    Pros +

    • Location was excellent, staff was friendly and accommodating,
    • How private our room was, the staff was nice, bed was good.
    • Bedroom and facilities fantastic but rather a high step from sleeping area to jacuzzi area.

    Cons -

    • Although there was no limit to breakfast it all had to be ordered and brought = a buffet facility would have been preferable
    • Coming from the United States, some of the amenities like the coffee maker and jacuzzi tub were a little difficult to operate at first. Written instructions would have been helpful.
    • There isn’t anything I didn’t like. ?

the decor of the rooms was beautiful old worldly. Luxury bedding and small touches of personal service. Complimentary mini bar and a great cocktail bar near the entrance. Thank you for being a great accommodation.

I loved the unique, 17th century atmosphere. It was convenient to nearby restaurants, shops and attractions. Jerry at Reception is the BEST! Friendly and welcoming staff!

    Excellent breakfast. Excellent staff device.

While the rooms had very large whirlpool bathtubs, one room did not have shower doors to avoid splashing water on the floor.

    3SharonaPosted on: 1-19-2026

The room was worn down, the furniture and everything needs to be updated as they look extremely worn-down, even the doors to the closet and the closet, door to the bathroom, couldn't close it properly.

the ROOM being worn down and everything needed to be updated in the room.

    The decor is mental.

The room is very quiet and with a nice facility

The carpet of the window should be bigger to be closed

Conveniently located with well appointed facilities and fantastic breakfast options.

A bit pricey, but worth it for convenience and luxury accommodations.

    9PatrickPosted on: 1-13-2026

A very nice a la cart breakfast, with numerous choices for eggs, meat, cheese, coffee, etc. Great, friendly staff. The entire interior of the building is beautiful, from entry to bar/restaurant, and of course the actual room. I would definitely recommend.

We were greeted by extremely friendly staff at the front desk of this lovely hotel. It was decorated so beautifully for Christmas and the bar and lounge area were also so pretty. Our room was exceptional and we absolutely loved having a view of the canal. The room was spacious and spotless and we enjoyed spending some time in the room itself - especially at midnight on NYE - the fireworks display from the local residents was awesome. The location of the hotel was also central to everything we did on the trip. Would highly recommend to anyone!

We stayed at The Toren for four nights with our family and had a great experience. The location is excellent — central, beautiful, and perfect for walking around Amsterdam. The staff were extremely kind, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay. The room was very comfortable, and the in-room jacuzzi was amazing, especially in the cold winter weather.

Nothing significant. Everything met our expectations, and we really enjoyed our stay.

    10ErikaPosted on: 12-14-2025

Excellent location, walking distance to central Amsterdam but far enough away for peace and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

    10IgorPosted on: 12-14-2025

Everything was great right from first step.We received nice tour from host who explained how everything works.

Using heater and spa wasn’t intuitive but there were instructions in the drawer.

    10DenisPosted on: 11-25-2025

Special premises in excellent location. Stay were most professional and helpful especially Gerry and Abdullah.

    Beautiful ambience.

    9IchelePosted on: 11-25-2025

Beautiful lobby and cozy, very nice bar/restaurant/lounge area. Great location. Comfortable bed.

Bathtub did not drain well. Hair dryer did not work properly.

    9ErikPosted on: 11-24-2025

The breakfast was really nice in a beautiful room overlooking the canal.

We didn't like the brown carpet in our room as it carried an odor from previous guests/smokers.
