The morning staff is pleasant

When we arrived the first night the guy in the reception was arrogant. We took the keys and found a lot of water on the bathroom's floor. This was already annoying especially that we were tired and hoping for some rest in the room. The guy gave us a room in the ground floor, it was so noisy we could not sleep the whole night. the next day they fixed the problem but still noisy because the hotel is old and there is no sound isolation standard.Breakfast is okay and location is central. I would never book it again.

Location is brilliant, very central. We had room very high up lovely view and not at all noisy. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Great breakfast!

Breakfast room a bit crowded.

Very well located. You can walk everywhere or catch the train/bus 5min away from the hotel. The staff was really nice too. The rooms are big, ideal for family vacation. Breakfast always available and they even let us take the breakfast before the opening time so we could get our train to the airport on time.

The location was fantastic, very central and very close to the train station and coffee shops.The breakfast buffet was also a real bonus, self service all you can eat.

Stairs! As with most central Amsterdam accommodation, you may need to get your steps in, we had a lovely room in one of the annex properties across the road and although it was lovely, it was on the 3rd floor.

Location is perfect. Almost next to the train station and in a walking distance to all high spots. Easily accesible and comfortable. Staff is really friendly.

For 1 night stay it seemed okay.

Location only 10 minutes walk for us elderly from the Eurostar. Walking distance to interesting parts of the city and tour boats. Friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff, request for additional pillows instantly dealth with, lift, bar and excellent restuarant all within the building. Breakfast good, planty of choise but not as varied as in larger hotels. The general ambiance of the hotel within this ancient building was lovely.

Mat for bathroom floor, had to use one of our towels and no anti-slip mat or surface in the bath where the shower was located. Lack of tea / coffee making facility in the room [not unusual in small continental hotels], no hair dryer. All very minor dislikes

Central location, walking distance to all we needed to get too. Room was a good size. Breakfast was good and staff were excellent.

Beds way too soft aswell as the pillows. Very noisy at night.

Very poor

Receptionist (old man with beard) was terribly slow, he took nearly 15 mins just to check in one person, and was also rather rude. Requirement to leave the card at the front desk is ridiculous, they don't even verify your identity before you collect the card to go up to your room, which is so dangerous.Room was extremely tiny, and heater didn't work well so it was super cold. It was also really noisy. Everything is also really old and there is no bathmat or proper shower area. The entire toilet gets wet if you shower as they only have a shower curtain. Also, the entire place smelled like weed.For the price you are paying, I strongly advise you to stay elsewhere as this place is really below expectations.

It's a nice hotel, in a great location. The breakfast is good. The room is like a little apartment I was not expecting to go down some stairs after I entered the room. But the bed was soft and nice.

The walls are thin and you hear everything on the streets. Also with the windows open the rooms are so low that you can tap some on the head as they pass by.

Perfect location just being across the road from the station.

Very Dirty shower , abrupt older receptionist at evening check-in was quite rude when processing payment. Rooms need updating.

Crazy value for money. I paid 90 euros with breakfast. Breakfast was more than ok. The location is genuinely awesome. The hotel cleanliness couldn't be defaulted.

Very old hotel, could use a big refresh but seriously at this level of price considering the location it would be unrealistic to expect brand new rooms. At least everything is working and is super clean. The hotel is obviously very well managed.

Expensive crappy room

- Location is very noisy- Staff was very condescending and rude- Facilities were old and matress had a masive brown stain, carpet was very dirty- Room smelled horrible- Stairs are extremely dangerous and it is not mentioned anywhere when booking about this issue

Closeness to the station

I find the staff quite rude and abrupt. This is the second time I’ve stayed there. I don’t know whether it’s a colour issue or what but they are actually quite rude quite abrupt.

Close to the center, with a beautiful view. The room was warm and the bed was comfortable. However, we could hear every step from the people walking upstairs. The bathroom was old. Breakfast was average. Thank you, by the way, for allowing us to wash the child’s bottle and to store our luggage in the room.
