Pros +
- Centrally located with a great staff! They offered to help with our luggage, gave excellent suggestions on places to visit and dine, and were always friendly and supportive. The room itself was also very clean and tidy, which made our stay comfortable.
- The staff and location were amazing. They assisted us with anything we needed and we were able to walk just about anywhere.
- The room was perfect for three people. We checked in close to midnight but the 24/7 staff was so responsive to our questions :) The beds were comfortable. The room was cozy. The bathroom is functioning really well. Choose this if you are strong enough to carry luggages up or have someone to help you, or if you’re only traveling with a small bag?
Cons -
- The stairs were quite steep, which could be a challenge for some guests. It would be helpful if there were more clarity when booking on whether rooms are located on lower or higher floors.
- The stairs up, of course, but it’s clearly indicated in their description that there is no lift, so be ready!
- In a 2 week stay in Europe, this was our most expensive stay by a good bit, and was BY FAR our worst accommodation. The room was significantly smaller than the pictures made it out to be (couldn't actually walk around the large bed because of sloped ceiling -- had to bend over and shuffle around); was barely enough room for a single person to walk between the foot of the beds and the wall; AC unit wasn't working (needed to walk back down the lobby for remote batteries), and neither were the lights on the bathroom mirror, which made a very loud buzzing noise because of that; street noise was incredibly loud, even 4 floors up with the window closed. Listing also did not mention this had no elevator -- we needed to walk up 4 very steep and narrow flights of stairs, which were so small that only half of my size 11.5 US (46 EU) foot fit on it. Several of us in our party have bad knees, and this was difficult to begin with, and significantly more so with luggage. This was more in line with a hostel than a hotel, and was not remotely worth the large price tag it came with. Super disappointed with Booking.com for this one.

Although the checkout time was 10:30 a.m., we requested an extension due to a special situation, and they kindly accepte
Room was pretty clean, and staff was friendly.

The location, value for money and friendliness of the staff were top notch! In the small double room, we had a comfortable queen bed, clean bathroom and lovely balcony too. We were able to store our luggage before check-in and after check-out. The people working there are super friendly and helpful! We could walk to the important must-see spots in Amsterdam easily by foot.
The slightly steep stairs but they added to the fun of the experience!
Easy to find, very clean, comfortable bed, good coffee, staff was friendly, street view, nice shampoo and soap. About a 25 minute walk from Centraal. It took me about 45 minutes because I was taking in the charm of lovely Amsterdam.
This wasn’t an issue for me, but there is no lift, the stairs going to the upper floors are very narrow and steep. People with mobility issues would have difficulty staying here. I could see not having air conditioning being a problem on hot days. The pillows were a little bit awkward. Overall, it is a cute, clean, affordable place to spend a few nights.
Location is really good. Very close to a lot of restaurants and the tram is right there but also very walkable. You're in the middle of the tourist attractions so getting around was not hard. The room fit all of us four in and although there was not a lot of space for luggage but it was still comfortable. The place is also very clean,
Toilet is small but this was expected for Amsterdam in general anyway. Same with the staircase its small and quite steep but this is Amsterdam for you. I did see that there was some rubbish underneath my bed which I assume were from the previous occupants of the room.
The privacy the quiet the hospitality
Very clean and great location
The stairs are crazy like a hike, I know Amsterdam is known for these but definitely if you are an old person or you have problems with knees, you should tell them or search another option. Also you can hear a little of the other rooms noice.
From the very start, the staff was super lovely and welcoming! They happily stored our luggage while our room was being prepared, which was really helpful. The room itself was clean and had all the simple essentials we needed to feel comfortable. Throughout our stay, every staff member we interacted with—including the cleaning staff—was kind and always willing to help. Overall, it was a really nice and pleasant stay!
The stairs were a little spooky, but honestly, that’s part of the charm—and exactly what you’d expect from a traditional-style place right in the city center. We were super lucky to score the top floor, and the cute, encouraging messages along the way were such a sweet touch! :)
Clean room, good location and good staff attention. Recommended
Very well equipped room, friendly helpful staff. Great location and value
Excellent room, the stairs to reach the top floor are pretty steep though!
Amazing rooms, exactly as seen in pictures with everything you need. Bonus points for the awesome view of the street, really gave my stay a proper Amsterdam vibe. The staff were incredible polite and even helped me carry my bags up the stairs. Lifesavers, give them a raise!
The stairs in the main building are quite steep. Not a problem but older travelers or those with mobility impairments should maybe request a ground floor room?
Location
The noise , toilet shower which was flooding the entire bathroom, very steep staircase which makes it difficult to carry your bags but . But the staff did help us with our bags .
cool location, really central and easy to get to.
obviously, with the central location comes the noise. did not really bother me, but could be a real problem for some.
Location is great, walking distance to tram station. The space is bigger than I expected. We have a pleasant stay here.
the stairs is very steep, but the staff helped us to carry our luggages to our room, this made the daunting task easy. There’s noise about 3AM from the street that woke us up, considering the location, it’s understandable though
Location. Tram stop is next to the hotel. It's easy to get to the hotel by tram from the railway station. They come every 5 minutes probably. Room is clean. Inside the room you can find a coffee maker with tea bags and coffee, small refrigerator, AC. Receptionist was so kind to bring our luggage upstairs.
There is no elevator and stairs to high, almost vertical. But I think as in the same hotels around. Pillows are too
The room was good - I expected something less but I loved the big windows (standard in Europe, I guess) The front desk person was super helpful - she even carried my smaller bag upstairs which I really appreciated. She also gave me tips where to eat which was really nice. I used to work for hospitality so I can easily appreciate genuine service.
Don't come back drunk or carrying wheeled luggage, especially if you are staying in a very high room—the stairs are really steep.
Everything was wonderful. The hotel had a cozy atmosphere, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was absolutely perfect — we could easily walk to many main attractions.
If you're staying on the top floor, the stairs can be a bit challenging.
