    Cons -

    • Very cold room and very thin walls
    • room did not have some working lights and no blow dryer.
    • This hotel advertises itself as a "3 Star Luxury Hotel" This is not the case. I would give it 1*, 2* would be pushing it. The rooms are outdated and spartan. The star rating should be lowered. A 2* rating would lower expectations and mean higher rating.

It was only --- euros a night. Clean and comfortable. Free ferry to get you right in town.

It is a boat so it rocked at night.

Don't really have a view because our floor is first floor

    Location

Felt run down. Room was uncomfortable to do anything but sleep in.

This is one of the most fun hotels I have ever stayed in. The location is on the ferry dock, and across from the train central. Stay here!

It is a really nice place to stay

The experience at the Botel was highly disappointing and I cannot recommend it to anyone. While the location itself is good, numerous issues made the stay extremely poor.Key Issues:Arrival & Access: There was no place to drop luggage in front of the hotel (Botel).Room Misrepresentation: The rooms looked nothing like the pictures shown online.Cleanliness & Value:The towels provided were extremely dirty. The bed was also dirty. The overall value was terrible; the condition was so bad I wanted to leave immediately upon seeing the room.Disturbing Incident: Upon our initial arrival, a staff member gave us the key to our room. When we opened the door at 12:00 AM, we discovered other guests were already inside the room. They apologized and provided another room and key.Noise & Safety Concerns:The wind caused the entire loft to move and the windows whistled non-stop, preventing us from sleeping. The door kept banging due to the wind. A staff member suggested opening the window, placing a towel, and closing it again—a fix that he tried himself, but which did not work. The "idea of the room on letters" concept is nice, but I would never stay here again.

Amazing room - loads of space, great views, huge TV and lovely sitting area. Great big span bath & separate shower.

Great location near public transport. Breakfast is decent but basic. Perfect for a quirky, budget-friendly experience.

We stayed in loft B, it was bigger than I thought it would be. Beds very comfy. View was great. Nice trendy area. Staff very friendly.

We have stayed at the hotel before over 18 months ago in the main boat and had a amazing stay this time not so good we had paired well over the odds to stay Boxing Day leaving New Year’s Eve and booked the loft letter L Good things on this trip … nothing just frozen and nothing to do or go in the hotel area

Botel was full up of what looked like refugees and main boat full unable to book We booked the loft letter L it’s like a metal shipping container to say it was freezing in our stay was an understatement,.. nothing really in the room but a bed … wasn’t clean at all, we had a kettle and some cups Paid stupid money to stay thinking it would awesome and a treat to stay in the loft letters … shower room was acceptable but again freezing

We stayed in the letter B, we enjoyed everything about it! It was clean, it was very very comfortable, and easily accessible due to the free regular ferry! The skateboards were a cool extra, we just used it as base mainly as we were out alot but was great and would stay again!

The only negatives I could think of is they provided tea and coffee etc but no milk but we could have easily got some if we was planning to be back there for a longer period than we was.And it said there was a games console and TV on middle floor but that wasn't there when we was there, however that didn't affect us in any way as we wasn't there for that! We lived absolutely everything

    The idea is unique

The bathroom layout was appallingToilet kept flushing after flushed Two small pillows for the bedNo full length or outer mirror after shower was steamed up

I loved the location; right next to the ferry and easy to get into the city. The windows and deck view was absolutely stunning to watch the sunset at! The breakfast and lobby area was clean and the WiFi was fast.

Have a place to sit. Walked into the main “sitting area” to find a giant skateboarding ramp in the letter B of the Botel. There wasn’t a place to chill and enjoy the views so I ended up having my breakfast sitting on the circular stairs. The bed was at the very top, up another ladder that is easy to fall down.

Well, staying on a ship was a special experience. The main deck was nicely decorated and pleasant to spend time at. Don't worry about the location, the ferries are nearby, free and offer a unique experience - you start off every day by crossing IJ (well unless you choose to stay north)!

It would be nice if there would be a shared kitchen for people looking for a more traditional hostel stay. The price is definitely more on the expensive side, there weren't many people at the beginning of November staying in the 8 bed dormitory.

Location, location and the view it was beautiful

What a disappointment this hotel is more beautiful on the outside than on the inside. We're in the letter O it's decrepit, and could really do with a refresh and a lick of paint it's full of stinging spiders and not really clean except the bed and the bathroom. Another thing I would have liked to know is that the Botel is now a Ukrainians refugee camp, which makes for a very unpleasant two-speed service. It's not normal to have VIP status when all around you can see the distress. A gloomy atmosphere of infinite sadness everywhere.Garbage cans in the corridors, musty smells, posters to help people find work, lost and found lonely shoes, fridges in the lobby etc a two-speed service in the hotel that was immediately explained to us when we arrived- there's them and us.All this for a prohibitive price of 300€ a night.

Stayed in the letter T. It was very cool. Loved the view. Very convenient to Amsterdam. Wondering which letter to choose next!
