Hermitage Hotel Amsterdam

Location. Some of the receptionists are really nice and welcoming.

Found previous people's "leftovers" in the room (in toilet and closet). The room smelled (like mold), walls pealling, wasn't very clean. Problems were not solved immediately. Explanations were unclear beforehand. No elevator makes it uncomfortable.

Very central location, very clean facilities with daily cleaning, and very helpful staff.

Small rooms but most places are like that. We just used it to sleep and shower.

We really liked the location of this hotel, as it was in the center of the city, and yet surprisingly easy to get to. There were 3 of us, so the size of the room was sufficient for what we needed (especially since we didn't spend much time in the room for a quick weekend trip).

The parking wasn't ideal in that we had to park approximately 8 minutes away and pay an additional 50 Euros/day; but overall, it was ok. There weren't many additional amenities on site with the exception of free wi-fi, but that was also ok as we didn't spend much time in the hotel itself.

Could hear the guests in the next room almost like they were in the same room as me. Unfortunately they liked to talk and watch videos even after midnight.

Was in the inner circle of Amsterdam.

No elevator!! I was on the 5th floor and the stairs were really steep. If you have a lot of luggage good luck!Beds were uncomfortable. Walls were really thin.

It’s a 5 story hotel building with no lift, so it’s kinda difficult to drag the baggages upstairs

The location is amazing, directly on a canal and close to the center. It is fairly easy to find the structure and the staff is really helpful.

The room was rather small but sufficient. The isolation from the main hallway was not optimal and the morning was difficult to sleep due to noise. Nevertheless the hotel gives you earplugs for this.

I liked peaceful location of the hotel. Very nice stuff. Great bathroom and good clean room. Simple and nice hotel to stay. Wouldn't mind to stay again there for next visit in Amsterdam city.

Missing AC, room was kind of hot

The staff are really nice and helpful. The room was sufficient for three people and the location was great. The back garden is also a nice place to grab a coffee. Overall I really liked this please and thank you to the staff!

The beds were slippery.

Very nice place, great location with a lot of landmarks close, beautiful canal in front and very close of train and tram too. The staff is really friendly. The stairs after the second floor are small, but it is normal in amsterdam.

I liked everything

Quiet location off Amstel River but close to maket, Rembrandt House, only 20 minute walk to Museum Plein. Good sized room larger than typical European hotels. All tile bathroom very clean and with large shower you can move around in. We had the room in back overlooking neighbor's back yards (which we never saw used). Really good coffee shop around corner named Alpha with excellent Greek tarts and good coffee.

Stairs are a little tricky to navigate. That's really about it.

Location, staff and room set-up and comfort were great! Quite noisy at times during evening.

Location is perfect, few steps from Rembrandt Plein.

No lift

Nice hotel and not far from Rembrandt square but a bit of a track from dam square or other parts of the city centre. Other guests in the hotel caused a bit of bother in the early hours of the morning but other than that it was a good trip.
