Staff, location, clean, comfortable room , view

Have to change the bed , very uncomfortable

The staff were very friendly and the location was great.

The wifi was unusable.

Climbing up to the top floor and looking over the canal. This place fits the bill. You will love it. Leans a bit left.

Location and the canal view were OK

It’s an old Amsterdam building hence no elevator. This wasn’t told and carrying my luggage up and down from those narrow stairs was very difficult. Everything else was old as well. Beds were, I guess, 20 years old. The carpet had a strange smell. I guess they didn’t vacuum as well. I found grape seeds and stems everyday. Wifi was terrible also. I reminded them to replenish the coffee capsules twice but no chance.

A large room with a great canal view in a great location.

The double bed is of course two single beds put together, which I expected. However, the mattresses feel like they’re due for replacement as they are so soft at the edges.

Bedroom furniture needs refurbishing, noisy at night, no lift

Perfect location - not being able to throw toilet paper in the ground floor toilets was a bit odd - but the building is from 1600s so we understand.

Lovely staff and personally I found the room very comfortable. It was exactly as expected.

I found that maybe the shower could do with a tiny bit more cleaning. Otherwise everything was nice and as expected.

Hotel Amstelzicht is probably the most crooked building in Amsterdam, and I say that in the cutest way possible. It is literaly leaning on it's neighbhoring structures. It is a part of the Amsterdam culture, located in a great place near the city center, just a few minutes walk from all the main shopping roads and of course the Dam Square.

I'd prefer a double bed, but that's just nitpicking. If you have any issues with leaning buidlings, this would definitely fall into to your "avoid" group.

The location was great and the room was better than expected with a beautiful view of the canal.

The layout of the room was a little bit out of the ordinary but nothing crazy, overall it was great

Stairs are so narrow and steep

Great location, room was spacious --we were in the family room which was in the basement , nice kitchenetteas well, friendly staff. Authentic canal home

Despite being a nice spacious room , we were all turned off by the fact we could not flush ANY toilet paperand had to put it in a garbage can in the bathroom for the entire stay due to being in the basement level.

Great stay in a historical building, very special and authentic experience! The room was very comfortable and special mention to the friendly staff who went above and beyond to help me out with my questions. Would definitely recommend and return.

It was a good location and everything was close by. Staff was friendly.

There was alot of noice at night and very early in the morning. The bed was not that good.

The view was stunning from our room, with incredible cheap price. Overall we had a great stay! Will definitely come back.

The property is a little small than I thought and the stairs were really scary since they r all tiny. But I’ve been to others hotels and seemed like all of the houses in Ams are that tiny.

I stayed at a double room with canal view. The apparent was clean, with necessary basic facilities. The location of the apparent is great, most sightseeings are within 30 minutes walking distance. The room was warm even though it was around 0 degrees outside. The lighting was cosy. The staff was friendly and let us keep the luggage after the checkout

The double bed had 2 mattresses. It would be more comfortable if there was one big mattress. Also a shampoo in addition to the soap in the bathroom would be good

The location is perfect you are almost citycenter with a tram station behind the hotel 5 mins walk and 10 mins to the central station where you can go everywhere else

The star is so steep to use it up or down especially with luggages and a baby if you have. But they offered to keep the stroller downstairs and we don't have to take it up with us everytime.

Room very spacious, very clean, amazing view. Didnt realise we were staying in a tourist attraction (one of the dancing houses/ slanted houses) until we had a tour on a boat and they advised :)

Very steep stairs but they are traditional stairs so cant do anything about that :)
