    Pros +

    • Great location for where I had to travel in Amsterdam. Clean, efficient property with nice neighbourhood shops and cafes nearby. Try the small Italian place with home madepasta. Fantastico! I will be returning to the Townhouse for my next business trip to Amsterdam
    • We didn’t actually stay at the townhouse, we were moved to another hotel called ITC which was opposite, the room itself was clean an tidy, the bed was amazing!!! Such a comfy mattress, lovely duvet cover, I didn’t wanna leave :( the room didn’t have any tea making facilities which was abit of a let down but the bed made up for it!
    • Location was great, lovely comfy cosy room and bed, good shower and the room was clean, had a TV on the wall with access to Netflix etc

    Cons -

    • No tea making stuff in the rooms :( they were 2.50 on the machine in the lobby
    • Not the hotels fault, as its in a beautiful old building it can get a bit noisy and you can hear people talking, getting in of a night as if they are in your room and footsteps, that was the only downfall for us.
    • Very little clothes storage space.

We booked a double room and when we arrived they had no more options for us and he gave us a room with two single beds.

The location was really good, and the room was even better than the images. The bed was comfortable,The shared facilities were clean and the staff was helpful.

The bedding had some stains on it.

Comfortable beds. Friendly staff on duty who ensures things that we needed are provided for in the room like Kettle. Walking distance to many eateries and the Tram stop 1 minute walk from the hotel.

We booked The Townhouse Hotel upon reaching there, the signage on the door requested us to proceed to ITC Hotel for check in as the reception was there. Despite informing of weak knees and unable to walk flight of stairs, we were given room on the 2nd floor. The duty manager said the stairs is OK to walk up but upon reaching the stairs, it was steep and narrow and difficult for the elderly to walk up with heavy luggages. The steep stairs is dangerous for the elderly with weak knees and it can cause injury if not careful. The Hotel should notify Booking.Com that guests will have to proceed to ITC Hotel for registration and check in.

Near to the central and near to the canal, but also they had bike rental which was very convenient. The staff are very friendly.

We can hear what is happening upstairs and the front door when people close it, we hear a big bang and we end up waking up at night time. Was difficult to sleep. The heating wasnt working properly, it doesn’t warm up well even though we put it ip to max.

Perfect location. Friendly staff. Staff changed our room after two nights due to mosquitoes in the room with the windmill wall sticker.

When we were given the room initially the member of staff said in passing that there is another room free tomorrow if we are not happy with to room provided. Which hinted that the staff knew the room was not good. Following two nights at the hotel we finally gave up with the mosquitoes and asked for a different room. By this point we were both covered in bits. When I told the receptionist the reason for wanting to move they cut me off mid sentence and said that they are aware of the problem. This lead me to believe that this is a common complaint from guests which makes me wonder why they are still putting people in that room. Once we moved the room was great. So thank you to the hotel for the service.

The location was the only redeemable factor.

Bed bugs. We got put in a hotel opposite where nothing looked the same. Rude staff. The vending machine had different price for the same beers.Uncomfortable rooms.

There were ants everywhere and every corner had dust. Very bad stay and I’m not happy at all

Cleanliness. Staff rudeness and infested with ants

Cosy little room in a great location in central Amsterdam. Perfect for one night stay.

Abit small for 2 people with luggage but that’s to be expected in Amsterdam. We had stayed previously at the Amsterdam Canal Hotel and

    5CharliePosted on: 4-20-2024

The stairs are very steep and originally I had booked the townhouse hotel, but when we got there we were told to go to one building for our key and actually neither of those 2 were our room, we had to go across to a 3rd building

The stairs are steep and my partner hit his head multiple times with no signs

    1AlbiePosted on: 4-11-2024

Nothing at all the hotel is too cramped I was at the very top and walking around Amsterdam all day to have to walk up the steepest steps is horrible

I had been bitten by bugs and the staff denied it and said it must have been mosquitoes when it wasn’t even 10 degrees out side

    Lovely room great location

The stairs very steep but with good handrails

    7AndrewPosted on: 3-28-2024

    Location was great

Not been informed before arrival that we needed to go to another hotel to check. It was not far away, but could have been told before taking our luggage to the front door! Our friends room was not ready for him either, and we arrived after check in time.

    Room spacious

Was another hotel. Not townhouse. Trams was loud through window.
