We loved the very convenient location. The staff was excellent/friendly/professional and answered my many public transportation and sightseeing questions. Room was very clean with lots of storage. Just a terrific place to stay!

Nothing not to like.

Great location, really comfy beds, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The free drinks and snacks throughout the day really added to the stay. The breakfast was great as well.

Excellent location, fantastic staff, beautiful rooms, complimentary refreshments at all times. This hotel is the perfect base for couples and families. My second time here and we will definitely be back again.

My only grumble is that room doors don’t shut very easily so you must remember to really pull them shut.

Good location, nice view of the city, clean and spacious room, comfy bed, good soundproofing considering the busy street with trams and cars passing in front of the hotel. Elevator and fridge in the room also a plus. Overall a good experience.

Breakfast is basic, some staff were not very polite, toilet seat was too high, i am 1.80 and could not put my feet flat on the floor when sitting(room No 3), heating is done with air condition and could not be precisely controlled, on maximum setting it was a bit colder than i would like.

Very central and easy accessible to the city, beds were as comfy and free drinks is a nice touch.

The bed was poor; it sagged. We had to sleep the our heads at the other end of the bed.

The nicest staff. Especially on arrival the lady at reception sat and showed me all the best places to visit. Beds were super comfy and location was amazing

Great location, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, nice breakfast if you get to early enough.

I was a little dubious of all of the great reviews for the hotel. However, I can fully confirm that the 5 star reviews are well deserved. The location is less than ten minutes from Amsterdam Centraal station and minutes away from shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel was clean and well kept and the staff were extremely welcoming. The room was a decent size with a very comfortable bed. We've been coming to Amsterdam for a number of years and I will be booking Hotel Sint Nicolaas for our return visit. Highly recommended. Oh and the complimentary beers, wine and soft drink was very well received.

The free bar feature was great, especially for my case as I was meeting some locals and we could spend time sitting in the lobby and not be searching the city for another bar. It was also well-stocked with drinks and snacks. The staff is great as well, smooth check in and out. Also great location if you are traveling by train, super easy to get to the station.

Some wear and tear in the room was quite noticeable, but it was cleaned to perfection. Also it seemed to me that there was only the AC heating in my room and since I was away the entire day it was freezing when I got back till I turned the AC on. I managed to heat up the room but it was brutally cold for a few hours. You can hear the street and people who stay above, so earplugs are needed.

The location was excellent, right in the center and five minutes from the central station. All kinds of shops and restaurants near by.

When I went to the room they gave me, it was -1°C outside and the top window was open, so the room was freezing. First, they tried to cover the window with something, then they turned up the air conditioning and tried to make me stay like that. When I insisted, they had to change the room.

Complimentary snacks and beverages were awesome. In a cool building and very very central location. The bathroom could use some renovation

when we checked in in the evening there was no hot water and we could not take a shower. when asked about it to the reception they simply said it was a problem in several rooms and cannot be fixed until the morning. that was frustrating.

Very convenient location, 5 min to main station, 24/7 reception staff, free snacks and drinks in the lounge.
