Steigenberger Airport Hotel Amsterdam

Shuttle, size of room, bed and bathroom.

Dinner buffet was a little pricy, but good food.

It had a free airport shuttle

Need more receptionists other than 1. No instructions on how to use the tea kettle and shower. The shuttles smelled of cigarettes. There were 2 shuttles the morning of check out, they saw my husband and one driver put his hands up and also drove away.

Convenient and comfortable stay if you need something close to the airport. There is a large green space/park within a 5 minute walk that provides a nice outdoor walking or running experience.

The eating options nearby are very limited,

Quite far away from the airport. Shuttle was going only every 30 minutes. Hotel was quite old and used up.

A satisfactory overnight stay at the airport

The food. The main restaurant appeared to be closed. The meal in the brasserie was sub standard

We had a very nice room, a suite since we needed a room with a fridge. The hotel is in front of a really nice restaurant which is nice so you don't depend on expensive hotel food! The staff was mostly very nice and it's located closely to the airport.

I didn't like that they increased the prices extremely,we were stuck due to the snow and could not fly back to South Africa.Unfortunately some businesses take advantage of people's misery only to make more money! Luckily not all businesses around Schiphol airport did this so we could move to another place after one night at Steigenberger..

The space in lobby. Cute idea with the game area ( Classic games). Food was nice. Rooms were comfortable.

the bus does not come too often enough during the winter months :::::: very very cold outside while waiting. Not as grand as we expected as most Steinberger Hotels are.

At arrival in the evening I asked for invoice with company data for next day (morning at checkout) and filled the company data to the registration form due to it so the invoice will be filled with those data next day at checkout. Despite done so, the next day morning at checkout another lady at the reception asked for company data again and told me it was not filled anything in their system.Prices at the bar (Sport&Media Bar)- a draught beer 0,25L for €5,25 (Heineken) till €6,95 (Brand) and 0,5L for €9,95 (Heineken) till €12.95 (Brand) I found too much compared to other similar hotels at the location.

Location.

Air port shuttle only from 8am-11pm.I booked a hotel to catch an early flight. Had to uber.The sauna and swimming pool was “broken.” Unavailable. Staff seemed annoyed and impatient.

The staff were great. The price of the buffet was very high but the food was excellent. Problem was that the location is not near anything or anywhere that you can just pop out and go pick something up. If you need anything, you'll need to catch a cab.

The room and hotel were very nice, but the shuttle from the airport was not able to accommodate all the people needing to go to the hotel. We had to take a cab to get there and check in took a very long time but didn’t have that long if a line. Didn’t understand it.

Shuttle service. The morning shuttle didn’t show up but hotel staff called a cab to take us to the airport.

The staff were very nice and helpful.

My shower was broken, I couldn't adjust the shower head, my towels were falling apart and the curtains in the room had holes in them. The price of the hotel was very expensive since most flights were cancelled. That shouldn't happen for the price of the room and with the reputation of this hotel!

Hotel was clean and the leisure facilities are excellent.

Morning of checkout the receptionist was extremely rude and then I get home to find my card had been billed £95 more than what I paid via booking

The room was dirty with dust all over, especially under the bed. I normally don't even look there, but i was doing my exercising and sound like that room was not vacuumed for month. Especially for the price i paid i was expected more of the value.

Price too high, i didn't like showed since all water was draining into the restroom. Cleanliness was pretty bad. I even made

close to the airport. I could see where the shuttle was with a qr code. Very good breakfast.

Old, not renovated, not clean, cold. To use the word Spa is not adequate.

I have stayed here a few times now and it’s is always clean, comfortable and spacious. Great facilities with free airport shuttle and sports bar.

There’s always a bit of a wait to get checked in at the property.

Helpful and sympathetic reception staff on check-in when we were exhausted after a very long and disrupted journey. The room was stylish albeit a bit too dark. We liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom but couldn't find a way to control the temperature in there. The shuttle bus with the tracking system was much appreciated.

The line for the shuttle bus back to the airport needs to be managed better. Some kind of markings on the ground or system indoors to indicate where to line up is needed, anything to stop it becoming a free-for-all when the bus arrives.

Pool, bar, friendly staff and other guests

The location is excellent for an overnight layover. Great bed. The sports bar menu was tasty and well prepared. Restaurant servers were sweet but not well trained.

Furnishings are tired and in need of a refresh.
