    Pros +

    • Location is amazing. It?s convenient for first time tourtists. Most places are walking distance. Location is at a popular plaza surrounded by restaurants, clubs, coffees and more.
    • Our room overlooking Rembrandt Square was wonderful. The staff also went above and beyond to help us even when our needs did not relate to the hotel. Would recommend highly and would definitely stay there again.
    • Great location across from Rembrandt Square. Lots of restaurant choices nearby. Can walk to most attractions. Restaurant and snack shop on-site. Room was clean, decent size and modern. Would stay here again.

    Cons -

    • Beds were firm. Area can be a loud at night with nightclub/¿coffee shop¿ next door. We were on upper floor facing back so not an issue for us. Also, cars not allowed in the square so taxi pick up/drop off are around the corner, be ready to drag luggage
    • It's in a lively area (which was great) just know there will be street noise if your room faces the square.
    • Not air conditioned

The hotel was perfectly situated. Great location! The room was a good size, had everything you needed.

    Not air conditioned

Views from the window were spectacular. The location could not be better.

The receptionists are very kind and helpful, and the smile on their faces, thanks

Since they have a lot of Arab visitors, I hope they put the water rinsers in the toilet, consideration for them

Location is excellent - close to just about everything and located on Rembrandtsplein which is very festive but not raucous. The staff are also lovely, really helpful and efficient. The breakfast and bar area is a perfect spot for people watching - highly recommended for a city break

Ubers cannot drop you at the hotel which makes travelling with luggage a challenge - its a short walk but not an easy one - especially in bad weather

Nice stay in the square - while it was a busy square - the room was still quiet enough to sleep. Great location - we only stayed one night on our way to other adventures. Would stay here again.

location, great room and view on the square, very clean

some of the staff could do with some cheering up (a smile doesn't cost anything) and the service provide in the hotel "lobby/cafe was rubbish,..

Enjoyed my stay. Great location near the city center. Thank you for the early check-in.

The sound insulation in the rooms is not very strong, and some noise from nearby events could be heard, but it did not bother me.

Location was favorable, close to publicTransportation and attractions.

Seemed old and outdated.Rooms were small.

The location of the hotel is amazing, as it is accessible to so many places. This is my second time staying at NH Amsterdam Schiller.

I just don’t like that they are very strict about their 3:00 PM check-in time. The flight I usually take to Amsterdam arrives early in the morning, so I prefer to check in and rest first instead of walking around while most stores are still closed. I hope they can take this into consideration, especially since I was on a 7-hour flight.

great shower, room was spacious and comfortable

Location was fab to walk everywhere. Friendly staff who were very accommodating.

Nice to have mugs. Teacups too small. Fresh milk would have been nice. All hotels, not just this one, should have a way of guaranteeing cups and glasses have been washed properly, not just leave it to trust.

    Not what I expected.

There was a mouse in our room. When we brought it to their attention, they moved us to another room. Not terribly concerned about it. The front desk staff was disorganized. If I ran a hotel and a customer had a rodent in their room, I would have comped them and moved them to a nicer room. I would not recommend this property.

    7MarkPosted on: 10-23-2025

The location was great, within walking distance to a number of interesting places. We did have a balcony room which overlooking the square.

Staff were not very friendly and seemed uninformed about operations. The concierge was not helpful at all, and could not recommend places to eat or drink. We were charged for hotel and then they changed additional $ for bed and breakfast. We checked out at 6 am the last day and they still charged us for bed and breakfast even though we checked out before the breakfast was available. When I questioned the charges, the night staff said they could not help me, I had to talk to the day manager l. But I was leaving before the manager began work. They gave me the impression, they were going to ignore my issue. The night staff didn't want to provide me a bill, but i forced the night staff to print out a partial bill, but never got a final bill via email. Bad customer service. I don't think I should have been charged for breakfast the last day, because it was not avaliable when I checked out. The bed and breakfast charges were excessive given what was provided. I would not recommend staying there to anyone.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. Location of hotel was very central and walkable to key sights.

You could hear the club music playing until 5 am over weekend which was tough to get a good night sleep. Room was small, but we were thankful to check in early.
