    • This is definitely a no frills stay. I picked it for the location and price. The pictures shown are exactly what you get. I chose the hotel for the price & an event close by, knowing that I’d be only be there to rest and get a good shower. Would I choose it again for the next event at that location, yes.
    • The location was good, but the room and toilet were too small.

    Cons -

    • We got disturbed during the night with some ventlator noise at 4am. Went to get the receptionist to find out was was making the noise. We did not figure it out but it stoped. The guy was very nice. The room was quite small
    • I read reviews that said the walls were too thin. I didn’t honestly hear anyone next door and sometimes I could hear the upstairs guests, but it wasn’t enough of a problem to complain.
    • Unnecessary restrictions like ‘no stains on the bedsheet or blanket’ don’t make sense. When we sleep, it’s natural for there to be minor marks or stains from our feet or general use

Perfectly located in a very central area. The room was small but very clean and comfortable with a brand new on-suite bathroom.

Their location is on point! Within walking distance of some of the notable tourist spots and there are numerous restos, cafe and groceries nearby. They have accommodating staff especially Long at the reception, he would cheerfully enumerate places to see, where to eat and so on. I like their bathroom as well, very functional and not cramped at all.

We found the room a bit small for a couple with two suitcases and that there were no closets at all!

Great location. Everything we wanted to see on this fist visit to Amsterdam was within a 15 to 30 minute walk. Albert Heijn grocery store nearby, pharmacy, coffee shops, restaurants, brown bars etc nearby. Coffee machine in the basement lounge. Front desk staff very friendly.

Watch out for bicyclists, it’s crazy!!

    Location

No fridge în the room, shower door didn't close properly

The location is acceptable, but nothing else deserves to be mentioned positively.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. From the very first day, we discovered an infestation of bedbugs in the furniture of the room. My children suffered multiple painful bites throughout the stay, and my youngest (under 12 years old) cried in distress from the discomfort. Despite my repeated complaints, the issue was never properly resolved, and we were not relocated to a clean, insect-free room. The hotel only offered to refund the remaining nights if we left early, knowing that finding an alternative hotel at such short notice was almost impossible. As a result, we were forced to stay until the end of our booking, enduring constant suffering. I even showed photos of the bites and the infestation to the front desk, and copies were forwarded to management, yet no serious action was taken.

Friendly staff.Clean environment. Housekeeping at best.Accessible to tram

Elevator is small and only goes to 2nd floor.

cost-benefit balance, kind employees, clean rooms, easy check-in and check out, they let the luggage stay in the lobby for a while

cleaning staff and other guests may be loud at times

The location was really good, tram was about a 2 min walk away , maccies about the same and to the centre about 15-20 mins. The beds were comfy and staff was nice

When we arrived the bathroom stank so badly of drains and the toilet was leaking so we had to complain, once we told staff they did help. Also the size of room could of been a little bigger as 5 people with suitcases there wasn’t too much room

Staff were very friendly just i thought the facilities were very poor. You can't get a coffee until 8.30am so if your an early riser like me,your goosed. Also the snacks & drinks machine needs updating. Only had coke zero. I'm a full fat coke person myself. Other than that,it's a great place to chill out especially when there's a coffeeshop next door but one & places to eat very nearby so everyone enjoy

My room wasn't the best. I had the small economy double room only to find out it has no windows but the staff did say they would change it for me if I wasn't happy but I'm not one for complaining so I suffered in silence. Other than that, no complaints

I booked a last minute trip to Amsterdam and was looking for a budget hotel I had read the reviews and wasn’t very hopeful but I was very pleased with this hotel it’s in a perfect location , it’s very clean and cosy it’s perfect for a few days , it also has 2 of the friendliest cats !! I’d really really recommend this accommodation

    Nothing bad

Great location, close to everything you need! Walking and riding distance to the museums, art galleries and Pubs!

    Location

“The room we received was nothing like the photos on Booking.com. It was advertised as a 20 m² room for 4 people, but upon arrival, we were given a room of no more than 10 m², despite me clearly informing the reception that I didn’t want that room. They initially promised to resolve the issue but didn’t follow through. After one day, they moved us to another room, but it still wasn’t suitable for 4 people—they simply added an extra bed to a 3-bed room. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and the reception staff were irresponsible in handling the situation.”

    10SimonPosted on: 12-12-2024

Even though the booking was very spontaneous and short term, the staff was already informed upon arrival about my booking. Check in hence went smooth and fast. The location couldn't have been better, even though it's by nature a rather touristy area.

Overall the stay was to my satisfaction. I got nothing to complain about.

It was easy to find. Tram 12 ran along at the end of the street to and from Central Station. Easy to navigate to famous landmarks like Anne Frank House, Madame Trouseau, Dam Square, Canal Cruises, etc. Reception was open 24/7, and nothing was a problem. Beautiful smiles and extremely helpful ladies. Made me feel welcome. Bed was comfortable. Room had a safe space to hang clothes. Heater came on at night. Good wifi. Could use space downstairs and make a cuppa. There was also a lift available. TV worked.

No jug in the room. Shower head kept falling off the holder (needed repairing). Shower tray filled with water when showering....drain needed attn I think. Bit noisy at night with guests using the stairs and doors banging. Maybe hotel doors in general could have a more effective *soft close* mechanism.

Perfect location, nice staff and cats!

Walls are a bit thin but otherwise the room is good. Some issues with the elevator but resolved in a day

3 of us needed a place to stay for one night, didn’t need anything fancy but the room was clean, staff very friendly and nice the location was great.

For what we paid, I thought the value was excellent even though the room was basic.
