Catalonia Vondel Amsterdam

The hotel has bad plumbing that resulted in bathroom mishaps during our 3 night stay. The hotel staff was well aware of the issues, and it seems that the ownership may not be investing in keeping the property in good working order. Will not stay again.

Location was amazing for where we wanted to be.

The room we had was the family loft and it was somewhat of an afterthought it seems. The other rooms looked so much nicer than ours. However, the loft provided plenty of room for our family of 5. The lights flickered and it was dark and cold.

A very well-located and well-attended hotel. The location is really impressive and helps to get easy around Amsterdam, you really do not have to ask for more.

The staff were always willing to help, and the location of the hotel is very good.

We woke up because of strange noises coming from the radiator, and the noise continued throughout the entire night. Even though the staff changed our room, we experienced a similar issue in the new room as well. In addition, the rooms on the top floor are very small, so you should definitely take this into consideration when making a reservation.

We were upgraded to a better room which was a nice surprise. It was spacious and clean with good facilities. The reception staff were very friendly and a shout out to Guillermo who even gave us a little gift when we left! Also,very convenient for the bus stop, less than 5 minutes walk, to get the 397 bus to the airport.

It was a bit hot at night and the air con unit didn't seem to work. A bit of noise occasionally from nearby rooms but generally quiet.

Very spacious room for Amsterdam standards, very comfortable bed and bathroom. Shower gets hot really quickly.

The floor was slanted quite a lot and the hot water didn’t work a couple of mornings during our five night stay which was annoying

The location is great, in the heart of Leidseplein, minutes of walking distance to the museumsquartier and Vondelpark and the stops of main tram lines. You can find everything you need in the walking distance. Also can reach very easily to the Central station taking the tram. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The room was super clean and comfortable, had all the facilities for a great stay. Strongly recommended!

The staff, the location, all clean and service was excellent!

Located near Leidseplein but in a quiet side street, the hotel is a calm oasis in the bustling city. Our room at the top floor was spacious and quite striking with its exposed wooden beams. We‘d choose the Catalonia again!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, we had to be moved rooms due radiator issues but we got upgraded to a nicer room we were happy however there were some light bulbs out in the bathroom and the one that worked flickered.

Fantastic location and a wonderful surprise upgrade to a suite made our stay even more special. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. We had an amazing time and will definitely return on our next trip to Amsterdam
