Dam Hotel

Room was great for what we needed! Location of hotel was also central. Room also had a fan which was great.

Might have been our own lack of research, but there were 4 sets of steep, narrow stairs up to our room! Our bathroom/shower area continually stayed soaked and we needed multiple towels each night to sop up water as there was no barrier for the shower.

No elevator. Probably an option would be to have been able to pay someone to get our luggage upstairs. 4 floors of carrying our luggage upstairs.

Radiator stopped working second day, as did wifi (Christmas Eve). No heat or heaters brought till 11:45 am Christmas. Power surge Christmas night at 9pm bc of heaters and still no radiator heat.We were aware of stairs. There are no channels on the TV, and wifi is spotty. Also, there were signs for No Outside Food for some reason (not listed on policies online).

We had a great stay! The location is excellent – everything is close by and easy to reach. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated being able to leave our luggage both before check-in and after check-out. The room itself is simple but perfectly fine for a comfortable night’s sleep. After all, you don’t come to Amsterdam to spend all your time in the hotel. Overall, a very good experience and we would happily stay here again.

The stairs were horrible, we were on the 4th floor…. The lift wasn’t working and the guy at the desk was too high to really help us …. He grabbed the bottom of my bag and went up 2 flights…. Said that was it. NO AIR CONDITIONING!!

Absolutely nothing

The person who sitting in the counter in the reception is such a bad person and he was so curious he was searching my passport as he was looking for his mom’s name. He searched in my insurance and search for all my visas and search for my passport exactly so he was a curious person curious for nothing he was hungry for nothing.

Very close to the train station. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Small rooms, very steep stairs and no elevator, no air conditioning and above a busy street to you can hear everything from the street below and smell the cigarettes and weed.

Perfect location in the city centre and close to the train station

Tiny little room, old enough, mattresses were not at all comfortable.

Location is great. Less than 5 minute walk from Central Train Station. Restaurants nearby.

We complained about the stairs going up every time haha but it's part of the fun of experiencing new things. So wasn't a big deal. Pack light though. Overall, nice hotel.
