Pros +
- Beautiful old building, with gorgeous staircases. Free lockers of various sizes can be accessed by travelers to store their luggage, without having to wait for staff to open them. Great breakfast buffet.
- Ambiance, historic, comfortable, located in one of the best parks, amazing helpful staff, restaurant variety and taste is one of the best, great location
- Lovely old building nice bar and restaurant. Great and helpful staff
Cons -
- The layout can be quite confusing.
- It’s a bit out of the centre but in a quiet location.
- The room had a funny smell, particularly in the bathroom, it could’ve done with some air fresheners. It’s nitpicky but the tv was small and had no smart features. No water provided for the room! 3€ at the front desk.

Lovely old building nice bar and restaurant. Great and helpful staff
It’s a bit out of the centre but in a quiet location.
The fact it’s in the park grounds is lovely. The decor is tasteful. The hotel bar and restaurant are wonderful.

Don’t stay in room 001
Don’t stay in room 001. The hotel hosts private functions in the space right next door. They had a very loud party on a Thursday night that ran until 1am. It was impossible to sleep though it.
Amazing inside an out. It’s our 2nd stay there. We stayed in a junior suite this time which was fabulous!
There was a drainage smell in the bathroom.
Great location, friendly helpful staff, beautiful building and open spaces.
Earlier check in
It was a lovely stay. Nice area, easy to get into town. Beautiful building.
The pillows were very uncomfortable to sleep on
Beautiful building, good location
Bad smell in my room, staff didn’t suggested to change the room. Noisy neighbors. Uncomfortable “double bed” made of two separate, with a hole inbetween.
Location, artistic vibe, kind stuff
Bed on lower level of the room and sitting area on the upper level… this is very unpractical. There is not enough space for clothes.
The location is excellent. The hotel itself it’s beautiful and is located in a beautiful park, 5 minutes walk to tram and 10 minutes to metro station. The restaurant and bar are great and not expensive compared to other bars, restaurants in the city. You can do check in/out online for swift key collection. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and in the room you will find everything you need. They have bike and umbrella rentals.
I generally dislike the glass bathroom idea in the room as it has large gaps around the doorframe and offers no privacy. The staff at the bar were great. Reception desk was often empty. The hotel hosts some events where there was a rude security lady who shouted at us for using the hotel entrance/exit door as this is now door for an event entrance and we should be using the restaurant door to go in/out. Although they did have a sign put up on the outside of the hotel - we did not see this sign as was going out and was no signs or information about changes of the entrances from the inside. Our window was leaking from the rain in room 203 - no one was on the reception desk to inform so I used the bin in the room to collect rainwater. Luckily it wasn’t raining long.
Great location, lovely room
Housekeeping not as attentive as I’d have liked for the money. No new cups / glasses each day despite them being used for coffee/wine in the room. A bit dusty. Bin not being emptied despite baby nappies in them. Had to pay extra for travel cot.
I do not recommend families...
They don’t have any customer service we request for heater and three nights we didn’t receive the room is full of dust and we showed them three days in a row and every day to try to clean room and it’s still full of dust. I would not recommend anybody to live there or especially with the family kids my daughter she her clothes was full of dust and she was walking. It was horrible. Stay And they were not helpful and very rude.
The architecture and the design of it
The food, the service, the attitude of the staff
Nice hotel with interestingly arranged rooms: the bathroom walls were half transparent which might be awkward if travelling with someone. The room had two floors which I found cool but something to keep in mind if you don’t want to climb a flight of very narrow stairs to reach your bed. Everything was spotless and tastefully decorated, would stay here again.
I liked bathroom and interior was very good
Rug with dusty Spot
Location, restaurant
Uncomfortable beds, light didn’t work although was fixed later
The staff were really friendly. The aesthetic and interiors are really well done. The rooms are clean and tidy. Its a cool looking hotel.
I found my room to be quiet noisy which results in me not feeling very well rested. My room was adjacent to the parking / bin store and I got woken up a number of times. The beds are also pretty uncomfortable. I also found the food to be a bit lacklustre at both breakfast and dinner. I would recommend eating out rather than at the onsite restaurant.
Excellent hotel - the location is unreal. Tram right outside. M54 metro to central station only a short walk (approx three mins), loads of other metro stops too. Hotel on the grounds of a park which is lovely. Loads of really nice restaurants, cafes nearby. I regularly visit Amsterdam and this hotel is by far one of the best I’ve stayed in. Excellent value for money too. Room was split level which was really nice but if you had any accessibility concerns, it would be of benefit to contact the hotel in advance. Would also recommend if going to Ziggo Dome as it’s only a couple of stops away on the metro.
Super Clean Exterior is cozy, comfortable and space! With the backside park, beautiful restaurant overlooking it! Easy to reach Amsterdam city centre too
Hard to leave!!!! ;-)
