Royal Plaza Hotel Amsterdam

Location. Located in the middle of the city, close to everything, easy to get around.

The room was extremely small. Also our room bathroom smelled disgusting. It was so bad that we had to switch rooms and then 12 hours after that the second Room¿s bathroom. Started smelling too. This place has a serious plumbing problem.

The location is the only good thing.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.The front desk staff showed a complete lack of courtesy and customer service. There were two different receptionists, one on duty yesterday and another today, and neither of them was friendly — they didn’t even say “welcome” or “hello.” When we asked to leave our luggage, she simply said, “Leave them there, but we are not responsible for anything,” without even saying goodbye.Both receptionists had a bad attitude during check-in and check-out, showed no willingness to help, and seemed annoyed whenever we asked a question. Their lack of attention and concern for guests made our visit to Amsterdam feel very unwelcoming from the start.The room and bathroom were not clean, and there was a strong smell of marijuana and tobacco. The elevator was extremely small, the buttons barely worked, and overall the stay was very uncomfortable.I don’t usually take the time to write hotel reviews, but I don’t want anyone else to go through this kind of treatment.

Location was perfect

There is nothing really not to like. It’s just a room a nice comfy bed and a hot shower. What more can you ask for? for the price.

So close to the train station but in a nice tucked away side that doesnt get much foot traffic. Staff were mixed, very friendly lady at check in compared to another when I asked for a bottle opener playing on her phone and disinterested, she was not rude she just gave rather be anywhere else vibes which was suprising given the boutique hotel vibe.

Was pretty good value, nothing too bad it was very pleasant. The shower head didnt seem to provide alot of water, a personal hate of mine but yeah guess water conscious.

Bed was hard me and partner struggled to get a goods nights sleep

I liked the location where the hotel is as it was in the cbd and walking distance to the train station.

It took us 1 hour to find the hotel after the Uber dropped us off in CBD. Perhaps language barrier and not knowing the area was more the reason than Google maps. But even Google maps gave us a hard time to find the hotel.

Great sleep beds are comfortable can’t complain

Shower was not convenient very small bathroom and water went all over toilet from shower as too close together

The room was cosy, comfy bed staff were very friendly, its is right in the centre of town and surprisingly it was quiet in our bedroom didn’t hear outside noise Would deffo recommend staying hereWill be coming back :)

the staff were super accommodating and happy to help. also a very fuss free check out and easy check in. location was also very close to the station and an easy walk with backpacks

the bed was very uncomfortable and sunken in the middle. the location also meant nights were quite loud due to busy outside traffic

I like the location.

I don’t like the property specially the cleaner they are rude they dont know how to knock the doors they just open the door when your inside they are laughing , and also i stayed for 2 nights but no one clean my room for such money i paid its not worth it to stay. Plus the property looks nice on the pictures but very different in person, hopefully they used real picture of the property and dont edit the windows by the canal views.

Although non smoking room, still the smell of smoke. Needs some upgrading e.g. carpet on stairs was ripped.

Everything other then the location, the staff attacked my friend and the woman behind the counter put her hands around her throat. The man started putting his hands on us all due to us over sleeping. The room was freezing and had no heating

Shit

Everything. Me and my partner paid for a double room. Ended up with 2 single beds pushed together with a skinny ass memory foam topper. Where through the night it separated and caused a lot stress for us the following day with being sleep deprived. No remote forTv. No towels on arrival. Absolutely freezing. We seen a hair dryer turned it on in hoping to keepWarm and it shocked my partner. So that was a no go. Floor minging also.

Great value for an absolutely perfect central location. A great base to go exploring with a supermarket that sells cheap coffee and pastries right next door.

Very clean for the most part but the shape of the room makes it hard to open and close the window/curtains. Fridge only had 2 settings, off or freeze your drink.

The location was easy to get to from central station.

I was miss informed about the hotel. Here is what should have been told to prospective customers.The hotel is in a very busy street. There is no possibility of sleep before 3am due to party goers in the street, nor after 5am due to street sweepers and local business deliveries.The room was very small with just enough space for a crooked double bed. No wardrobe but a single bedside table. There were coat hangers on the wall and a rack with 1 cloth hanger. The room was a very odd shape with strange angles. Absolutely terrifying for anybody with OCD. The air con/heating unit was not working, neither was the desk top heater to replace it.Only 1 window would open as the bed and mattress was up against the other. There were no facilities for making drinks or any drinking utensils in the bathroom.We were offered another room but declined due to the overall experience we had had so far.We only stayed 1 of the 2 nights booked.

Location is excellent. it's just about 5-7 min walk from Amsterdam Central station.

Room size is small but fair enough. Bed is not enough for the two persons and that was not a real bed, actually it was made by combining two small sofas. Bathroom size was good but you would not find any toothpaste, brush or any lotion etc. just handwash and body soap and toilet tissues. Breakfast was satisfying, i mean you can take or may leave.

The location is great.

The hairdryer almost exploded in my face. The bathroom window is completely clear with no blinds and currently has scaffolding and ladders right outside. There is banging from construction from 6am-11pm. The door didn’t lock properly on our last day. The blinds broke in our room.

Central location.

Smelt like marijuana and then lo and behold the cigarette and joints were all just outside the window. Also the air conditioner did not work. Hair dryer was also broken as I found out after I washed my hair.

Nothing -Terrible place to stay. The bed was very uncomfortable, the bedding so unpleasant that I did not want to use the cushions. Very loud until 2am in the morning. I spent only one night there instead of 2 and could not get any refund because I did not tick the box for refund when booking.
