    • Location
    • The location is great, it was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing!
    • The location was great. The room had a great vibe.

    Cons -

    • It's an old building so noise travels understandably. But on top of that there are some inconsiderate travelers who talk loudly late at night and very early. The staff should address this
    • The stairs were very steep and narrow.
    • The stairs are tricky, but that is to be expected in an authentic building in Amsterdam.

It is a beautiful boutique hotel with friendly staff and in the best location

Breakfast could have been a bit more organised but not a big deal

    7LucyPosted on: 2-17-2026

    Good location

Room was small, despite being described as 'larger than average'. Price was inflated due to it being Valentine's weekend.

    Great location, friendly welcome, overpriced.

    6GüneşPosted on: 2-7-2026

Breakfast was wonderful lots of things included. Receptions was very very professional and friendly. Location was also good but there was no view so it’s a little bit expensive

    9CharlPosted on: 2-6-2026

The room was near and spacious. Friendly staff and very good breakfast.I can recommend to anyone.

    10ChantalPosted on: 2-6-2026

This place is excellent! I highly recommend it. The staff were very friendly and courteous and the location was amazing. 15 min walk to the museums and they have canal cruise tickets! The beds were extremely comfortable, I visited friends in other hotels and definitely this hotel was all of our favourite. All the shops and stroop waffle bakeries are also incredibly close- as well as the flower market!

Just be mindful if you have a big checked bag the stairs are narrow and there is no elevator. People with mobility issues should avoid as there are stairs to get into the hotel as well.

    7FarmakidisPosted on: 1-29-2026

The location was very good near dam square and shops.

There wasn’t an elevator. The room didn’t have good soundproofing.

    9AeinPosted on: 1-29-2026

The hotel was very good overall and I enjoyed my stay. The only issue was that there was no elevator, and my room was on the third floor, which was a bit inconvenient.Apart from that, everything was fine and the staff were kind and helpful.

    8Ahmed_fahmiPosted on: 1-26-2026

Everything about the room and the hotel was great, Staff was helpful and location of the hotel is really nice.

Being on the top floor made carrying luggage in and out a bit difficult.

    10BrantPosted on: 1-19-2026

The most beautiful, quaint room we have ever stayed in. Great view of the canal and beautiful buildings. Can’t wait to stay here in the top family room with canal view even if our kids aren’t with us next time!

    1AntheaasPosted on: 1-19-2026

    The staff was polite.

The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke on arrival. More concerning, the duvet insert had a visible menstrual blood stain. Staff stated it had been laundered but reused anyway.Blood-stained bedding is a biological hazard and should never be returned to guest rooms, regardless of laundering. This reflects a serious lapse in hygiene standards and quality control.A complimentary drink and late check-out do not adequately address a health and sanitation issue. Very disappointing.

    9SörenssonPosted on: 1-19-2026

Location, breakfast, beds, basically everything was great

I think the pillows were way too hard. There should be a mix of hard and soft pillows.

    10JanPosted on: 1-18-2026

Beautiful well decorated, well maintained boutique hotel. Staff is vey friendly. Location in the center of Amsterdam. Bed is very comfortable and soft. Room is well equipped. Room is quiet. I loved the atmosphere in the hotel due to the decorations and details in the design. Breakfast was great and tasty.

Make sure you come in time for breakfast as the room is not super big; it is also absolutely not small; it is just that most hotel guests always come during the last hour breakfast is served. Hotel is not suitable for disabled people (or I must have overlooked an elevator somewhere).

    8TjibbePosted on: 1-17-2026

In the centre of Amsterdam everything in walking distance! Staff was very friendley and helpfull, room was good and clean! Nice Finnish products for sale for Moomin collectors also something nice to find!

We bookt with Booking.com with a good price, maybe that was the reason that the room was up to the roof because of the good price we get! need good condition

    8NadiaPosted on: 1-14-2026

By the canal. Easily accesible too as well

By the street so it can get noisy nightimes.

    8AshleyPosted on: 1-14-2026

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfy and clean.

    5SeyedehPosted on: 1-14-2026

    Location is good

No lift, bad stairs, no doorman to help with luggages despite the fact that there are many stairs. Walls are not sound proof and too many noise! Also the breakfast area is too dark and design is way outdated. Please redecorate, i know its a heritage building but I’ve never seen one so intact for the interior! A lift is a must, stairs are way too dangerous
