

I've been here the second time now and it was wonderful again, the price is great, you do have to go a bit into the center but the metro station is very close. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the hostel events are really great for solo travelers. I'll probably be back in April and there's no other hostel/hotel in Amsterdam that I'd consider at this point

    Very poor

Unfortunately, my experience with the management was disappointing. I was charged twice and did not receive a refund for a cancelled refundable booking, simply because the payment was made directly to the hostel. Even though I stayed with them and rebooked another room, the situation was handled unfairly.

    Very poor

The rating of this hostel is too high considering the way the management handled my case.I paid twice cause I did not receive a refund for a cancelled refundable booking, only because the payment was made directly to the hostel. Even though I cancelled one room and booked another in the same hostel, no fair solution was offered. This is unfair and dishonest toward guests.

My favourite Hostel to stay in! Clean, staff are nice, near Ziggo dome and Bijlmer Arena

    8Navelot-genetPosted on: 1-29-2026

The place is nice, the free activities are such a good idea and the big commun Space is nice. The kitchen is useful. They do your laundry for 9 euros no matter the amount of close which is a good value for money if you have a lot to clean.

Showers, toilets and rooms not really clean. They litteraly fold the clean sheets on the floor of the room… it wasn’t extremly dirty but could have been better. Pillows are really bad and the socket is litterally next to your feets which isn’t easy to use. Big rooms of 12 ppl with no windows that can be oppened so it smells bad. Low water pressure on the showers and the light turns off during your shower. I had to go off of the shower naked for the light to turn on again !

Excellent hostel, very well located near the train station. The rooms are spacious and the hostel offers great facilities, such as a makeup area, a common lounge, and a fully equipped kitchen. They also organize daily activities, which makes the experience even better. It is only 10 minutes from Bijlmer Arena, with easy connections to all routes. Everything is very clean, and the fact that it is women-only makes the place very calm, safe, and peaceful. Also, the staff is very friendly ☺️

Super friendly, welcoming and safe-feeling place. I stayed on my own for one night and felt completely safe, had my own privacy but also found it very easy to chat with people if I felt like it. I found everything I could need, the bed was comfortable, and the position was amazing as it's near a train/metro station and has lots of stores and cafes around. Perfect if you need to go to and event at the nearby arena.

    10AliciaPosted on: 1-20-2026

The beds are very comfortable, the staff is incredibly nice, they have a garden open 24/7, the kitchen is fully and the fact this is a female-only place makes it feel so much safer than most hostels.

Not located in Amsterdam! It takes a good 30 minutes by public transport to get to the city centre. That's the only drawback

    8MckaylaPosted on: 1-20-2026

The staff at the front desk were very nice and welcoming. The instructions for using the hostel's amenities and rooms were clearly stated during check in. Although I didn't participate in organized activities, it was nice to see that Hostelle offers them for interested guests. I found my bed very comfortable and blocked out ambient light from the room sufficiently. Additionally, it was very nice to have feminine products available for free in the bathrooms.

Although there is space to store smaller luggage under the bunk beds, guests are not provided a lock to secure their items -- you may rent a lock for a fee from the font desk. Additionally Apple Maps was unreliable for navigation to Hostelle, so I would recommend using Google Maps.

Really nice & new / it is far from the center but in a little shopping mall. Thanks to Korean or Japanese girl who left sweatpants as I didn't pack a pair!
